Think outside the box....
Also, our Nexus one has the Desire 720HD video, camera, music, albums, Samsung launcher and icons, Acer launcher, MIUI power widgets, Droid animation start up, and many many more things... implementing a little of this and a little of that to create the best ROM.
Adding this to our Nexus would be a win.

Get busy then

I posted a thread about this a while back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=798760
so far no good replies.....I remember reading something about not being able to draw in to the notification menu, so it seems to be rom dependent. I'm not sure about that though .
In any case, for the mean time I recommend using itching thumb as a task manager / switcher.
Also, I feel like this thread should be moved to development or themes and apps.....

[App][WM6.5][13 MAY 09]Titanium Theme Manager [Dev PLACEHOLDER]

This is a project in development, the idea is to have a centralized place to switch themes from, without having to re-install them one on top of the other, creating ugly cluttering and chaos lol. No ETA at all on this, but sounds fairly easy to accomplish (lol see screenshot) Subscribe to this post for future release.

once this gets off the ground it would be awesome to see a repositiry that the app (or maybe an alternate app that feeds the theme chooser app the detail) can download themes from. Just an idea and I am not suggesting I have any idea how to accomplish it. Kinda a themes app store if you will.
you are really a king into themes *.*

White notification bar and camera app question

Is it possible to get the white "droid like" taskbar on a desire? Also, the camera app in my opinion is not as nice as this one

Can you change this with a simple apk?
Thanks in advance, i looked trough the threads but couldnt find anything..
More than a 100 views and nothing?
i'd also really like to know if possible to switch between the stock android and the black sense notification bar
i know theyre different software but perhaps this can be achieved through a theme or something?
The white topbar is doable, it's done in many roms, and there are plenty of people doing this.
Camera app may be as simple as having Root and finding an APK of the stock 2.1 camera app, and installing over HTC's, or it may just not work altogether.
Wow. Didn't think many people would want the white bar. It's been the standard for a while, and it's one of the things I, and I think many others, like about Sense. Would be kind of neat if they made it where you could adjust the color of it to anything you wanted or could adjust the opacity of it.
Amoled wants black user interface for battery-saving.

[Suggestion] I have a Clock App idea

Hello everybody. I saw that picture on a website and is was looking good for me.

Thats the picture I saw.
I think it would be nice
I know minimalistic text but it would be nice
Not exactly like the one on your picture, but have a look at "tajm" in the market....
I just finished Android Apps like this clock.

It is looking really good but 4x4 is too big for my screen. Can you make a 2x2 widget?
Yes its very nice. Things I would like to see though...
1) scalability
2) transparency
3) tap to launch app of choice (eg alarm clock)

New Launcher Idea

I've asked this question before but I'm looking for a Launcher alternative. Back in 1995 there was a PC operating system competing with Windows. I think it was called Xerox Tabs, but I cannot confirm that.
The home screen looked like a Franklin Daily Planner with Tabs on the side.
I'd like an Android launcher like that. I'd like to be able to customize the tabs, what opens each time you click the tab, and the over all appearance of the launcher.
I've seen something similar called Opus Dimini in iPad, but it's not a launcher. I've also used this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I think we would need more than just a theme, but really a launcher with pages that flip, and you can display anything from widgets to icons and folders.
Is anyone up to this? Or know of something that would work?
Thanks in advance.

I think that Total Launcher can do what you want. I've made and use a similar theme with tabs:

Total launcher is the only launcher which let you completely change the look and functionality of home screen.

Rounded notifications like ios or android P

You should check out swift installer, it has that option
Try envy~
Hi! If your problem hasn't been solved already, I highly recommend one of envy~'s themes! Lots of effort is put into their themes. It definitely shines through when you use the theme. The animations, hand-drawn icons, and overall ui are amazing and true to Samsung. envy~'s PieforOreo theme provides just what you're looking for. The only downside is that you'll get a complete android pie makeover in addition to the notifications. I've attached a screenshot of what the notifications look like, and a link to envy~'s PieforOreo page. It's important to read through the entire PieforOreo section because there's a fix you need to install to get the notifications rounded. And as all themes not on the Theme Store go, they're just trials and will likely expire. If the theme doesn't stay for more than ten minutes, go to this link: https://youtu.be/i6gZh63V2ZI and download & install the apk appropriate for your android version. There's no setup needed and as soon as it's installed trials will stay on permanently.
Here's the link to envy~'s theme:
