i want the HTC Official 2.1 eclair rom for wildfire... because when 2.2 froyo release i want to update my wildfire via software update by htc...

isnt it your wildfire is already official 2.1 eclair when you bought it?.. unless you already flashed to a custom ROM, and i hope before you flash to a custom ROM, you made a backup of your original ROM?..

If you bought the unit from the Philippines, it should have 2.1 update-1. If its not in the releases in the site, you should just get the latest instead.

hi guys... any hints on when the official Froyo update for our Wildfire will be coming out?
I'm quite disappointed with the device as I have compared it with the Galaxy 5. The Galaxy 5 performs better and is able to run games without lags.
I wonder if the update will improve the performance of the Wildfire.
HI! I'm wondering if there's any way to downgrade Motorola Defy to its stock 2.1 eclair? Upgraded to Froyo and I'm a bit disappointed. Fellow Filipino here.

I'm currently having a rooted HTC Hero with the 1.5 ROM. I would like to upgrade it to the latest version for the Hero. The phone says I have one new system upgrade but I'm unable to complete the upgrade because I have a rooted phone.
So is there any XDA-guide to follow for upgrading a rooted device?

there isn't an official upgrade to 2.2.
you could install a custom froyo rom (such as froyd villain) or upgrade to a more stable rom (such as chocolate eclair or vanilla eclair)

You're right. The official is 2.1 but how do I upgrade to that version with a hacked device?

Instead of using the rom it mentions, which is old, flash the zip for froydvillain or whatever you want using patched recovery
For those who intalled the Pre-release or leaked 2.2. Htc are working to get a offcial air update to be in track for those who install the unofficial 2.2 and avoid Bricked phone.

So I havent visited the threads for months and im wondering what kind of updates/changes have we gotten on the x10? The time I left was probably a few weeks after we got 2.1 on it. So im wondering how we are doing in terms of Android version, multitouch, etc. The number of threads some with 2.1 some about 2.2 and 2.3 are all too confusing so it would be nice if someone could update me.

2.2 custom ROM ( Free X10 by Z ) is almost stable, only video recording not working.
2.3 custom ROM ( by jerpelea ) is out for beta, with few issues, not yet ready for everyday use.
MIUI, SENSE, Cyanogen mods are being developed, but not as complete as other ones.
Dual touch update for Japan is out, the kernel has been extracted by Bin4ry and Dualtouch can be enabled on every ROM right now.

In July I flashed my Apollo to ICS, although relatively stable the are no fixes for the camera or YouTube apps. As I was and still am a novice when it comes to modding, I didn't backup the original firmware that it came with. Android 2.2 Froyo. Mea Culpa. I haven't been able to find any stock roms/builds/firmwares for my phone. I was hoping someone would be able to provide me/ link the original roms/bu..... . Many thanks if anyone can help me

you can also switch to custom froyo rom..like Kyrillos 9.6 , Dutchmods etc..These roms are fully working and stable..and ofcourse more function in compare of Stock Rom...
