This looks very promising

Impressive

Whoa awesome. I'm wondering how he's doing this semi-hack and how much battery he's getting. Can't wait

Can't wait to try it!

Thought this want possible without full root?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2

That's insane.

Impressive! What program did you use to overclock it?

I can't friggin wait!

Check the twitter link to fallow the development
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

Where is he going to release the overclock kernel at?

Probably on here idk any other fallowings of root and development with a bigger community

looks very promising. I saw something about a score of 9000, what is that concerning?

This is just a taste of what is to come. Cant wait to get my hands on that kernal!
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

Wow... that's nice! Hmmm... how was it done? I am confused on how it was flashed. Obviously, it wasn't flashed but.. sorry.. just confused. And excited! This will be interesting to examine... to say the least!

In light of not being able to use a custom kernel yet, he's doing it with a kernel module I believe.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

.... I really don't know what to say about that right now...
How hot's the device runnin?
How long is the battery lasting?
Is the device still stable? (NOT FREEZING...)
These are things we need to know!
And we will, in time. Not rushin, just really shocked and excited at the same time...

...good luck with this.
If this was when it was first released, sure. Not likely now though.
Maybe if you add like $400 on top of the HD2, LOL
Keep it and put Froyo on it?
I have a question about putting android on HD2. How successful and stable is this with Froyo?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Really successful, really stable, and really good benchmarks! Better than Nexus One. And the videos look really smooth! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754675
Another query is what about battery performance? Given i think its only a 1250mah battery. I owned the HD2 in january but sent it back after a week due to it not being satisfactory. Battery life on windows 6.5 was really poor. What do you think?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
*BUMP*
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
just put froyo on it... it honestly feels the same except a bigger screen
My buddy has an hd2 and with froyo running he said his bat life is baddd.

This is what i was expecting.
One reason not to get one if this is the case. Anymore users out there that have put Froyo on there HD2, can you confirm this please?

I recently flashed Nightly 19 and it included Wifi calling! (Thanks for that CR!) It seems to be fairly stable so far, I will do more testing later as I haven't slept for 22 hours! Also I flashed Migueltherocker's OC kernel and on build 19 the highest I got was 1360 and that is the highest I have seen my slide go! So Thank you ChiefzReloaded and MiguelTheRocker for all the time and work you put into dev'ing the slide!

I don't trust Quadrant at all for proper benchmarking.
Case in point, check my attachment.
That was on CM6.1.1 with a2sd and smartass lol.

the only problem is the mute/unmute and GPS. Battery drain has been fixed a long time ago.

Wait for it. It is definitely not daily driver yet.
ill do just that

I've been using it for a daily driver for about one month now. I consider it stable enough as a daily driver as do many other people do.
The only annoying thing is mute/unmute. But it annoys my friends more than me because they start off saying "hello???" and then I remember to do it
The mute/unmute thing isn't much of an issue to me. Its only happened to me once. The only thing that bothers me is GPS but other than that its a good daily driver. Also one of the things that I really like about it is the T-Mobile theme engine. It makes switching themes a breeze. Being able to watch Netflix on my phone is great as well.
