Please don't start opening these types of threads in the Development section. If there were ROMs available, you would see a post for it in this section. We do not need to clog up the forum before we even get started. This should be asked in the general section as it has NOTHING to do with development. Just don't want this forum clogged with posts that are not real ROMs or development and make people (like me) click into forums that are not worth it.
you can report the threads to the mod w the triangle button on the top right so they can move it to the General forum.
At least thats what they had us doing in the G1 forum for a while.

Awesome. I did not know that. I wrote that from the mobile app which does not have that option (maybe a future feature) but will def keep that in mind in the future.

I am EAGERLY awaiting CM6 for Glacier. Sense has some neat features but in general it bugs me. With a clean version of Android plus Cyanogen's customization options this phone will be exactly what I want.

I would like to apologize if this is the wrong area to put this I am new, and assumed since I'm talking about a possible ROM you guys call it, it would go in development.
Hi guys I'm completely new to these forums and I'm new o android, however I managed to root my myTouch 4G and got ROM manager and all that down. But I'm seeing people with STOCK Android on their myTouch 4Gs and I'm wondering how? Is there a possible link that would put me in the right direction???

Because they're using Cyanogen Mod. There's a thread here in the dev section.
Mackster what a coincodence. Your videos are the ones that helled me root it hahaha. With stock can I still use my wigets or no??

If you're thread title has "Question" in it and/or your thread ends with "???" it's belongs in the Q&A section. By seeing do you mean you actually with your eyes saw? or heard people talking about running stock on here? cause on here running "stock" does not mean the same thing as "vanilla" or regular android. It means they're running the rom the phone came with.

On stock or "Vanilla", "AOSP", or Cyanogen Mod... or any other non-sense version of the phone you will not be able to run the HTC widgets, but I'm sure there are some similar ones out there if you look.

Search for the gingerbread keyboard. Best one to use IMO. That's what I'm currently using.

I'm coming from the G2, and in that section, there is nobody like you ****ing repeating the same **** over and over again. Anyway I have the same type of question, I just got Cyans rom running on my phone today but I do miss Htc's touch input I had been using on the stock phone over swype, and ideas how to get that?
Install both to get HTC_Ime.

The camera isn't the same as ours so a lot of the functions won't work. Rafyvitto already ported it over to the MyTouch4g. Google "android-mesters". Should be the first link to come up.
This is going to be locked... Questions go in Q&A obviously. Read the sticky the mod put on questions in development

I have a LG mytouch 4G from Tmobile and I just did a factory reset on it. After I did that, it would boot up fine to the setup menu and when it would ask me for my gmail account the widget would crash and tell me to force close.
Now, it won't even do that. It boots up and sits on the Android screen. I can't even turn the phone off anymore, I have to take the battery out.
I was wondering if the phone is savable? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
