What is the T-MOBILE Equivalent ... - Galaxy Tab General

I am trying to help a friend with his aging Android phone, but I am on Verzion and he is on T-Mobile. To update/reestablish troubled communications on Verizon, we dial *228. Is there a similar function / number / etc for T-Mobile? Thanks!

T-Mobile G2 on Verizon LTE - Data working but no SMS/calling

So I got my unlocked T-Mobile [d801] G2 working on Verizon 4G LTE. I just can't make calls or send SMS. Is this because it has to go over CDMA or something?
I'm still using the T-mobile ROM. Vzw LTE works fine - like hangouts phone calls and web sites.
Just curious about this.
I'm going to the UK (London) soon, I don't expect to have 4G but I should get 3G on the 2100MHz band according to "willmyphonework".
Does Verizon require you to call in and register the phone imei?
No I just had to add the APN info and "register" on the network via the phone. I had some issues with the LG G2 due to its poor radio, but that doesn't represent the entire process which is usually quick and easy.

Activate T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 on Sprint networks

Hi I was wondering if anyone had tried to activate a T-Mobile S4 variant on Sprint networks . I read where one will need a valid ESn Number . I realize that Sprint uses different bands for their voice text and LTE data then T-Mobile does . Would I need to install a Sprint variant S4 rom to solve this issue with the cellular modem radio . Any help appreciated
Late reply here. You have issues that will make it very difficult for you to accomplish what you're trying to do.
1. You can't install a Sprint ROM on a T-Mobile device. Odin will check to determine whether the ROM is correct for the device, and if it isn't, will refuse to install it.
2. Installing a Sprint baseband on a T-Mobile device, if it were possible, would render the wireless capabilities of the device useless until the T-Mobile baseband were restored.
3. You'd need to convert the IMEI to an ESN. This is perhaps the easiest thing to do since the ESN is the IMEI, but ignoring the very last digit in the IMEI (the check digit).
4. Sprint is extremely reluctant to activate non-Sprint phones on their network, to the point of outright refusal in some cases.
I personally recommend switching from Sprint to T-Mobile or an MVNO using T-Mobile if you really want to use this device. Not only is the service better than Sprint, you don't have any hoops to jump through in order to get the S4 working on the network. If you insist upon using Sprint, find a different device.

TotalWireless Activate Samsung Note3 Verizon

Hello. I have an old Samsung Note3 Verizon SM-N900V. I have it unlocked running Android 10.
I want to use this with a PrePaid Card, but does not seem to be available. Does anyone know how to make this work?
The only providers I know that "Could" work are Total Wireless or Straight Talk.
Both Nt10wireless & TotalWireless when I enter the IMEI, it says:
IMPORTANT MESSAGE! Our partners are upgrading their network and your phone is not compatible with the new technology.
on Verizons prepaid activation, when I enter the IMEI it says:
Oops, Looks like your device is no longer supported on our network.
Does anyone know if there is any hope to get this working?

SM-G975U1 - locked to Verizon Towers?

My situation... bought an 'unlocked' S10+ from Amazon. When I put my ATT sim in it, I get a message:
"Sorry, your device can't be activated on another carrier's network right now. For help, contact Verizon...."
So - I talk to Verizon. The technician told me, yes, it is unlocked, but will only work on 'Verizon Towers' - and some stuff about cdma vs gsm sim cards? And that my phone (SM-G975U1) can only use cdma cards and verizon service? No ATT - No T-mobile.
Can I get some feedback on this from those (you!) that might know better - or be able to explain it to me a bit?
I thought **U1 phones were able to be used on anyone's network?
Thanks!
More info...
Under settings/mobile networks, my options are:
Global
LTE / CDMA
LTE / GSM / UMTS
I seem to be able to register/join att network - but no luck using the phone (no calls, no sms)
I do notice I only have an IMEI number in 'About phone' (and I read I'd have both EMEI and (MEID or an ESN) if my phone could do both... so, a little confused there.)
Also - I have flashed a couple firmwares to no avail...
