Does the 6250 have video out? - Hero CDMA General

if so how do I make it work? I have the htc video out cord that works with my touch pro but I don't know how to get it working on the HTC Hero 6250. Also how do I know if my HTC Hero 6250 is still under the 1 year manufacture warranty? what do I do?

The Hero does not support video out.

HTC Touch HD w/ QWERTY

Does anyone have an idea or thinks HTC will launch HTC Touch HD with QWERTY and call it HTC Touch HD Pro?
Anyway, that would be my perfect phone. I was about to buy HTC Touch Pro but when HTC Touch HD came out, I kinda relaxed thinking HTC Touch HD might be the right product for me. All I can think of now is, will those fellas in Taiwan come up with the Pro version for HTC Touch HD?
Any suggestions?

I had the same thoughts, then I realised that we did not have qwerty with the original Pocket Pc's. Therefore why not use a fold up (stoway) keyboard. Carry with you only when needed and it is better sized keyboard as well. Then when not required you only carry a thin phone with you the HD!

I was going to post the exact same thoughts. I too wanted to pick up the HTC Touch Pro. But after seeing the HTC Touch HD, I convinced myself I would be willing to wait up to a year, for something with that screen and a QWERTY slider. I hope HTC has this in their recent plans.
The thing is as the screen is quite large, the keys on the virtual keyboard may be quite wider and therefore make your typing more accurate. Also there are third party software keyboards that are full screen such as spb full screen keyboard. Google "spb full screen keyboard screenshots" and go to the first result.
BTW, does anyone know how I can get rid of the vodafone logo at the top right corner of this post? I am not on vodafone anymore. Cant figure where in my profile settings I can remove it.
The truth of the matter is, when it comes to engaging in multiple sms texting communications, it's hard to beat an actual, physical keyboard. It seems HTC would agree by their decision to produce the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro (I know there are other hardware specs also).
What would be the harm to allow consumers to have the option? I don't consider a portable folding keyboard as an option, to engage in texting and emailing discussions. That would be too cumbersome for quick messaging.
Come on HTC..........bring this to reality.......bring this to the states for ATT 3G. Hopefully this could be a true Hapy Thanksgiving in 2009. I'm prepared to wait it out a year for this one.

This is almost impossible. A friend used to have something like that for one of his old HTC PPC without the physical QWERTY - I think it was cruise or p3600. He gave it away for a kaiser so nothing beats the physical.
Imagine dropping ur fold-up keyboard home thinking, ok no heavy texting today. Suddenly, during the day you find yourself out of the office and had to send loads of emails and txt colleagues. Damn you will bite those fingers
Was thinking Athena earlier before Touch Pro. My brother got that and I wasnt all that impressive with what I saw. I wanna belive HTC Touch HD Pro will come out Q1 2009
HTC Touch HD Pro is what I am waiting for if it would finally see the daylight.

So someone add more networks to Finland. We do not have Telia anymore here
I just want a bigger screen then my Tilt with VGA and 3G here in the USA
the keyboard to me is no big deal
Looks like I will do the upgrade to the Fuze from my Tilt on my wifes upgrade then maybe if the HD comes to the USA in 2009 I can do the upgrade on my account
I hope
If they could also add
-Flash
-VGA video recording at 30 fps
-DVB-H (we got nation wide coverage of DVB-H overhere in the Netherlands)
and maybe even :
-Opticall zooming
Then it would come close to the perfect phone untill Nvidia tegra processors arive.
thanks Bjluv!

sell it... to me... $100
or flash the latest ROMs and try fix all the bugs
that should be entertaining and a great service to the community
Give it to me and get a new phone?
Bit of a strange question. How extraordinary can phones be?
Maybe paint it pink, it would look extraordinary then! Do you like playing games? Get some new games for it.
It is not a gaming device u know, No D-pad or keys... So far im still using the stock ROM, no bugs for me.

You can use Orb (www.orb.com)
Get microsoft voice commander, and start having conversations with your phone... (to be fair the conversations are limited to asking it about signal strength, battery levels, date, time and upcoming appointments... but it's fun to see the reaction on peoples faces when you talk to your phone and your phone speaks back to you.
also being able to launch applications and mp3s by speaking is just cool.

Flash your phone with the latest Radio and Dutty's 2.3.
You will be amazed by the speed and added functionality.
Plus, you don't need to get a Touch Pro 2. Dutty's 2.3 utilizes almost the same manila.

I think HTC gives better support to Touch HD
although, SE is busy with X1 update(s), it just takes some time.
Also I think there are more Custom roms (cookers) for HTC Touch HD than SE X1
But anyway, wish u luck than
As a SE fan, I am used to wait a lot between all updates... They just want to be sure everything is ok when they release it.
But I can understand your choice, I had the same idea, not because I hate my X1, I just love it, but just to try the Touch HD. Then I could switch back to the X1 if preferred.
Yeah
SE isn't bad at all, but HTC has a lot more experience with WinMo than SE.
Also, SE focusses more on casual mobile users and HTC has more Pro users who knows how to use WinMo.

i think leobox had plenty of problem with his X1. Notably on his keyboard, which got very unresponsive. i hope im right here....im sorry if im wrong
anyway the keyboard problem DOES bugging me too...it made me think about Touch HD now...although i might stick around and wait for Touchpro 2...
yes crazy keyboard camera button.. half hearted SE support.. sigh
i went to HTC website .. they even have hot fix for problems between big updates.. seems like good committment...
so far, i loveee the big screen BEST!
but i really miss u all.. think i will pop by here too
I'd rather have something I can spend time on fixing like my PC, but that's just crazy me
Have fun at your new home :d
darn
i am new to winmo, actually the xperia is my first winmo owned device after going tru SE Uiq handsets, played with a few other htc devices, but there is just something about the x1 thats different, i know you will be back lol, its like leaving your BMW home to drive and show off in a Suzuki Swift.
i updated my rom via seus and so far i have never experienced and crashes or hangs, im loving this baby
typed from xperia

Cheers - and goodbye. :)

Just wanted to say since I've had my Touch HD I've had countless support from everyone on here, theres too many names to mention, but today, I received my Touch Pro 2 and will be leaving this forum... (only down the road though, 2 doors down I think).
Never been a better set of people working with a device and I thank each and everyone of you, especially the chefs and their support teams, without you my HD would be no where near as good as it is now.
Hopefully you will all be getting a Touch Pro 2 and coming to help me there, but until then, I'll only be in this forum in dribs and drabs helping where I can until I sell my HD.
Au revoir!

NICE... Congrats Pal. I will be seeing you shortly in that section too. I am waiting for T-Mobile to release that device for us here in the US so that we'll have the 3G capabilities .
But Touch HD would still be one of the top devices I have used.
I will chk out your reivew on the TouchPro (Rhodium) section if you have one.
Congrats on your new mobile.
I need a help from you if possible.
Iam also planning to buy a touch pro 2.
But, it will be really helpful for me if you can give me few details about your new phone.
1. Is it having the same yellowish tint as Touch HD screen?
2. Have you tested the out of box video playback ? is it the same as HD or any improvement (I mean some updates video drivers??
3. What about the battery life? (too early i know , but still)
Thanks in advance
Goodluck and congrats on your new device my friend...
have fun, moved thread to blackstone
But why do you leave this beautiful thin device THD and get this ugly fatty TP2?
Nice mate,
i wish you all the best there.
i wanted to get a TP2 but it was not yet released when i flushed my X1 so i got HD.
btw TP2 has a 0.2 inches smaller screen, can u live with that?
for me, i will not get a TP2 unless an external KB is essential.
best of luck

Haha, I know what you mean, but with this device being narrower and a bit fatter, it actually feels better in the hand. Plus I want a hardware KB, this has it where the HD obviously don't. Love both devices, can't fault either.

You don't really notice the difference, whats 0.2"!!! No seriously, you don't notice the difference but the screen does look a lot clearer than the HD for some reason, I thought they were the same. Seems more responsive too.
Has more on front too, nice to have a Start Menu button and a home button as well as the hardware Zoom slider, Front notificaiton light is always nice too

Will let you know these, haven't tested them as yet. Not sure what you mean about the yellowish tint?? Video playback I would imagine is the same as this is driver issue not hardware.
Battery life actually has a monitor on it from last full charge, so will let you know in next few days about that, fully charging it now so tomorrow will be day 1
Congrats on your new device!
Personally i prefer those 0.2" and a 3.5mm jack

I was the same as you to be honest, a little bit pesemistic about the tp2 as I had my Blackstone, I didn't know what could be better, but I needed the hw kb.
To my amazement, the screen is clearer and more responsive, but don't get me wrong, if it wasn't for the hw kb, I wouldn't have changed.

Ok, again, not had chance to check video but will be doing that later today.
Battery.... A nice feature is that when you go into settings--power, there is an information tab at the end, which displays the time you have used it.
So far, my battery has depleated 11% (I'm on 89% left) with factory stock ram and so far I have...
19 hours, 10 minutes standby
41 minutes talktime
44 minutes device usage
Device usage is just when you have the device out of standby, whilst I've been doing this I've installed about 15 programs, set up Tom Tom, used Tom Tom for 10 minutes and also been playing with settings... So far I'm quite impressed.
I've also sent/received 32 text messages.
Hope this helps
Think I'll hold off purchasing any new phones until something comes along and blows my mind away. Unfortunately the TP2 didn't do this for me, but have fun anyhow.
@ nicelad_uk - Best of luck with your new baby. I hope you were well rested beorehand mate

I actually think the Hero looks great! It stands a bit out, compared to others....and the vid's around looks good. Guess this will be my next HTC (a nice upgrade from my current Cruise)
The multitouch is only a software limit on the Magic. I've installed the Hero rom and the browser got the multitouch... with it's speed limit of course... flash also is there... don't know if Adobe will make this build available on its site so one can install it on other Magic roms...
