Official Spotify for WM 6.x - HD2 General

Guys, the official Spotify app for WM 6.x is OUT!!!
http://www.spotify.com/int/blog/archives/2010/10/04/windows-phone/
This put a smile on my face. Glad to see that some of these developers still care about WM 6.x users.

ahh, requires premium, shame.

looking at all the different mobile apps they all need the premium service

Why is Spotify not available in my country?
Click here to find out why…
Germany gotta wait...

This was all I was waiting for... Spotify now have one more Premium subscriber.
One problem with the app for me though... every time a new track starts, the volume gets reset to the lowest setting. Is anybody else getting this? I'm on a fairly new EnergyROM... can't remember exactly which.
M

I have the same problem. I suggest you report it at: http://getsatisfaction.com/spotify/problems/recent

FREE streaming internet music. You can listen to preset stations or create your own by simply entering a band or song you like.

if I am not mistaken, slacker and pandora work only in the States though.

Another Premium member here now however my main issues is that I cant get it to play over ad2p to my head unit. Windows media player is the only mp3 player that will from what I can tell. Very annoying.

I get Spotify to play perfectly fine with A2DP. However, the AVRCP part doesn't seem to work. I'm using an HTC HD2 with at Nokia BH-503 headset.

uk internet radio player

Im looking for a uk radio station streaming app ie: galaxy radio1 kiss etc.just got my desire and new to android.
The FM radio App has them on there! Why don't you use it?
He might not be able to get those stations on FM where he lives!
I can understand it. I like to listen to Capital to keep up on what is going on up in London, but obviously it's not transmitted outside London....
I know Resco do something for WM, but i don;t know about for android...there doesn't seem to be anything obvious in a quick search of the market....
ive found an app for galaxy fm but not a working version for all BBC radio channels etc. hopefully we can get one on android soon like Tunin on iphone
have you tried listening to the BBC channels using beebplayer? i'm sure i saw something about radio in there.... it's only likely to be the major stations and not the local/regional ones though.

thats the way to go, don't know if it'll work but go to your preferred bbc radio station site n hit the "listen live" feature
radio 1: bbc.co.uk/radio1
radio 2: bbc.co.uk/radio2
etc.
if the listen live function doesn't work, just get the url address when you use the "listen live" and enter that in coz they play through the iPlayer
ive tried the bbc website no joy, tried the beeb player the radio stations are not working, as for the copy the url into iplayer im not sure where.

FM radio will not work without external headphones or speakers. I like to use the built in speaker sometime.
Tried Xfm. Not bad but shame there's no BBC.
If you want a custom radio app with your favourite artists, I recommend Last FM application, it works pretty well on my Desire!
You'll need to sign up to Last.fm (free) and add your favourite artists to your library, works a bit like Pandora which is now defunct out of the USA

Internet Streaming Radio App [for outside of the USA]

Hey guys,
as the title say, I am searching for an App for streaming internet radio. I found Slacker and Pandora by searching the forum, but both programs only work in the USA.
Since I'm in Germany, I'm searching for an App which can stream internet radio over here.
ACTUALLY:
It is just about this radio station I want to listen to on my TP2: http://radiometro.com.au/player/listenonline.html
I copied this link into the "Streaming Media App" on my TP2, but it only said 'invalid link'. So if anyone could tell me how I could get it done to stream this radio station on my device, I would really appreciate.
Thanks,
Don
Try this one;
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-tag-miasto_muzyki_ppc.html
I am using for a long time, and its awesome. many different style-oriented radios as well as regular ones. you can see track list on the screen.
I love it.
Enjoy

open that page in your browser. In the View menu select Page Source
About a quarter of the way down you will find a line containing this
http://67.220.196.164:7777/listen.pls
Copy that and paste it into your browser (or alternatively copy the one above). When prompted save the file to your hard disk then copy it to your storage card.
Coreplayer will open it and play your radio station
HTH
Thanks a lot for the replies, but unfortunately none of them solved my problem.
@ royhapper: Installed it, started it, selected a channel, can't hear anything. Tried lots of channels, did 3 softresets,... reinstalled it,... no chance. Doesnt work
@ stunno: downloaded the listen.pls, but I dont feel like spending $30 on the CorePlayer. I know that I could use it for more than just streaming Radio, it definitely looks like a good player, but still.... $30 seems a little overpriced in my opinion.
Any other solution?

Give miasto muzyki one more try, I suggest. I am also having same problems since 2-3 days, its a system update or something I suppose. But now its working. I am listening at least.
This is a radio from Poland, you are closer than me, it must be easier for you )
@ royhapper: Still doesnt work.
I found an App called "Wunder Radio" which lets you listen to just about any radio station on this planet. There is a 15 day Trial Version,... and you can get a licence fpr $14.95
http://www.jeyo.com/radio.asp
Still dont want to pay though,... so if anyone figures a cost-free way, let us know
Try GSPlayer. It's a freeware media player that can play Shoutcast and other internet streams. I just tried it with the site you are trying to stream and it works just fine.
1. Download GSPlayer from http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
2. In GSPlayer select Menu > File > Open URL
3. Put in 67.220.196.164:7777 (don't add the /listen.pls part or it won't work)
4. It should start buffering and streaming...
It worked for me, and it shouldn't be limited to the US, since the GSplayer is from a Japanese site.

RADIO ?

Hello guys the app tunewiki and Pandora do they use alot of data to listen to music? And what's the best radio app to listen to Techno music?
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
I use Andro Radio.
There are a lot of Station for a lot of nations.
For techno music, in Germany, i listen to technobase.fm
About the data usage i couldn´t say anything.
I use tune in radio in uk. Uses data.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I love techno/electronic music and one of the best things I've found is di.fm. I don't know of an app for it but you could go to the site, select the station, and then it should stream it. They have every electronic genre you could imagine. Techno, dubstep, happy hardcore, trance, gabber, house, goa, electronica, hard dance, etc. You get the idea. lol. Also slacker has a pretty good selection when you select the electronic genre. There ya go!
Meridian also isn't a bad radio app.
It's hard to say how much data is used by streaming radio, to be honest. I'll give you an example though. My collegue has a 6gb data plan and he streams radio everywhere (in his car, at work, during lunch, etc.) and does some moderate to heavy browsing and downloads, he uses around 3gb of data... So it's up to you. Best way to test it is if you have a data monitoring app or if you look at your monthly usage through your provider.
3G watchdog is quite good for monitoring it, gives you daily as well as monthly data usages so you should be able to see how much you've used. Oh and I use Xiialive, a Shoutcast client with big buttons (easy to press from the bath without getting the phone too wet!) but to be honest I only really use it on wi-fi.
sent from my rooted x10i using XDA App
I have been hooked on using streamfurious to listen to rinse.fm and sub.fm I download the .pls file from a browser and and open it in streamfurious.
Here's another thread about using the program. Too n00b to link outside links.
forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-515286.html
i'm using xiialive to play shoutcast radio stations. it's alright i guess...

[Q] What is the best music player for android HD2?

Hi everyone, I would like to know what is the best music player for ANDROID HD2?
The one it comes with is garbage....Any links would be helpful!!! TY ALL
I would recommend Mixzing Media Player. I currently use it on my X10 and feel its the best for music. Lots of options and has a good eq. And I know you didn't ask but Rockplayer for video. Plays it all.
ty i will check it out
I love the default player that comes with all sense builds.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I have tried almost every good music player there is (Mixzing, bTunes, Player Pro, TuneWiki, and some others I don't remember), yet I've come back to using the stock player. Graphically it's not the most appealing there is, but heck, it does what it has to do without all the unneccessary hassle the others have.
Lithium Music Player
4 me is
Lithium Music Player
Yea your right mixzing is horrible too. Ill stick with stock for now.

Horrible?
Gapless playback, music suggestions, equalizer, id3tag editor (once you register it) and a lot of other things and you say that it's horrible?

I absolutely hated this whole suggestions thing. It worked so unintuitively yet took a prominent role, and the suggestions weren't very relevant either.
Mspot is great. i like the way you can also play your music from the cloud.
mini player is my fav based on the fact that it looks at a directory that you point it to, rather than seeking for all media on your sd card like the android player does. also has playlist now.
3 or sometimes called cube by phillip abrantes is a cool player it's in the market
i like tunewiki
Music PlayerPro is my pick. Closest to the stock app. Shows album art. Has 4 decent looking skins. Has its own lockscreen with a widget. And best of all you can select the music folder to play from.
Mixzing was ok. Just did a little more than I needed. I just want to listen to my music and not my ringtones if you know what I mean. Keep it simple.
Try Audio Player with EQ Platinum. It has a very good equalizer.

But you have to say that it isn't very fast, sometimes it stucks with loading music.

Do you know that you can set the folder(s) to scan for media within the options?
Also, regarding suggestions you can also disable them. Do you guys just stop on the first screen or what?

Just wondering if you're talking about the stock sense music player or Mixzing? I've hunted high and low in the stock player and can't find anywhere to tell it where to look.
Horrible yes,ok it is good, but it does not support rewind and forward on my jabra bt 3030....only back skip, and forward skip.....the sense player supports all my jabra functions....

[Q] How do you listen streaming music

I'm trying to find an app to listen streaming music.
have a couple of app's but none of them work.
for example
URL:http://u12b.di.fm:80/di_vocaltrance (which should be working with WinAmp)
but it's not working
or this one
http://u12b.di.fm:80/di_vocaltrance
should be working with win media player.
SO what APP do you use to listen streaming music/radio??
Thanx.
Audiogalaxy is def my favorite if my computer is on at home. Instant access to over 400gb of music to stream over 3g or wifi flawlessly.

Thanx Man !!!
we use Pandora and i heart radio apps.not to mention our extensive music collection we have bought over many years .Its all on google music. google music will sync everything you have on your desktop or laptop to the google cloud and you Can stream to your phone or tablet .. This is your own music and play list without taking up space on the phone. But you can select some of it or all of it to sync to your phone for off line.. Or tablet.
I just get a new huawei phone with a built in digital FM Tuner I seem to be using that alot.
There are alot of music stream apps we have tried and always go back to Pandora .Its great because its on the computers our tvs and the Car radio and Cell phone/my Tablet of course.
Thank you all.
Finally i've found app that will play my stations:
XiiaLive Lite - Online Radio
Works pretty good.
