Need help..Accidentally deleted an app - Droid X General

So I just updated from the leaked .13 froyo to OTA. As I was restoring apps and removing bloatware through Titanium Backup, I deleted the "Accounts" application. I thought it would remove the icon from the application drawer, which it did. However, now when I go to Settings > Accounts, I get a force close; also, the sync icon remains in my status bar. Can anyone either send me the apk, or the backup files from titanium??
Thanks in advance!

Is your phone deodexed or not?? I ask because if it is... you need a deodexed Account apk.

Can someone please explain deodex-ing please.

Look for chadhaney(. Com). Sorry for the (), I'm a new user and can't post links. Look for droid x default and it has downloads for all the stock apps.
This is the page i use to reinstall bloatware/system apps. After you download, it will save to your sd card.

In simple terms... deodexed is making your phone available to be themed. It removes all of the .odex files in the system/framework and system/app and combine them with their corresponding .apk
In a stock phone you will have as an example Camera.apk & Camera.odex. If you deodex your phone, the two .apk and .odex will be combined into one Camera.apk.
That is also how to check if your system is deodexed or not... look in your system/app & system/framework folders and if you do not see any .odex, then you are deodexed and ready for themes.
Sounds like you are not deodex so just follow what Lt1demon says.

[Req] NEED system/apps .apk backup

Can anyone make a backup of the stock system/apps folder with all the "bloatware" apk files. I made the mistake of deleting them instead of renaming, I need to get the original apk's on my phone so I can update! I've been looking/asking all over with no luck!
Thanks!
Im also looking for this. I backed up my apps, had a noob moment and accidentally deleted some of the backups while trying to get rid of the original.
Google "Fascinate System Dump"
http://forum.androidcentral.com/fascinate-roms-hacks/32839-fascinate-system-dump.html
Thanks! The systemdump had exactly what I was looking for.
Sorry I'm extremely new at this, what do I do with this file? I've deleted the clock application on accident while deleting the other clock widgets and want it back, but I'm not sure how to install the files once I've downloaded it onto my computer. Also considering to unroot to get the update. Please help.

By doing this wont we lose the ability to receive future OTA's or manually update without jumping through a thousand hoops? .... like when Paul's app modified the system folders to remove goggles?

It doesn't matter too much now. Just wait and we will get all kinds of custom ROMs and you can flash whatever you want. After OTAs come out, usually you can get a custom deodexed version within hours. At least that's how it was on my N1. I'm pretty sure there are more G2s in peoples hands now than N1s, hence more interest? Just guessing...

Back then, we didn't have S-OFF so putting the app back after it was deleted was impossible. Now we do have S-OFF so we're all good, as long as you backed-up the apps prior to removing them.
do i have to delete the the original .apk and .odex files from the system/app after moving the originals to the sdcard/backup? or do i just move it, and leave the original stuff in the system app. and reboot. and then install the CM apk's?
dam legit!

If you move them from one place to another, then they are only in the place where you moved the to, and are no longer in the place where you moved them from. Hence move not copy.

Cannot find some preinstalled in \system\app after upgrade to ICS and rooting

Dear all,
Yesterday I updated my P7510 to ICS using the UK ICS release and rooted the thing properly. I managed to delete some of the preinstalled apps using RootExplorer in the \system\app folder, but for example I cannot find the apk to get rid of Pulse (what is the name of the apk in this case). Is it located somewhere else or is there another folder in which apps are stored as well? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Although I can help you with the location, manually deleting the apps from /system/app seems like to much "work". Just get Titanium Backup and uninstall (and probably backup first) Pulse and all the other via the app.
Thanks for your reply. In the mean time I kicked out all unwanred preinstalled apps manually, so I am only looking for the apk name of pulse
I found that some apps were just "Installed" have you tried to just uninstall them?

Not all apps are installed to /system/apps when you ODIN flash, check /data/app for the Pulse.

Can't uninstall pre-loaded all - missing apk in TB

I have a rooted Rogers G2. I've used TB to uninstall most of the pre-loaded apps, but I get an "missing apk file" error when trying to uninstall the Rogers bloatware. I'm imagining the apk has been locked somehow in the permissions?
Anyone able to give me some direction on how to Get these useless apps off my device so I can reclaim some more storage?
Thanks in advance.

Instead of TB use root browser look in system/app or apps and just delete them straight out of there
I don't see them in either of those locations. There were the apk files in the vendor folder, but the file sizes were quite small and although I deleted them, the applications are still showing up under The settings.
If they update, would there be another folder location I should be looking in?

Did you also check priv-app?

mms cyanogen 12 apk touchwiz

Anyone can help me to install Cyanogen MMS apk on touchwiz lollipop , on I9505 ?
Btw, I managed to install Trebuchet on touchwizz and is fully working, but I need that MMS apk too.
Even a backup made with titanium backup would help me.
Thanks !
And please don't reply if you are a noob.
Are you trying to install them like regular apps, or are you copying them to /system/app or /system/priv-app as appropriate?

I copied it to both locations, I restarted my phone and now what?
Maybe I must copy it in a specific folder, but I don't know exactly where.
If you copied them to the proper locations Android should have updated on a reboot. Make sure the permissions are properly set. Other than that, if it's not working, e.g. force closing, then the app likely needs a supporting library not found in the Touchwiz ROM.

Ok. What is the proper folder? If you know it.
I did not find anything with sms
I mentioned the proper locations in post 2. MMS goes into /system/priv-app. The MMS directory, as all apps are now stored in their own directories, should have permissions rwxr-xr-x and the app itself should have permissions rw-r--r--.
