Help! Cannot setup automatic internet - XPERIA X10 General

I need help. I want to configure my internet and mms but in the Mobile network settings the option for Auto Internet Settings is disabled and I have also tried setting up the APN's for my carrier (which I have confirmed are correct) and still no internet or MMS. Any help would be appreciated.

I used to have that problem, the Auto Internet setting was grayed out. So, I de-brand my X10i phone to UK Generic, and it solves the problem...

Do you know if the SEUS debrand method where you replace the two files still works? Could you post a link to the download where you got the generic UK please?

Roaming
I know it's the obvious choice and you have probably checked but when roaming is disabled you can't use the internet settings away from your local network.
I'd check this initially... after that I'm stuck

HTC Hero Orange Branded.

Hey i was hoping you guys could give me some help with my hero. I bought it only a month ago and its orange uk branded. Im in Ireland and on the 3 network. When i got my phone i thought things were working fine, i could send texts and make and receive calls, and connected to the internet through WiFi. However when i purchased a 1gb mobile internet add on for my phone i noticed things were not working too well.
My phone wont pick up any 3g signal and keeps roaming onto another network, im assuming vodafone ireland. I also cant receive or send mms messages. All the APN settings and MMS settings are correct and in place. Initially i thought it might be the fact that its an orange phone that it wasn't working so i flashed it to mocados rom but still no luck. Im at my wits end trying to solve this issue.
any ideas or suggestions would be very welcomed.
Im new to all this but here are the details i can find about my phone:
Firmware version: 1.5
Baseband version: 63.18.55.06u_6.35.04.25
Kernel version: 2.6.27-mck-teknologist-1.9 [email protected]
Build number: MoDaCo Custom Rom 3.0 Core, SSH password: ......
Software version: 1.0.0.a6288
Hope these are anyway useful
what settings did you use?
3 uk (not sure if ireland has the same settings) just needs the apn name: three.co.uk and it works.

Help with my X10 and Movistar Mexico

I would like to use my X10 with Movistar Mexico, if fact everything (included the internet) it working, the only problem is the MMS configuration.
Anyone in Mexico with a solution for this problem?, or anyone with sugesttions?
I know that I have to create an APN for the internet and for the MMS, what I don`t know is if this 2 profiles has to be together or separeted.
Also I found that the "automatic configuration" is off, I mean, I can`t access it, maybe because Telcel blocked it.
Any ideas?
Regards
Jaime
try rooting ur phone, or re flash a generic firmware.
details on this forum, just do some research

I think I have this problem too after I tried (unsuccessfully) to root my phone. Now I can only get some networks (Tmobile & Orange) but not my network (Talkmobile, which piggybacks Vodafone). I've been googling around about this for a while and I think it may be that I need to cahange my baseband. Current ver is EPU93_U_00.60.03. But I don't know how to do this. Any help to a noobe would be much appreciated...

You could try with Baseband Switcher 4, and select your baseband...Then you have to set the APN.

[Q] Carrier specific GS4 kitkat offical roms

Hi, I had unrooted my i9505 and updated to kitkat (02 version). I am actually on the Tesco network and I thought that is what Tesco used. The rom seems fine, along with the network in general but I cannot use any mobile data networks. Does anyone know if this is because of the wrong rom or could this be a different error?
I have searched the forum and internet for a few hours but found nothing related to Tesco GS4 roms! : I used the 02 4.3 one from here and then update via keys to 4.4.2 -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
Thanks!
Tesco and o2 share the same network, but they probably have different access point settings. if you go to the tescomobile website or call support they should be able to send you some settings to ensure you have the right APN?
Are you connected to TESCO (it says TESCO in the carrier label when you pull down notifications?) Just also check that in "settings/more networks/mobile networks/access point names" that it relates to tesco and not to o2?

Started to work through these settings, forgot to try the APN. In a little bit of a pickle at the moment as I tried to flash an unbranded rom via odin and now cant boot the phone..Need to fix with kies it says but its not appearing. Think the APN was the problem when the phone (hopefully) starts working again.
Thanks!
Fingers Crossed. You should be able to use the unbranded ROM though. The only difference should be the preinstalled apps and maybe some backgrounds/branding on the boot logo etc?

Calling/internet stop working over time

Hi:
I am having very weird problem - calling and internet is working fine for some time (~15-30 days) and than all stops. This is happening when I am using 2G/3G or 2G/3G/4G mode. If I am only on 2G network there is no problem. Any ideas what could be the problem? Below is the phone spec:
Model: p8 lite ale-21 dual sim (for Eastern Europe)
EMUI: 4.0
Android ver: 6.0 NO ROOT

Seems a problem with the APN of your provider
Check if they are ok
You should find it under settings -> mobile network -> APN name ...

Try with another SIM
So if the problem persist it's the phone otherwise if the problem disappear is the SIM
