How many user they leave their device and will get desire HD - Desire HD General

Hi
So let us to know how many user they will get desire HD and what the last device you have before the Desire HD
Me: I make order for Desire HD
My current device
Xperia X10 (for sale)
Touch Pro2
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

I have already preordered the HTC Desire HD, and my current phone is the HTC Hero, great upgrade! Although I love my Hero!

I want to because having had a string of HTC phones in the past I'd love to come back to the fold........ but at the moment I'm sitting on the fence with my Galaxy S in one hand and in the other pages of info on the Desire HD to get through.

My contract is up in December after 18 fun filled months with a Hero (there have been times where i have loved it, such as now with froydvillain 1.5, and others times where i was ready to chuck it off the balcony!) ... I will certainly be upgrading to Desire HD

I'll bought Desire HD as soon as he arrive in my country...
I sold my HD2...temporary on my dummy phone

I am in the US if the phone comes to AT&T, I am getting it. My currect phone is the HTC Fuze (touch pro).

I'm using my Hero on Froyd Villian I'm 99% going to get this when my upgrade is due on the 16th November.

Prepare for the big disappointment. After you got it, you will probably realize that there is lag and other problems. So, you will bring back the Desire HD and buying another phone.

I am currently on the fence for now. I want the Desire HD so bad, but am happy with my Nexus and not sure how soon the Desire HD would get rooted as well.
Also, except for the big screen, not sure if its a worthy upgrade.
Decisions, decisions! If only it wasn't so expensive!

count me in. currently using 5800XM

ROFL, and this was posted by..... oh wait.... Super Galaxy S
Back on topic:
Despite the "LCD" screen uncertainty, I should be receiving my HD in about 2 weeks. I am reading and surfing the web a lot, so the 4.3" screen will be a must for me. The new 8th generation GPS (Desire has 7th gen) will also be a plus; it's a feature I am using almost every day.

I may possibly abandon my streak for the desire be just due to the fact of that there will be a lot more support for it and dell to be blunt are ****ing about to much for my liking.
Also the fact the roms been released footing wont be far off.

I am moving from a Touch Pro 2 to a Desire HD. Not sure how I'll get on without a physical keyboard but I am so desperately fed up of my Touch Pro 2 that anything will be an improvement!
I'm excited - can't wait for it to arrive!

I'm in the same boat as you mate. TP2 on Vodafone and sick and tired of my phone.
I have had a physical keyboard for years and still don't know how I am going to feel without the option. But I have found myself using the on screen keyboard more that the physical one. I think its just because I am lazy.
I'll be getting the Desire HD me thinks.

Galaxy s or desire hd

Its time for my nexus to rest so which one should i go for Samsung galaxy s Or HTC desire hd,which has better CPU and gpu and ram.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I say Nexus One, wait until there is a phone that have things that the N1 don't have or can handle... the SGS and DHD is no big upgrade imo.
Between those 2, go the HTC. Samsung has a bad name in android, until they change that, HTC is always the smartest option. For support, stability and updates

HTC all the way... geez!
Lol what about windows mobile 7
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I'm going to be getting a new phone soon as well.
But I'm in the US. I hate getting subsidized phones, due to being locked in for 2 years, and the fact that once a new phone comes out on at&t (like the recent galaxy s) everyone gets it.. and that's annoying.
WinPhone7 looks kinda goofy. But I can't take a poke at it since it's not officially released yet.
The Desire HD is something I really desire though.
had a play with one of htc's yet to be released windows phone 7 phones and I've got to say, I'm considering hanging up my nexus for one. I hope someone manages to port windows phone 7 to the nexus, that would be sweet

[Q] i need your guys opinion

someone just offered me a vibrant+$50 for my g2.
OR
HD2+50
yes? no?
No.... $150 and g2 maybe.....
Sent from my HTC Vision
Lol hell no are you serious? Like the guy above said at LEAST 150. I would even bump it to 200.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Both of those are downgrades, IMO. Why would you want to take a step backwards device-wise, even for a little extra money? Remorse is sure to ensue.
Vibrant is cheap plastic, and lots of issues with that phone (CPU lag, major GPS problems) and there is less developer support on XDA for Samsung phones. HD2 is old hardware, that phone was released Nov. 2009.
Check out this post by another guy that traded his G2 for the Vibrant, and totally regrets it. Don't be him.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=910953
remember, the G2 is your "baby".......
I'll give you a c-note, one of those phones and a Klondike bar. Deal?

Simple: NO
Replaced 3 phones in 3 months, just cuz I was never happy with my all 3 android devices, finally got DZ launched here in canada and I was craviing for it, purchased my DZ over a month ago, loving it so much that I can't even think of letting this phone go in my wildest dream...
Straight no to any other trades, even if u get a lot in return... this is the phone u will regret letting go...

Than try Desire HD, HD7, Evo Shift, Thunderbolt or something similar, but not outdated phones like HD2 ;-) And Samsung is not a choice at all IMO. Low quality, cheap plastic, disposable toys. They could'nt even make their own design and copy-cat'ed an iPhone.

If you like trying new phones, the HD2 doesn't qualify. Its a very old phone. 14 month old hardware may as well be 10 years in the smartphone business.
And a Android port is never going to run as well as a phone that is designed to run Android natively. So don't think that you will really have an Android phone on your hands if you buy an HD2 and flash an Android port. Old hardware that runs a very outdated OS, that also has the ability to run an Android port = not worth it.
I'm actually getting an HD2 to run Android and ditching my G2. It has the same hardware as my N1, which is running wonderfully and is a year old now, so I am not worried. I want the big screen, dual LED flash, and the Desire HD ROM. I've been waiting for T-Mo to announce a 4.3" HTC phone but who knows if it'll even happen at MWC so I am using the HD2 to hold me over until one ever comes to T-Mo.
just thought i'd let you guys know, i got the hd2 and am now running CM7 on NAND. its amazing. i love it
I had the hd2 before i got my z and it is a good phone with good support on xda. I just couldnt get used to its size. The z just "feels" better.

I would go for Desire HD. Materials and general quality. (Galaxy is plastics)
But it depends in your needs and likes, and price. Sure other people will write big explanations.
Nice upgrade anyway!

The Galaxy S was the first smartphone I bought and it's a great phone. Swype is one of THE best apps I've ever used and I dearly wish it was available on the Wildfire as typing this reply with a bog-standard keyboard is a major PITA.
I principally bought the Galaxy S because it was the biggest screen on the market at the time and watching videos on a small screen blows. Of course, there are now phones with bigger screens, so I've upgraded to the Nexus S. Another key factor in my upgrade decision was that Samsung took a long time to upgrade the Galaxy S from Eclair to Froyo and I didn't want to wait for them to upgrade it to Gingerbread so I bought the Nexus S. AFAIK, to date Samsung have no plans to upgrade the Galaxy S to Gingerbread.
So I suggest you factor this in to your purchase decision and try and really focus on what you're looking for in a smartphone.
I've also just discovered the world of custom ROMs so now I find I'm going to sell my Galaxy S (and possibly my Nexus S - while the secondhand prices are still high) as I'm enjoying my (small and thin) Wildfire + custom ROMs so much that I hardly ever use the other two phones.
So my advice to you is to seriously think about what it really is you like about the hardware. As the software you can change.

REally?!?! You have Galaxy S, Nexus S, but you prefer Wildfire?? I have too much envy right now!!! But it's a little strange, isn't it? I mean they are fantastic phones and Wildfire is great, but no so powerful!
Yes, it surprises me as well that I find the Wildfire to be more to my liking. I guess I just like its size compared to the others. Each to his own, but it has been an expensive exercise for me to find out what I really like.

Go for Milestone 2 or Just the normal Desire.
i got a samsung galaxy s for my gf. its a really nice phone, but she did experience an issue with the battery. it would hardly last 14 hrs. (with GPS, background data disabled, only 2G mode and abt an hour wi-fi use)
Not to worryed about battery as I usally have ne phone either plugged into my pc or on charge whilst im on my motobike so not to fussed about battery life

[Q] Nexus One or Desire HD?

Hello everybody,
I'm an happy N1 owner since february 2011. I tried a lot of custom ROMs and now I'm using the last MIUI.
I just bought (I'll got in my hand in few days) a new Desire HD for 299 euro (the price was too good), but I'm still unsure whether to sell my N1 and keep the new DHD or resell the DHD and keep my loved N1.
I don't really care too much about Sense UI, but battery life is really important, as is speed, display and "longevity"
I'll post the same question in the Desire HD forum... so I'll get a more complete opinion.
Thank you all
seriously?
WARNING - DO *NOT* POST QUESTIONS IN THIS FORUM - only tips/info/etc.
yes, seriously!!!
Anyway... I decided to keep my Nexus one.
The Desire HD is huge... it doesn't fit good in my hand... I don't have the right feeling ;-)
Thank you anyway

Good choice...hard to beat the form-fit-feel factors of the Nexus One!
The DHD is newer and has upgraded specs including the 2nd Gen Snapdragon, but I would return it and keep the N1...Why? Since HTC or whoever will most likely have better Dual-Core or Quad-Core(Late 2011/Early 2012?) so wait for that instead. DHD got outdated quickly, if that's important(Sensation/SGII).
N1 of course ) or sensation )

Goodbye DHD, Hello Sensation. (My DHD Experience)

Last night I went to the Australian launch party of the Sensation and entered a competition to win one, and today HTC messaged me and told me I won, so I won't be on the DHD section for much longer.
I've had my DHD for since it was released in the UK (roughly 7 months) and it has been the best mobile phone I have ever had.
The battery life wasn't the best to start with, but improved over time. (it can last for days, even when I'm constantly using WiFi, 3G or listening to music)
The Camera was always what I expected from a phone, and although lots of people criticized it, I thought the overall design of the phone was great. (i got used to the weight and size fairly quickly)
I know that the upgrade to a Ssensation isn't a big step, but like many people on here I always love to have the latest and greatest tech.
I'd definitely suggest the DHD to someone looking for a great Android phone with a big screen and enough features to keep you entertained.

Happy to hear you are the winner. With dual core technology, and a 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor you will not know what hit you
Congratulations for winning the competition and received the brand new Sensation. Damn you're so lucky. Anyway, its kinda bit sad for losing a dhd comrade but I'm happy for you and your new phone.
I bid you farewell my friend. :')

Sensation is definitely an upgrade. and after all its the reliable HTC.!
So jealous, both of the winning, and the upgrade. The DHD is quite possibly the best phone i've ever had, its done all i want, and sometimes more without asking

You are very lucky dude.Having a DHD and winning a Sensation is...I don't know, too much!
First off, good for you.Secondly,I don't know if there is actually something that will completely replace my DHD.I bought a Galaxy S II,but a day doesn't go by that I don't use or flash something to my DHD.As for people criticizing it,the only thing I can complain about is the camera in low light. With enough light shots were just amazing. And while others criticized the size and the weight, that's what I loved about it first.I like knowing that my phone is in my pocket and hell, the DHD did give me that.As for size?Meh,I don't actually mind.I can get a bigger one with these sausage-like fingers of mine.
Well that's the way we all will go...newer phones.
I don't see these +4" screens and +1GHz CPU's droids as mobile phones, but as
pocket computers that have the feature "phone calls".
Whish you more Good luck in the future.
Congrats bro jelous!
