I startet this Thread because i could not reply to the thread of DZO.
I will only say that this ROM - Version 5.0 update 4, which is not more available in the posting, is working well.
I have no more reboots.

i am using the same rom and i had two reboots. the first one, when i closed the bluetooth (also it finds devices but not connected) and the second when my phone was charged and next i tried to close wifi. Otherwise, his rom is excellent!!!!!!!
Both Version 5.0 update 4 and update 5 cant use camera (can not connect to camera error). Is it same on your phones?

Wi-fi stops working, I tried to turn off .. freeze and restart the phone

Hi, i have no more problems with reboots or with other functions, but if i am using bluetooth my battery drains very very fast.
Can somebody try the bluetooth function.

Now i updatet it to 9. But the bluetooth pairing is now without function. I testet the rom from paul milbank then bluetooth pairing is ok but now i can not activate wifi.

Are you using NOOP? If not, try change it to it.

First I'm from Germany an my written English is a little rusty, so excuse me for some strange grammar...
Ich have a question about GPS and CM10 0.9.2.
My Thinkpad Tablet is a European Version with UMTS. The GPS works quite well with th stock rom 4.03. GPS fix in about 1 minutes. Not so bad. With CM10 installed I doesn't get a fix even after 10 minutes. Is it possible that the GPS module is configured to the wrong antenna input? I read somewhere that the GPS uses the UMTS antenna (external input mux setting?) in the 3G model and not the internal GPS one. There mus be a reason why the CM10 GPS is really unusual, but the stock ROM is quite ok. I tested thin behaviour several times switching between stock rom an CM10 - this is reproducible.

No one any idea? For the GPS Antenna there is a entry in the settings menu, but only "internal" selectable. Maybe switching to "external" solves the GPS problem for the 3G version of the TPT.

Can't you just copy the settings?
Cwm often reuses the proprietary drivers. So the settings from stock rom might also run on cwm.
Also:

I tried to copy /etc/gps.conf from the stock rom already, but the receive strength is as poor as formerly. I'll check to copy the xml-file too. In /data/gps I've only a 0-Byte file.

It's now working!
The stock rom doesn't store anything except glgpsctrl (the control pipe, not a file) under /data/gps, don't ask me why.
Under CM10 I had the file gldata.sto, so I deleted everything under /data/gps and installed a modified gpsconfig.xml file from a German Forum in /etc/gps:

Now the GPS get a fix between 10s and 60s this seem almost faster than with the stock rom

I just tried this myself... awesome! Since the GPS is notoriously bad from what I've read I just accepted that it sucked. Not anymore

For me google maps works fine too, doesn't crash. I've installed the current version from play store.
Hello xda citizens,
I hope you all are doing well.
I have a problem regarding those 2 apps ( crazy data usage + battery drain) after updating to Kitkat. I managed to fix Unified daemon when searching in another thread. I just cleared the app data and rebooted the device then it stopped eating data. The problem is the "Android core apps" app which I can not find in the applications manager and don't even know what it is. Can you please help?
Another problem is that the device randomly stops detecting my SIM card while I am on official Kitkat (updated through Windows Kies) .

he is saying that his neo camera is sometimes just stopping, blank, camera failed and it cant get it work without a phone restart....the same thing is happening to me, camera works for a few days and then just i cant turn it on, it says camera failed and i need to restart it to get it back up, then it works fine.....whipeing the catche doesnt work, i have none other app in conflict, downloaded from play store

I have the same problem, I'm using Trinidad and Tobago firmware KitKat 4.4.4 , Galaxy S3 Neo GT I9300I. I will try to flash another firmware from another region to see if it's better???

i can't post link but firmware from July work great.. problem solved!!!
im useing that firmware I9301IXXUANF4_I9301IOXXANF2_SEE ...on the phone info it says that is from 25 june but i think that that is what it says july....aaand its happening again, just less, about 10 days it didnt happend and yesterday it did...here is logcat file...
and how firmware from november works? camera good?

I think Viber makes camera crash. I've removed Viber and there is no more problems with black camera screen.

i have the same problem with my samsung s3 neo
my camera is working before until I flashed it with some random ROM region
now I can't use my camera. I don't know what to do, should I download another region of rom and reflash it instead?
because I'm still hoping that it can fix it.
for sure its not a hardware defect.

Check this thread made by me. That's how I solved my camera problems
I have stock ROM and stock kernel . When i tried bcmon for my mobile it doesn't work.Every time i open the app it asks if it installs firmware and tools and i click yes then it force close after about 5 seconds. in the app thread i found it crashes when the wifi chipset is not supported (supported ones are bcm4329 and bcm4330 and i think sgy is supported as it has bcm4330 wifi chipset so i don't know why it is crashing i searched the hall thread for something about sgy and i didn't find anything i also searched issues in their google code page and didn't find anything that helps.
where is the problem? Does some kernels or ROMs only support bcmon and monitor mode? How can i get it work?

but why? it has a 4330 wifi chipest so it should support monitor mode according to bcmon and reaver apps devolopers.
is it a specific thing that is absent in the mobile hardware?
or is it about the kernel or the ROM?
