Thanks. I will check it out.

Solution found guys. There is an app on Market called "Folder Organiser Lite". Got everything customized through that app. Hope this helps those that were in my shoes.

I believe it only change shortcut icons, every icons in app drawer still the same.

You create "Labels" which equate to folders and then add apps to that label/Folder and assign an icon to that label/folder. Worked for me.

Change icons?

I seen some screen shots from other evo users and noticed some have different icons. Where do i get different icons and how do i apply them?
I am new to android and changed my icons using folder organizer lite, which is free.
Probably some of the pros have better ways, but it's fairly easy.
is that an android app? Hmm ill have to check that out.
icon change
download the icon pack from the market of your choice then use folder organizer (from market) to change it under the apps tab then all you have to do is go on and add it as a widget under the folder organizer item widget

Better Cut and Any Cut don't work anymore with the newest EVO update.

It can only be done with a homescreen replacement like launcherPro or ADW Launcher. Under the Preferences for them, find an option for hiding the icon labels.

How to re-arange apps (icons)

Hi is there a way to rearrange the app icons, I dont really care in what order but when you delete an app it leaves a space where the app used to be which looks weird.
Menu-button -> edit while in the drawer. Works just the way it does on the iphone from there on.

Thanks now I can drag them around but this still isnt that great if you have 7 or 8 pages each with a missing app in them takes a bit of fannying about to get thinks in order. isn't there an auto arrange or sorte by date/name etc?
still if not at least i can get things looking better so thank you.
It is strange how you can manually arrange the icons but there is no way to auto-arrange. Why not have some basic auto-arrange by alphabet name?
Is there a way to like arrange these by catagorie without having to arrange them yourself

[APPMOD REQ] Twitter Client fully transparent back

hi..
does anybody have the twitter client with full transparent backgrund, not the one with transparent black?
thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!
Iam search too, facebook and twiter widget with trasparent...
You guys ought to check this out.
Hope it helps
If flashing the .zip doesn't work for you, I recommend reading up a little bit on ADB.
That way you can pull the desired applications from the phone and push the new ones.
If you have got launcher pro plus, there is an complete mod of lpp where you can install a modded version which has all widgets transparent with white or black text.
I will grab the link when i am home.
Otherwise search the htc hero section in themes and apps....
edit
here you go.as promissed the link

Haha, that's cool
I haven't found any official Twitter app/widget that's transparent.
If signals23 mod doesn't do it for you, you'll have to make it yourself.
i mean this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745854 without the black in back.
simply transparent.
if i could do it myself, i 've did that already...believe me.
Let him search zhl3r lol

ahhh go home, u don't understand me....thread can be closed in my opinion.
i understand you
you want an complete transparent twitter widget
there is no such right now
why dont use try the moddet launcher pro?
every lpp widget is transparent
bookmarks,people, twitter, facebook etc.
just have a look
You CAN do it yourself
All it takes is a little push.
The only thing stopping you is your own lazyness. I've made a transparent Facebook widget,
Twitter can't be much harder.
[ USE ADB ]
- Pull the Twitter application from your phone
- Copy the .apk to a new folder and rename it to .zip
- Open the .zip and drag the folder named RES to your new folder
Now you can see all the images that make up the widget
- Edit the images you want to edit
- Save the res folder, overwrite the old one.
- Rename the .zip to .apk
- Push back to your phone
TIP: When editing images, create a new folder and name it whatever.
Save all your images there with the names you want to replace.
Voila, there you've done it.
That wasn't to hard!
If you need help concerning ADB you should check out the ADB guides.
Best of luck and remember, people won't always create what you want.
So it's better to just do it yourself!
do you edit with photoshop?
or is there something easier?hehe..

I edit with Photoshop.
I'm sure you can use Paint or whatever, but Photoshop is a great tool.
It doesn't have to be as complicated as you'd think.
Lets say I want to edit the black-apps transparent:
- Check the size of the black background, EXAMPLE: 480x50
- Create a new document in Photoshop with TRANSPARENT LAYER
And since I want it transparent, the work is already done! So all I need to do
is save the file. I failed about 30 times when creating my first widget -
but it gets really fun to edit them, then seeing what they look like on the phone.
i tried it myself

You could use desktop visualizer to kind of create icons, where you can choose the icon for application and so on...just take a look at it

Interesting, i have checked it out, going to play with it later (The app!) Then report back.Looks good though, cheers mate
This feature really should be included in sense, very time consuming having to use the app just to remove the text from under the icon.

Yup, using an alternate launcher in my opinion is the easiest way. There are plenty of themes available, and you can also change individual app icons very easily. I use Go Launcher Ex. It has some really cool transition animations.

I totally agree, HTC, must realise that ALOT of their customers want to tweek Sense more than they currently allow, so they eventually turn to other launchers.
Causing negative feelings towards Sense... as stable as it is!
I also prefer Go Launcher Ex for this, because not only does it allow Icons to be easily changed, but also renaming of apps.
I hate to see names cut off on the homescreen so I change them - for example
Tune In Radio is cut to Tune In... - so I change it to 'Radio'
One solution could be with Folder Organizer App. In Folder Organizer create a shortcut of app you want and simply change the icon. Afther that go to home, add, shortcut, Folder Organizer Item, shortcuts and select the one you created.

Change app icons not changed by samsung (icon) themes

Hello,
I wanted to ask how to change icons on home screen of apps that dont get changed by official samsung store themes without using another launcher. Id need to save the icons first, and then replace them by edited versions. Kind of creating my own icon set. Is this even possible? Do I have to root my device this for?
Thanks in advance for every help.

If you want to replace the default icons for each individual app you can't as the icons image file is stored in the .apk file and replacing them is not worth it......if you want to create an icon pack you will need a 3rd party launcher for using it or you can create a theme that works on Samsung store.....at least that's my understanding.....
