[Q] Vibration Notifications in shubCRAFT? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey so I've been using shubCRAFT for a while and no matter which build I'm using, the vibration notifications while the phone is locked do not work. Which means I have to leave the sound on all the time and that's kind of a pain. I've already tried getting an answer out of the thread itself but no one replies to my question so I was hoping someone here would be able to help me out.

do you have vibrate set to always? that might be the problem.

I only have vibration on while the phone is on silent mode.

Vibration on my MDA isn't workin :(

Hello all... Ok, as I stated in the subject of this thread, my vibration isn't working on my MDA. I don't know what is going on. I've tried ticking all the checkboxes that say vibrate... moved the slider down to vibrate only... etc.. I don't know exactly how to troubleshoot it properly as I don't really know the full capabilities of this phone. But as far as I know, if you put the phone on vibrate, it should vibrate when someone calls right? Not the case with my phone.
Please could someone help me figure out what is going on... maybe it's a hardware issue that is unfixable... but maybe, just maybe.... it's some sort of registry thing where I can get it to vibrate... I don't like missing calls due to my ringtone being drowned out by street noise (thank God for voicemail and call history)... Thank you again, hope someone has a solution for me
I had the same problem happen to my 8125. The phone would vibrate when I held the comm button to change it from ringer to vibrate. But, when I recieved a phone call or text message, the phone would not vibrate. I knew the vibrate was working because it did vibrate when I changed the ringer. I had to do a hard reset to fix the problem though, so that may be your only solution.
Same here. Can anyone tell me which part or component on the O2 XDA II mini is responsible for viration?
Soft vibrate
In my case, the vibrate is working, but it's lost all it's power....feels like the motor is giving up. Is this normal? Does a vibrate motor on a phone have such a limited lifespan?
If it's used a lot then it's feasible for such a tiny vibrate component to burn out after a while maybe after a year or more.

[REQ] In vibrate mode, calls don't vibrate

Hello everyone,
A small request on my HD2.
I adjusted my settings to vibrate + ring tone, what works.
By cons, when I put my phone on vibrate mode and I receive a call, my phone got a call in silent mode, but does not vibrate. Which means that I often miss my calls.
I wonder if someone has encountered this problem?
Perhaps manipulation in the registry?
In advance thank you,
Franky
My phone has completely stopped vibrating. It just makes a click once in a while when it should vibrate. TMO is sending me a new one.
Now this is not a coincidence!
Just as I read the title my phone - well, does nothing, but shows me someone is calling. It is in vibrating mode but it does not vibrate!
So, yes, I also have this problem!

CM7 Sound profiles

Can someone help me.
I'm trying to use the CM7 sound profiles, One for work, and one for night.
I'm trying to keep the Work profile all silent, with the screen lighting up for SMS, and lighting up and vibrating for calls.
I'm trying to keep the night profile all silent but with only calls ringing.
However, when I test the work one the ringtone for the phone plays back at full volume (even though I have the volume for phone and ringtone both set all the way down to 0.)
Any suggestions or pointers on how to get this to work properly? I'm sure I'm just screwing up something that's incredibly simple to use.
thanks in advance for any and all help.
Profile doesn't work
You should change "on" to "No override" in profile/phone/ring mode.
Thanks!
I've since abandoned this, but now I'll give it a shot again!
for whatever reason I never thought of using 'no override' because I thought it would just take on whatever commune level I had currently.
I'll give it another go. Thanks again

New Note3: annoyed by vibration behavior. Help?

Just got a brand new Note3. Loving it save for the way it handles notifications with vibration mode.
It seems to default to the long "Basic Call" vibrate tone no matter what I configure in the settings. I find this tone to be quite harsh if I'm lying in bed, for example, and get a message. This is true for both SMS and gmail, so far. Further, I tried disabling vibrate notifications in some apps and they persist regardless and always with the same long vibrate tone.
Is this a known issue that others are experiencing? If not, do you have any ideas how I can properly configure vibrate mode to work properly?
Thanks.
