I downloaded gesture search thinking it could be cool. It's not that great but this double flip idea is awesome. Any way to get an app that has programmable gestures? Like Apple's mouse gestures? I love those and can't help to think it would be awesome to tip my phone certain ways to open programs or answer a call or who knows.
Well upon trying this out a bit it hardly ever works so maybe this is just not feasible? Someone on here has got to have some idea if this could be done. Anyone want to give it a shot?

im not exactly sure where to post this but i figured this would be as good of a spot as any.
so i current have a treo 700wx and am pretty happy with it.
i was just curious however, on the today screen, is there anyone that can design a hack of some sort to be able to allow for a scrolling picture speed dial? currently it allows about 5 pictures to be viewable at one time, then you gotta scroll with the stylus (or fatty fingers like myself) to look for more.
i have lots of ideas but just dont know where to begin on this. i know it would be a great feature if it was possible?

There seem to be so many great developers around here. Do any of you guys (and girls) have an app ready to keep vueFLO working all the time (or maybe whenever a certain button is pressed)? I like that feature to scroll lists and ebooks. Thanks for your hint if you know such a piece of software and thanks even more to the one of you could create it.

I'm running Cm6.1 stable and very rarely use the hard search button. Is it possible to map it to open the camera app?
Basically I want to press search and open camera, then press search again and take a photo.
Is this even possible? If so, could someone point me in the right direction.

Yep here's a guide it's for the sprint hero but it will essentially be the same thing. Really easy to do. If you want to wake the phone though you'll have to mess around with the ramdisk
That seems quite difficult, so it has to be done through windows?

I have a Nexus 1, on which I've used Gesture Search for over a year. I love it and, as my new Xoom's an Android device, I have tried to find Gesture Search in the market but I am either missing something really obvious or it's not there.
Any suggestions? I did, by the way, search for this before posting...

It's definitely not there, I've looked too.
I've also used it for ages with my HTC Desire and find it very useful. I constantly find myself wanting to use it when I'm on my xoom.
There's obviously some compatibility issues with honeycomb. But does anyone know any more?
Is it in development?
Or is there an alternative that will work on honeycomb?

I just thought of an idea that maybe someone could make a keyboard with dual swipe. Keymonk was good at it but the guy abandoned the project and now there's a spot in the market for a keyboard that can do it with proper prediction.

what do you mean by "double swipe" ? do you want to use 2 fingers ?
Yeah that's exactly what i mean. There's an app called keymonk that does it right now, but doesn't have development going on anymore.
