How do I record video? - Vibrant General

Do I need an app from the market to record video? Or is there an app on the vibrant that already records video?

In the camera slick the icon that looks like the video camera. It will switch to the video mode.

Ahh.. should have known. Thanks

There is a reason why people are hired to make Owners Manuals.

For being your first review..not bad, not bad. What really surprised me is the Justin Bieber video in your channel
But to each his own I guess
Keep it up Alan and remember...una manzana al dia da salud y energia (An apple a day gives health and energy)
Thanks!

Zooming

I haven't seen anything about this yet, check it out:
You can zoom when taking a picture using pinch to zoom, but also during a video recording! I've never seen that on an Android phone thus far. Maybe I've just missed it?
So cool..I had no idea
I have seen this before. Can't remember where, I don't see real function for this anyway. I prefer to use pinch to zoom
That zoom function is already on the SGS.

nice spider, are you from Brazil too?
it's ur camera skills,
it's spot focus on the video recorder and you keep aiming at the table, thus focussing on the table. stay steady and keep your subject (spider) in the center of the screen when recording.

I was testing my camera too!
Very slow autofocus but still very very good quality

Found a new fantastic app'.

I've just found a fantastic new app' that works brilliantly on the Note.
It's called 'Screencast Video Recorder' and basically it makes a video of your Android screen as you use the phone. So you can set it to record and then navigate through menus or applications, games etc and it records it all as an MP4 video. Really useful for those wanting to do demos of their system or showing off their prowess in games.
And the good news is that it's now just 99p on the Marketplace.
I've no connection whatsoever to the app', the developer etc but just thought it was a fantastic and very clever app' worth sharing with fellow Note owners.
Enjoy.

That's an excellent tip may check it out!
Yes, as said above, it records a MP4 video, (not just a screenshot!). Of course I know we can screenshot already. I'm not a chump! ;-)

I bought this app a few days ago for about £3
The app is excellent though and the audio is crystal clear using the Note.
Does anyone know what would be the ideal settings to use on our Note's as when I use it, the phone does tend to get very hot.
I have attached a screen shot of the results of the benchmark using the app :
Just a quick note, you need root for Screencast Video Recorder to work
Hasc - I get a benchmark of 86400. I've managed to up the framerate to 30 fps without any issues.
p.s. Don't forget the 'Thanks' button if you like the recommendation. ;-)

I wish it didn't require a rooted system. I'm not quite ready to root my phone.

You can use it to do reviews of apps
You can reproduce errors that you may encounter with your device
You can help other users by demonstrating functions or steps to do something on device
You can show others how to get 3 stars in angry birds
The above are just a few suggestions, please use your imagination.
I got it, thanks!! Cool.
Anyone else think of anything?, ;-)

Great video. While I have no interest in the camera it does look pretty promising as a camera and I am sure the devs here can have some fun with this for sure.

Very interested in seeing your video as you seem to be a fan of this camera just like I am
What would really be awesome is if this camera had some form of RAW support.
