Stange Flash Bug - neoTouch S200 General

Since my device is back from Acer support im not able to Flash Customs roms anymore except Brainmasters cleanrom 1.0
Arto's or other ROMs update successfully but if you try to turn on the smartphone it just vibrates screen goes on and off.... then if u remove the battery, put it back in turn it on again, the smartphone is stuck at Acer bootscreen. luckily im able to set it into bootmode. i can repeat the flash as often as i want, only brainmasters cleanrom will work, 1.3 wont 0.o
What can this be ?

ello!
I think it might be because of you corrupted memory card i had an incident like this before but after formating my mem. card it worked fine

well the memory card wasnt inserted during flash process nor was it when i tried to boot the phone

I need help, stuck at unlocker and nothing works

Ok, I unlocked my phone the first time and it worked fine, from there I installed a new rom and everything was working fine. Decided I wanted to try something else so I unlocked again, but this time no roms work whatsoever, im just stuck at the screen with three colors. When I try to install a rom it gives me the progress bar but it stays at 0% until it gives me the 262 error. From there I recover back to the 3 color stage but no rom will get me past the 262 error.
Any help guys would be greatly appreciated.
are you running vista? if so i had the same problem. i had to install xp on a virtual machine to get anything to work :/ you could also try a trick... take out your micro sd and put it in a card reader, format it to FAT32, copy the ROM you want onto the blank card. rename the file to "VOGUIMG.NBH". then press the power, camera, and reset button at the same time. It should reboot and automatically flash your new rom.

[Q] stuck on NRG boot screen and cycling

stock tmous hd2
flashed .12 radio rom
formatted sd card
installed energy 21683 sense 2.5 cookie (not the 2.0 version)
ran fine.
copied mdeejay v2.3 evosense revolution as follows to root on SD card
- android\(lots of files
- data_512\img
- data_1024\img
inserted sd card, powered up, file commander, ran clrcad.exe, then haret.exe
got to htc boot screen. took what felt like longer than it should. pulled the battery (doh!)
reinserted battery and phone was unresponsive.
tried to do hard reset, nothing
plug in usb cable and now phone boots to NRG boot screen shows R,G,D text at bottom, shuts down and then restarts the cycle. It never moves past boot screen and keeps cycling.
W/ usb cable plugged in I was able to do hard reset. didn't help.
W/ usb cable plugged in I was able to get to boot loader screen, ran NRG installer.exe and reinstalled NRG. (installer seemed to think everything went fine) still didn't help.
So my phone is now stuck, won't power on w/o usb cable and when I plug in usb cable, it cycles between boot screen and off.

Have you tried taking out your SD-card, then doing a hard reset?
Have you tried backing up the things you created (don't worry about things that other programs like Android created) on your SD-card, then reformatting it? Then restoring the stuff you backed up, and re-doing the Android install?
thanks for response.
hard reset w/ sd card in and out. no difference.
formatted sd card.
can reinstall android files on it but seems pointless since i can't get to winmo to run them. can't get past winmo boot screen.
thinking i should try going to bootloader screen then reflash stock tmous rom? if that works can always come back the other way? thoughts?

You could run a Task29 -- a utility that clears your ROM and flashes a "blank" ROM. This is one of the remedies for unusual behavior. After Task29, reflash your custom ROM.
Otherwise, yes, you could try reflashing a stock ROM. If that still fails, then I would call this a brick/"hardware issue".
Good luck!
yep. it's bricked. unless anyone else has better idea.
task29 back to NRG didn't work
flash to stock rom downloaded from Tmo website didn't work either. (now it dies at the tmo pink stick together screen just after showing the R,G,B text. and begins the cycle.)
this is so sad. I need to figure out what i did otherwise not likely to pick up another hd2. figured it was cheaper way to get decent hardware (save 100$ or more right now on craigslist over galaxyS.) and have option to play w/ winphone7.
does android normally take a long time to boot on first try? if i wasn't after the apps and google integration, i might have been happy w/ nrg rom. it looked sharp and seemed to run quick for the little time i played w/ it.
sucks i gave my wife my galaxy s (w/o a dataplan on her line) so she could have nice phone for texting/pics/vid/facebook etc while at home through wifi. now i've got to renig on that gift or get her to trust me w/ another phone!!!
just sucks all the way around. darnit!

Here's another idea (this actually happened to someone before):
Look at the battery contacts (the pins) shooting out of the phone when the battery is not inserted. Are they bent in any way? If they are, bend them gently back into place so that they are completely straight. The pins are delicate, and since you took off your battery, there's a possibility you accidentally bent them. This would lead to random shut-downs/resets.
It might be crazy enough to be the problem you have...
But you know, you could get the HD2 replaced for free, as long as you are under T-Mo's 1-yr warranty -- claim a hardware defect that couldn't be solved by the upgrade ROM. At least it's free!
Hallellujah!!! Stupid pins on the battery!!!!! THIS SHOULD BE a footnote for the newbies in the flashing sticky!
Thanks for the awesome advice!!!! I'm so glad that was the problem.

hi MATE,
The main problem is in Android folder
i'd suggest you to get the Build that asks you to copy n paste all files of Android folder to ur SD Root, that way u'll have all files on ur sd card.
2nd now wen ever you want to boot ur android of WWE all you got to do is DELETE ANDROID folder thats located on ur SD card, I had same issue as you because i test roms and i love messing with them.
3rd: You dont need to hard reset or soft reset if you needed to reboot ur Android (once its running) all you need is hold Power off button u'll get the reboot option as u select the reboot it will show you few rebot options there you gotta choose HOT Reboot that will restart the ANDROID only and that way you u can save ur self from going thur long painful process and yet stay in android os.
PS: i am currently testing the build that asks where i have all file inside ANDROID files and image @ my SD Root, i have same issue with this one but lets see if we could figure out the real culprit.
Hope this help, Feel free to share your experiences

The OP's problem was that he took out his battery while Android was loading, and when he put back the battery, his phone could not boot into WM.
I guess my last thought was correct -- the battery pins were accidentally bent while the OP took out the battery.

[Q] Help on fixing hd2 that wont boot up

Hey guys I have a hd2 that wont boot up anymore. I have installed several windows 6.5 cooked roms into this device for a while now. Recently this device has been given me a lot of problems until finally it took a dump. Now everytime i power up the device it stays in the splash screen. It doesnt even show radio version, rom version, etc on the bottom left of the screen. So is this hd2 dead or is there some way that i can fix it. I even tried installing tmobile's official rom on this device by going into the "rainbow screen" so that the device can be seen by using the usb cable, but alas....it didnt work either. So any help would be appreciated .
If it doesn't install, and nothing installs, then you need to take it to repair I guess.
I had a feeling about that. I just figured there was no way to fix it and the fact that i couldnt send it back to tmobile to get a replacement was out of the question since the firmware was modified. But your saying there are shops that fix these kinds of issues? If so, I better start looking around over here.

why dont you try sd card method for flashing your rom !1! you can pm me if you need further help
Do you mean that it can't get to the boot loader screen (rainbow) or that trying to install a ROM from there didn't work? You might want to flash the original HSPL too, just to check.
What I mean is that everytime I boot up the hd2 it stays stuck on the splash screen. It doesn't even show the rom information in red at the bottom left corner of the screen. But I can boot to the tri color menu though. I have tried to install the tmous official rom by plugging the USB when I'm in the tri color menu and it always stays stuck at 9%. So is there way to fix this or am I screwed.

Try the sd-card recovery instead of the USB one.
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/01/01/how-to-upgrade-htc-hd2-rom-through-sd-card-video/
After that, even if it fails, it shows only SPL in the tri-color screen then you are set to claim warranty.

Well my bro... i think thats nand problems or heating issues ... does flashing rom goes all ok or it stops during flashing ? if stops than check if you phone is hot - hotter than normal.
Try this : Take out battery, memory card, sim card and put you phone in the fridge for about 5-10 min ( dont worry tried many times... no harm ) meanwhile prepare your sd card to flash rom with sd card method ... to do that extract Ruu rom - stock one - download with hd2 serial nr ( winrar, 7zip etc) find Ruu_Signed.nbh rename it to LEOIMG.nbh than copy to sd card ( format you sd card fat32 and make sure it works ... 2gb will work ) take phone out from fridge put sd card & battery into phone power one phone while holding volume down key ( go into tricolor screen - bootloader) and follow procedure in phone... i hope everything goes well and you fix you phone... but if still no success than flash android or wp7 ( if you have warranty flash stock SPL and return phone).
best regards from me

i can't turn on my hd2

For several days I get tired of uploading windows 7 on your phone hd2. The first time everything went smoothly, but broken marketplace forced me to install another rom ... and after that began to complications. Reinstalling WP7 ran smoothly, unfortunately after the restart, the phone hung up on the screen where you had to enter the PIN code, the screen does not respond to touch. After reset, the message began to appear that the memory card does not work and could not turn on the system. Again I tried to upload the new rom, but unfortunately it did not help ... Later I was able to upload back android nand and somehow everything worked. Today I made another attempt to install WP7, unfortunately, only worsened his situation, which is as follows:
The phone will not even turn on, just as I plug it into usb. MAGLDR loads seamlessly, this 4-color screen as well. Unfortunately, the system loads until the htc logo appears and some animation, after that the phone automatically resets and so on.
Check and make sure you do not have a bent battery pin as a bent battery pin has been known to cause the HD2 to boot loop like you are describing.
If you do not have a bent battery pin, then I suggest you run a Task 29 and then re install MAGLDR then reflash your WP7 ROM. Also it might help if you do a total reformat of your SD card then try to boot your device with a freshly formated SD card. I know I know WP7 formats your card anyway on first boot but hey it could help. If you still have troubles after that I suggest you get a new SD card and try that. You see if your SD card does not work WP7 will not boot cause it uses the SD card as the internal memory for the device.
I don't know how, but now everything is working! I didn't do enything! Just plug usb cable, and system was loaded! I disconnect cable and it still working?!

Just thinking it could be a bad battery, but more info would be helpful.
Or check if battery pin is bent
Sent from my HTC HD2 with WP7.5/android miui using tapatalk
battery and pins are fine... th sd card was working before but now the phone seems to have been condemed.. any information you would need just feel free to ask, i dont really know what to tell you guys since i dont know whats wrong with it
I managed to get to the rgb screen.. I'm guessing hspl is installed, because it says hspl on the screen lol.. Any suggestions on what I should do from here?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
that happened to my phone once. i thought my battery was fried or something, but it turned out that my pins were bent. works fine now.
if you can get to the RGB screen, your phone is still safe i believe. Try getting a compatible SD card and then try and flash another WP7 rom. Also make sure your HSPL is 2.08. Anything otherwise, won't boot also.
HSPL must be 2.08.... if any other version, WP7 wont boot... but most of problems in sdcard compatible
task 29, and reinstall hspl , than magdlr. also make sure of bad blocks.
okay, at first i tried an ruu that i got directly from tmo but it would always hang at 8%... then i ran the task 29 file and it went through 100%... im gonna let the battery charge for a little bit since i dont want anything else to go wrong... im going to search on how to install hspl and everything else.. im asuming that i need an sd card for this lol. thanks everyone for the help!
Please Help! After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
Guys I’m having a similar problem. I had “XBmod-Yuki 2.1” loaded yet I was experiencing sporadic reboots.
I decided to re-flash using the SD card advice provided by XDA site. I purchased a new compatible SanDisk 16gb.
While following the XDA instructions to the letter, I completed the “Flash the ROM with DWI” step (w/ SD Removed) and my phone is now on an endless reboot loop. After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
The phone is not bricked because I can still re-flash the TMO stock 3.14. Yet when I try again, after “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
I love Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and I must restore my phone to its glory…
Please help! What do I do to get pass this paralyzing issue???
insert card to phone and turn on with Volume Up + Down + Power together.... when white screen shows, follow instructions on screen...
Please Help! After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
Thanks for the reply DXDY...
I tried what you suggested. The master reboot completed and the phone rebooted into the same endless reboot loop.
My steps have been to:
reflash stock 3.14; allow complete boot up
install magldar113_daf
delete mbr using magldr113
Enable 24MB extra memory in Magldr services
Flash the rom with DWI...
after i flash the rom it reboots in to the endless loop. it never completes a boot up cycle. Right after "123456 GoGoGo" the "tomobile "stick together" logo flashes and the phone reboots; endlessly...
I have tried different roms; exact same behavior...
it has to be something simple because, the phone is not bricked; I can still re-flash the TMO stock 3.14. The stock ROM works perfectly and my SD card (Sandisk 16gb class 4) still works perfectly also...
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated...
only problem then is SDcard.... try boot without sdcard for test.....
Please Help! After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
i have tried reflashing with the SD card in the device and with the SD card removed. Once before i was able to flash the either way (with or without - both ways worked before). Now immediatley after reboot the device enters endless reboot loop...
any help is appriciated...
try with NAND toolkit... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19931919&postcount=501
wipe NAND with Task29, check and install again HSPL 2.08
flash WM6.5
flash MAGLDR
after that flash WP7
dont know which other to advice you...
melcad Please Help! After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endless
what is task29? i understand the other items. i just need clarification on task29...
Task 29 formats the partition drive of your device where the ROM resides.
it's cleaning partition, removing any leftover junks thereby giving a fresh partition for the ROM to operate
Please Help! After “123456 GoGoGo” the screen goes dark and reboots; endlessly.
Wow, that did it! the task29 cleaned up the NAND as you said and allowed me to reflash WP7...
One last question; when updating WP7 using the cab sender method; may I remove the languages that i dont need from the RAR pack???
incompatible sd card....change and try again with another sd card
dont remove the language cabs...preferred to keep them in
