[Q] IMAP prefix HTC mail - Wildfire General

Hello,
The HTC mail app use the following IMAP folders: "sent", "trash" etcetera. My mail server instead uses "INBOX.sent", "INBOX.trash" etcetera. Is there a way to edit this in the phone? I can't change the folders in my mail server, so that's no solution.
I know there are some other applications like K-9 mail but I like to use the HTC mail (including the widget).
I hope someone can help me. I have already contacted the HTC service desk but I have no satisfying respond so far.
Greets,
Faraaz

Sync e-mail accounts

Searched the place but could not find it.
Is there a way to sync all external e-mail accounts setup on the hd2?
There are some send items i really need on my desktop.
You mean send/receive all accounts at once without having to do that one by one?
If so, look for "sendreceiveall" in the "Windows Mobile Development and Hacking" section of XDA, post by Crazy_About_Technology. I'm using it and works like a charm on my HD2.
If not, can you pls be more specific?
Thanks. I've got several e-mail accounts setup in Outlook on my HD2
The only thing avctive sync synchronise is the Outlook e-mail and not my other accounts.
When i'm pulling mail from my mail provider i get a copy of the mail and the original will be delevered @ work (outlook2007). But when i reply a e-mail using my HD2 the sent e-mail box ís only on my HD. I think iphone has a auto tions to send to a copy to your default e-mail. This options could do it for me regarding the backup/sync options for the send items.
You just need to use IMAP for all your accounts, then each device will sync with the server. This means that it will "look like" your HD2 is in sync with your computer.
But what about my home mail. This uses POP and keeps the mail local on the laptop. I don't want all my e-mail standing at the providers server. I think that the online mailbox doen't support so many mail standing there.

Unified email

Unified email
Hey everyone! my friend and i have hd2's but he has 6 email accounts and he was asking me is there a way to make all his emails come into one inbox like on blackberries...i suppose its called "unified email"
ive been using windows mobile for a year now and i cant seem to find a way to "unify" the emails..is there a way for this to be done?
thank you
btw he has the stock tmobile rom,
which would be windows phone 6.5

I don't know of a specific way to do this on WinMo; however, a work around would be to setup a GMail account (or Hotmail, Yahoo, whichever) and configure that to download email from the six accounts.
Once you have done this, you would only need to setup the Gmail (or other) account on your phone and everything should all come down in one place.
Not really a cure, but a solution nonetheless.
Re: Unified Email
I've used Flexmail for this purpose. It can integrate yahoo, gmail, hotmail, and other types of POP mail accounts and send them to you via imap push. With Flexmail, you can set rules for incoming emails so that they automatically sort into folders on your phone. I like it a lot.

Flexmail was excellent when I used it on a Treo Pro. I've installed it on my HD2 and found it was not at all useable without a D-pad. I just couldn't get it to work right.

Gmail does everything you listed as well via pop, imap push, and exchange for free. If you use the exchange setup you can sync your calendar and contacts as well, works great.
Great recommendation by Franwella.
Hi,
I use Gmail for this too, works well.
using Gmail is the right solution. I'm using it and it's a lot confortable.

You just have to create a new account in the mobile mail client for each mail account you want to sync. Currently, I have 4 email accounts in my HTC mail client.
You can find the server information by googling e.g. "gmail mail servers", "yahoo mail servers" etc. and then you just have to activate the send/receive option or let the client do it automatically after a specific time period.

[Q] Having problems sync'ing HTC Mail via IMAP

I've set up my HTC Mail to access my IMAP email, but it doesn't sync up the Sent folder. All outgoing mail goes into 'SENT' instead of 'INBOX:Sent', and even if I manually move them to 'INBOX:Sent' they don't sync with my server.
Anyone have any ideas of how I can overcome this?
(Mods, please move to the correct forum if this ain't it...)
Thanks in advance.
best solution is to not use htc mail and use e.g. k9-mail, it's just better and also it has less battery drain

[Q] HTC Mail IMAP folder deleted message transfer

I am currently using default HTC mail app, and I really like it all in all.
Currently it's set up with two IMAP accounts, each on different server.
I am having issues with one of them.
While my private one works great, the issue that I have with work one is that when I delete msg from Inbox it disappears from everywhere.
So if I check phones Trash folder only msgs from my private one are there, my work ones have disappeared into thin air.
I opened another test account on my work email server and the behavior is the same.
Did any1 have the same issue, or maybe has an idea how to fix this?
I see no place to set up IMAP folders on HTC Mail app.
iPhone had great configuration options when it came to folder organization.
Also, K9 and Improved Mail handle deleting emails off that account with no problem...it shows up in their internal own Trash folder.
I like the look of HTC Mail very much, that's why I don't want to switch...
