Yeah dude, it is illegal to package the google apps in a rom.

I'm flashing the rom right now, I like the blue graphics in the screenshots. I'll report any bugs back that I find, Thanks

my sd card is partitioned, do i need to reformat before i can flash this rom?

Hmm, that sucks! It seems to me that most ROMs that I have used had them cooked in. Kaosfroyo maybe? I don't know, guess I'll get that fixed.

Your card can not have partitions with any Froyo ROM on the Eris.

Theme does look nice, battery icon aside heh...

i have an extra 2 gb sd card. can i format that to fat32 and use it? do i need any other files on my sd card besides the rom?

i believe that with AOSP/CM ROMS the Google apps must be separate.

Yep, just figured that out, I figured they were free so. How does that leave us for other stuff? ADW, spareparts? That sucks, I'm working on getting it fixed and putting together a .zip.

Bout to flash this

Issue 1: In the market app, there is no Tab linking to Verizon Apps. instead, the tab leads to Downloads. Also, in the Downloads section in the Market, when you hit menu, the bottom 2 options remain non-themed.

Some minor parts of the theme are still missing in places, I am working on getting it fully implemented.

flashing....

Should the link to download remain up while the google apps are included? I duno maybe it's no big deal but I thought it may be an issue...
Either way when it's fully themed i'll later try this. Looks good

Yea but somehow I feel that it is not working 100%. But seriously, flash. Its a neat feature that we're missing. Too bad eh?
Well, as I'm already using the Azure rom, I already have the 2 features I wanted most... putting apps on the sd card and the rotation, as already said. Except the rom allows a full 360 degree.
But the apps 2 sd was a big one since the Legend ran out of space after only a few app installs.

[Q] Elite Sense Battery Icon

Just installed Elite Sense V2.6 (unthemed) and its running beautifully. Unfortunately I thought it would include the circular battery icon in the screenshots (Rom thread link)
Should I have installed the themed version or is there a way to update that icon?
TIA!

No, not mine, and it's indeed a great site. And the only thing he needs to do to mod the ROM is take 2-3 files out of it - and decide what mods he likes.

Thats weird, I'm pretty sure that this tab (the 4th) was not there before
been trying to find the "Download" all through yesterday and the day before it with no luck.

As for the differences, I guess that they are the same differences that are between turl1 and JokerSax versions.

Remove Bloatware from Nexus 4

Hi everyone
i know nexus 4 comes with stock rom from google, but there must be things that you recommend removing to keep the beast going at 100% pace.
also, i am a privacy geek and would love to know which of apps i should disable to give as least as possible to google?
at one point i remember a rom that was the stock android but it had all of google's collections bots/apps disabled. Cant seem to think of it

If you want to receive OTA updates then you have to keep all the apps but you can disable them.
I've disabled Google movies and magazines.
If you really want to avoid Google you should install cyanogen mod without the gapps. You won't require a gmail account to use your phone but that means you have to use alternative market places.
There are open source apps for almost everything but I've never used them so can't say. I know there is a open source maps app though but probably doesn't come close to Google apps.

It depends on how you define bloatware. Some see it as being anything preinstalled on the device that isn't absolutely necessary, which means that most of the GApps that come on the N4 are bloatware. Personally I disagree with that definition of bloatware but you can see why people may think that way.
