Anyone selling this phone? - eXpo GW820, GW825 IQ General

Hi!
I'd like to buy LG eXpo (GW820/825), so if someone wants to sell it and is willing to send it waaay to Europe, please let me know.
No screen scratches please (screen protector used from the start), minimum visible usage and a warranty cards or any other proof of purchase for a possible reclamation with the manufacturer and/or AT&T.
Members with some posting history preferred (no one-post-wonder scammers).
Thanks

you could probally find a seller on american ebay that would see you an expo for a pretty good deal.

I know and I monitor eBay. But it I encounter many problems there:
- Seller does not send abroad.
- Seller does not have a warranty card.
- Seller can't provide quality photo of the phone.
- Seller does not communicate.
So I try even this approach

good luck to you. I hope you can get an expo this forum is lonely.

Yeah, but this one is better

i am ready to sell the phone let me know

Sent from my X10a using XDA App

let me know,
btw, im on lg-expo.com too, and few ppl mods r friends of mine! so no worries
let me know if you still looking.
Thx.

Thanks for your offers. I got Acer M900 in the meantime, so for the time being my demand for LG eXpo is not actual. If I find the Acer not suitable for my needs, I'll renew this thread.

Cost of a new screen?

Ok How's this for a first post? Some moron managed to knock my 2 week old wizard off the desk while it was charging at work (so not in its case) and has cause a small chip in the screen (screen still works perfectly - just the outter touch panel is damaged). Since no one is owning up to doing it - and my short-sightedness in not taking out insurance on such an expensive phone, I wondered if anyone had any Idea how much T-Mobile would charge to fix this?
I'm assuming it is too late to take out insurance now, so I'm gonna have to shell out for the repair one way or the other - just wondered how much this will set me back.....
Any ideas? Cheers Guys
Oh and no flaming me please - I feel gutted enough as it is!!
Not worth it!! get a new one...

You're saying to replace the screen will cost more than £300??
Sorry mate I'm not made of money - that is not a viable solution.

Sorry, but it's your only one!
Hi,
Your house hold insurance should cover it. Either that or take out phone insurance and claim in a few months.
Thanks
B
I am not sure about T-Mobile, but o2 let you take insurance out in the first 2 weeks. Look on the web and if you are too late give them a call..... ask them when you will be billed for the insurance as you cant see it on your first bill and you did ask for it when you bought the phone.
Failing that there are may 3rd party companies that will insure phones/pda's/laptops, google for it and give them a call......

I think you have to replace the whole screen anyway?... maybe not. I dunno.

[email protected]! what an unhelpful post! They are available on ebay for around £120, easy to fit, just be careful the part you buy matches the part number of the original screen - some sellers say the magician screen fits, my supplier says it doesn't.
Richard
Thanks for all your help guys - I did try calling T-Mobile about insurance saying that I though I'd selected it when I bought it online, but they wouldn't budge on letting me insure it after 2 weeks and sounded pretty sceptical from the start :?
I contacted HTC directly and they're quoting £94 to replace the screen and for shipping both ways which I guess is fairly reasonable - especially after the great suggestion of buying a new one at £200+
Just thought I'd update you incase anyone else is as unfortunate as I was.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post contact details for HTC on here - so anyone needing to contact them, just PM me.
Thanks again for the suggestions

That's actually very reasonable considering your warranty remains intact as well. Cheapest price online is now about £95 for the screen alone! HTC will only deal with t-mob/orange branded items from experence though.

anyone know where I can get replacement parts 4 my MDA in the US. sorri to hijack the post but I figure since u are already on the topic of replacment parts I would give it a shot.
I cracked my touchscreen as well. If I can get the part, I think I can do the replacement myself. Anyone know where to get one?

XV6800 for sale

I have just switched over to the Storm (which I am loving but missing the flexibility of the 6800) and so I am selling off my old 6800 on Verizon. It is in perfect working order except that the USB sync doesn't work with the computer (or at least not on mine). Would be good for someone who wants a spare or doesn't care about syncing with a computer, or someone who wants to try out ROMS etc on a spare.
Comes with box, accessories and 1gb Sandisk card for flashing.
Make sensible offers please. Email is rosshardy - at - tampabay.rr.com or reply on this thread and I will try to check in on it.
I have a buddy looking for one, I was going to help him find one on ebay but I like to help out members on the board here first. Any indication of price? Does the unit charge just not sync? Any scratches? Had a screen protector on it etc...
Yes it charges fine, just doesn't sync. Not unusual, I had 2 others that did the same and never worked out if it was hardware or my computer (I think hardware though). I should also mention that I have a car charger for it and another 4 gb card for media as well if the person is interested.
It has a minor ding, screen is immaculate, was only used for 3 months and I am obsessive about my phones. I can send pictures if you want to email me with your address.
Anything around the $150 plus shipping would be acceptable I guess if that seems reasonable? Or make an offer
hi sir, check ur PM...
I also have a XV6800 that I am looking to sell. I just had it replaced by Verizon, so it's a refurb with a 01/19/2009 refurb date. I can even give you the Factory diagnostics test sheet they sent with it.
Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

I think a lot of people wanting a pda cheap (no data plan with 6800) on verizon will be picking these up. Keep posting up anyone who wants to sell theirs and we will try to find buyers! I will get back to my buddy and see what his budget is and all that. Thanks all!

I need 2 devices because one I will keep to myself and one give to a member of my family. I think I am going to buy it because the price is cheap and buyer protection guarantees my purchase. Nothing sneaky here people, move on.
BNIB to me means unused or unopened . . . That HD2 aint unused and aint unopened I reckon.
Hd2's do not come with screen protectors . . .Cant see many people putting a screen protector on a phone they aint used or are not going to use . . Which makes this phone used.
The last item sold was a compaq pouch thats described as fitting HD2 better than the OEM pouch . . . That statement screams this phone has been used.
Ebay buyer protection depending on who you ask counts for nothing.
Good luck on your purchase (or sale if it is your ad) but I would avoid an ad that aint truthfull which I think is the case and a seller with only 1 sale only adds to my suspicion.

It says it is "NEVER TURNED ON" and "SCREEN NEVER TOUCHED BY ANYTHING", so I think it is safe to say it is unused and brand new, don't you think ?
He made me a service by applying a screen protector ( one of the good ones to - the expensive Martin Fields protector ), as I would have applied one myself or even better take it to a shop to have it fitted in a clean-room environment. This seller just saves me all that cost .
To be honest, the case for my personal HD2 is a little tight, so maybe he is not lying. I am buying this second HD2 as a gift for my relative.
He is selling HD2 devices and cases, what is suspicious about that ??? I will obviously notice if the device has been used, I'm not stupid.
Buyer protection has returned me my cash for a FM transmitter from a Chinese guy in just 2 days. It takes the cash right out of the seller's PayPal account = secure.
Maybe the seller is just starting out, give him a chance. For 400 quid I think it is a great deal.

After a little searching it seems that you have posted twice elsewhere about buying something from cheap_deals_everyday. ( I believe may be you)
First was the pouch "he/she" sold before listing the HD2 which you said you were gonna buy. - http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=39295
Now you come along and post a similar message here about a HD2 for sale by the same seller also here - http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2139
You still have not bought it or placed a bid which makes me think even more your pushing your own ad.
To prove me wrong if you wish -
1/ Let us know your ebay username. I guess you might say "tudorgates"
2/ Now go bid like you said you were - £1.50 will do "tudorgates" should be the bidder
If I am wrong i will apologise...
PS whats with being all defensive in post #10 and I thought you bought the pouch you refer to in that post so you should know if its snug or not!!

I will post same reply from other forum :
I need a second device to give as a gift to somebody in my family.
I bought the case from him because my OEM case was too tight. The case was exactly as described. Now, I found a HD2 device from the same trusty seller, so why not buy it ?
Can a forum moderator please lock this thread (as it is of no benefit) and possibly warn the OP as its blatently jukan's attempt to get people to bid on an HD2 he is trying to sell via ebay and I believe the T&C state no advertising, correct me if I am wrong....
Edit: theres even a tag on the main page in the rating column of (buy, hd2, htc, leo, unlocked)
The same user goes by a different name on a different hd2 forum and he says the same things. I think this is very suspicious and i think he is the seller.
This is so sick!!!

where to sell hd2's?

other than ebay please, i have two nib refurbished hd2's, one nib new, and one i took apart to replace the screen and never taped it back in, i always use it for dev and testing. any idea's where i can sell these things other than an auction?
i wish xda had a for sale section!!!
Try over at androidcentral.com in the marketplace forum.

If You do not want to sell by auction you always can sell it as "buy it now" item with fixed price. eBay+PayPal are the simplest and the most secure way to sell anything, you're always secured from fraud and scams. Selling a thing through a forum section isn't as secure, correct me if I'm not right.

OK, I gotta ask why an AT&T user has HD2s that only run on TMO? Or are they international/telstra?
Anyway, Ebay is the safest for both buyer and seller. Just make sure that you ship only to a verified address.
I have traded in the marketplace forum here on XDA, but there have also been a number of scams there.

Well, I am interested but will they ship 10 packages to ten different locations? Or you will ship them once you get them? If you will do it than obviously the shipping cost above the product price, I am in UAE so I don't know how much will it cost to ship this from your country.

Yes defo interested. Even this is cheaper than Whitedome. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...rotector-with-Install-Kit-UV/32848566938.html
Been in contact with the seller, whitestone can't sue them one bit lol... they are not selling in US or through a US resell channel. Their glue is also "patented" so I will see how good it is after I get my first one.
Did you order yet? I am interested as well. I am in NY.
There are other sellers on alibaba which are selling the same thing, I have asked a few of them if they can ship 1 or 2 items instead of 10 as samples or something, lets see if this will work or not.
Purchased and received my dome protector today, just installed it with no problems. Im a First time user and I'm surprised how easy it went. I carnt see how they justify the price tho. And surely they could at least sell just the glass and liquid for a good price as a replacement kit is still expensive.

Whitestone has sold it for so much because no one else has had it - with the knock off coming out of china now, well, Whitetone may have to come down in price to remain competitive - I guess it all depends on the quality of the new one - and whether Whitestone does have a claim for patent infringement and even if they do if they can really do anything about it. They wouldn't be the first ones to have their product ripped off and sold cheap out of China - happens all the time - Personally, I won't buy products like that. Just on Principle. (look at the ad on Alibaba from the link that was posted - it looks exactly like the Whitestone Dome Glass.
