Are you sure that this is working ?

yes yes on 100%. personally use.

CZ language is perfect but i have problem ...I canĀ“t send MMS after patched

no problem language czech.good seting mms ?

FYI every HD mini ever being sold in Czech Republic already contains Czech language by default (unless bought in other country), theres no reason to do this harakirri, simply choose Czech language instead of English by first time HTC Sense setup, same goes for whole eastern Europe, Poland, Slovak, Hungarian, Slovenian etc etc. If you bought the phone and it already was preinstalled in english, simply run the Sense setup again and choose whatever language u want, its not a matter of phone being localized or not but a matter of HTC Sense being localized. I've sold hundrets of these phones and every single piece had it.

I've just installed PL, works fine, thanks. However I've noticed few bugs. Would you mind giving suggestion how can I edit PL file and correct it? I'd appreciate it. thanks a lot.

language
hi ,been looking for this ever since i bought my HD MINI works just fine in RO language .Great job ,keep it up thankyou kalros

HTC Streaming Media for Trinity/Hermes

HTC Streaming Media is pre-installed in Dopod ROM but not in HTC ROM, I extract files from Dopod 838pro(Hermes)and install them to HTC P3600 successfully.
1. Copy ALL FILES in StreamingPlayer.zip to /Windows
2. Copy StreamingVideo.lnk to /Windows/Start Menu/Programs
3. install 838Pro_Streaming_v210.cab to Main Memory
4. Soft reset
What is it?!?
Before I install this, what does it do?!?
I can't extract the Streamingplayer.zip. Seems to be a failure there. Can you upload a running zip?
Thanks for this. I am going to see if maybe I can get it to work with Shoutcast streams - PocketMusic sucks a lot and this might be a better bet.

Not sure that's entirely true. I have a TyTN, running the Cingular ROM with a mix of HTC and Cingular extended ROM files. I was going to try out your streaming package you've posted, but noticed I already had a file called "StreamingPlayer.exe" in my Windows directory.
I'm not sure if my file came from the Cingular ROM or from some HTC ExtRom files. Do you know? The file size on my exe is 288k with a date of 6/12/2006. The date seems to indicate it came from the HTC ExtRom bits as most HTC files have a similar date. The Cingular files are mostly dated 09/2006.
What does this program do?
your files does not seem to work here. an error box is shown when program is started but no message is shown (might be a language incompability issue - my trinity speaks Danish).
i've installed... but when i launch the application nothing appens... P3600 italian..
I am using PCCW 3G in Hong Kong.
The HTC Streaming Media works fine on my P3600(ENG version). I can watch TV Programmes by using HTC Streaming Media through the 3G Network.

To get it to work on diff. language WM5 system change the file ending on mui-files to the correct name.
I have a swedish WM5-device. Changed mui-file from StreamingPlayer.exe.0404.mui to StreamingPlayer.exe.041D.mui (Since 041D is the swedish mui-files are supposed to have.)
After this change the sw works just fine on my system. Before the change nothing happened when trying to start the application.

For Italian ROM is necessary to rename StreamingPlayer.exe.0409.mui to StreamingPlayer.exe.0410.mui
qyach , how did you watch TV on fido? DO they offer any channels?
for some reason the cabfile will not install on my dutch P3600
-edit- a new download fixed this, the program starts, however, all menu text is unreadable, only shows box like characters. Anyone knows the code to which I need to change the 0409 in? (0413 does not work)

Orange Switzerland
It worked perfect for german HTC, now i'm able to watch LiveTV on Orange Internet!
User Agent Setting of the Internet Explorer must be changed in the Registry to be able to access Orange Internet!
Just can`t get the thing working properly. Prog starts fine, but all text is unreadable as all characters are displayed as boxes. Changed the filename into 0413 for Dutch, but no luck.
Anyone managed to get it to work on a Dutch P3600?

how to change the language

Morning, I recently purchased a touch2 from Jordan and everything was in English. Well the other day my son got a hold of the pohne and installed a application that turned almost everything to Arabic. Now, I have NO technical know how when it comes to phones. I keep hearing that i can go in the registry and change it back to english. Do any of you guys know how to do that?
Ps. I tried the hard reset numerous times and it's still in Arabic. Also, I need step by step instructions...Thanks
I have the same problem. I have just bought the phone from the US and the interface language is in Chinese . I want to change it to English.
My phone was in polish loc. and after hard reset i changed loc. in to slovak

To change the language you have to do Hard Reset. After the first run and customize you have to restart the phone.
Then you can change the language.

Honestly - is this really possible? I thought changing the language on any windows mobile phone always needs to flash the ROM, and maybe even need to unlock in some way (hard spl or whatever)...
Basically, if I could really change the language to english, I might be thinking to buy two of those Touch2 here in taiwan for my GF and me... but I can't read chinese, so changing to english would be necessary.
On the other hand, with the ROMs I saw there was no traditional chinese version, just "WWE Asia"... this kinda sounds like there are more languages inside there... hmmm... lets see, I'm off to a HTC store to test this
Yoc can try to install Sunnysoft Interwrite to change a language.
If you chave Sunnysoft Interwrite try to change language in start/settings/system/sunnysoft interwrite.
In home page of this program you can select language without HR, only SR.

I know this is a very late answer within this thread, but yes, that's how it seems to work. For example, I have a Touch Diamond purchased in Slovakia, it is the WWE version. After the first power on, it made me pick between 6 languages: English, Slovak, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian. Once the language is picked, it will update all the system files, and you cannot change the language again.
But if you do a hard reset (like I did today) everything is wiped and the phone will boot just like it did the first time - going through all the initial configuration, etc. And it will allow you to select the OS language again.
Now, I don't know what languages may be included with phones sold in Asia. Above is just to give you an idea how the localization stuff worked on my Diamond.

By the way, no, there is no way to change the language with WWE ASIA or also the traditional chinese HK version. You can hard reset as often as you want, no menu pops up.
So I guess that's a special feature of some select ROMs, like the one for the mentioned middle/east european languages.
But now with HardSPL we can at least flash all ROMs that are available, so I got my Touch2 from the store in Taiwan already flashed with WWE and HardSPL. Now I changed to WWE ASIA and that's pretty good already
In a nutshell: Changing languages (with a few exceptions) requires HardSPL and flashing a ROM.
There is no way on ASIA ROM cause its basicly not WWE, but Asia ROM. HTC has many ROMs with specific language in them.

You are fully correct....changing language is for a selected number of Rom's. Since quite some people (incl myself) like this idea have asked some Rom cookers to built this feature as standard eg. have dual language options. Sofar unfortunately no reaction.....
So I think basically it is possible but not available. If more people ask for it.....it will happen someday either via HTC or XDA.

hd2 from orange france - select language

hello everyone,... i just received my new htc hd2 in paris, and i was told by orange in france that i could setup the language in english if i wanted to, but, cannot find a way to do this,...
anyone know how to change the language to english,...?
thanks for your help,...
ek
This is not possible
Windows Mobile firmwares with TouchScreen are "mono langage".
The only way to change the langage is to flash an other firmware with a Gold Card.
If you want support in french : http://forums.smartphonefrance.info/
hi
that is not true
u can add some lange changer as arabic english and u can change most of title to english
as i did
any help let me know
thanks
thanks guys, both,... figured this out but was misled by orange france who specifically told me through 'online' help, in writing that it was possible to change the language,... you can change the 'region' but not the language, and, i just read that the 'goldcard' does not work with orange france,...
this is getting complicated,...! i have 4-other htc devices, 2 of them from orange, and it was a breeze to change everything,... now, you have to be a 'rocket scientist' which i am not,...
thanks for your help, but would like a simple and easy tutorial to change the 'orange france' ROM to a WWE ROM,...
your help is appreciated,...

language T9

Is there any possibility to enable/add Czech T9 dictionary?
(I mean with original SW keyboard, no new keyboard with T9. I am considering buy Cruise 09, I only have hold it in hand in shop. This property is important for me.)
Hello, have this cab file for you......
Frank:
Thanks. If I decide to buy Cruise 09, I will try it.
Is this cab file special for Cruise 09, or is it for any HTC model, or for any WM 6.x model?
I assume it is general......

I am sorry, but this cab can't work in my phone.
But the simpliest solution, I have been afraid to use, the "All input languages reg patch" for Touch Diamond, the "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab" operate well!
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121&highlight=T9+Input+14+Languages
My: HTC Touch Cruise 09 (Iolite) ROM 1.09.401.3
it means, ROM contains Czech T9, only the option is hidden in the menu.
Cab that works
That one does not work on Iolite as well as many other devices... I made a .cab for you guys that truely works.
See attached file.
Enjoy.

I am sorry, but your version does not perform on my device. Keyboard does not type anything. In any language.
I am HW restarting and converting to original "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab"
Well if you bought a Czech version than you should have that language included......though HTC is not always so generous in giving what we want...
Glad it is solved.
Frank:
It is English version WindowsMobile.
Official Czech version ROM never have been sold, with Cruise09 model, I think. SunnySoft sell only the SW Czech localization (I have not it).
HTC sells English WM models with 14 languages T9 in Europe, but only the 5 main are in the menu (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), others are hidden. How to unhide this languages, it is the thread
"forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121&highlight=T9+Input+14+Languages" about.
Do not know if this helps you but over at the Touch 2 read this......http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=600713
Frank:
I have got this configuration now:
1. ROM: English (after HW reset it is still English)
2. SW localization WM: none
3. T9 language: 14 languages available in the menu, include Czech, unhidden with xda-developers
I am satisfied . No reason to change anything.

Thai Language?

I live and work in Thailand and I have a HD2. I had upgraded the ROM to 1.61 but now my wife wants to be able to use it also but she needs to have the Thai language option. I downloaded the 1.66 ROM from HTC with the country Thailand but it still doesn't have the Thai language option under language. Is there a CAB that I can download somewhere that will install the Thai language on this phone?
Thanks.
In case anyone runs across this post, I had to take the phone back to the dealer and there isn't any all-Thai menu like for most languages but he installed Thai fonts and a Thai keyboard under other so she could send and receive SMS messages and email messages in Thai. I'm sure that there is a cab for it somewhere but I couldn't find one.
Hey Sam
Didnt you get THAIWINCE Professional included with your phone?
I also live in Thailand and once this is installed I can view sms etc and change language so my wife can type sms to send
Not sure if it changes the actual ui language as she has a new phone but you can try it
Actually i just tried and you can change the UI language in the settings under (Touch)
