Thanks! This is awesome! I was wondering if there was an easier way then going through each app individually. Makes Apps2SD so much better now! Btw, does anyone know if apps stay on the SD card if you do a factory reset or whatever?

Now we just need Google to make earth able to move to SD.

Thanks!

New Android Market?

Saw this on CNET through Engadget. Looks very cool, they say it will come in Donut what do you all think?

its cool that there at least trying to renovate things...just my opinion...
I don't see much difference other then they moved the free/paid option to the main screen for filtering, changed some png files and the background color. I can wait.
It needs a facelift, but more than anything else it needs a viable search engine. The search function it has now is sloppy and painfully unreliable, it's a wonder how anything like that could come from Google.
I agree, the search really is horrible, I can type in the exact name of an app, but unless its included in the pname, no dice.

+1 its a b*tch trying to find a specific app in the market
1. Fix the search function. Its not just bad its terrible. Mind boggling considering whos behind it.
2. Needs a way to show screenshots. Even if its a stupid link. ItunesApp store is miles ahead just because of this alone. Alot of time saved if I could see what the app/game looks like.
That said I do like the above screenshots.

Sam is a pretty decent Market App, it has screenshots and a decent range of app's

What Is The Benefit Of Partitioning An SD card

So I have been reading in some post about partitioning your mirco SD card. I just wanted to know why people are doing this and what the benefit to the user is.
Bwahahahahahaha

serious answer now
people partition thier cards into 3 for
fat32= for loading roms and standard storage
ext3 or 4= for apps2sd: where programs are stored and ran
linux_swap = for a swap file to increase ram
now has that answer your ?
cause two halves are better than a whole.

lol... but it still makes up the same crap whole lol.
Oh man... Anyone watch Man vs food? Dude ate a 7lb burrito with everything... talk about a "hole" lol..
Oh wait... Sd card? I thougth we were talking about tacos.
If you have flashed a new rom, but didnt know anythign about partitioning your sd card then you jumped to soon my friend.
i call bs when you say you have done some reading.
So a new guy who can't do a forum search can do a barrel roll.
Benefit for most people is it allows you to run your apps off your SD card giving you virtually unlimited amount of room for apps. Most of us also use a linux-swap partition which many of the roms use to speed things up.

The most random thing...

this is not question just posting a weird situation that happened to me earlier... i have the latest MikFroyo installed that includes the JS power control bar in the pull down menu... well everything was fine beforehand and i was reading up on how to mod it to add/remove toggle switches. So i went about making the changes but didnt make a nandroid thinking this was a simple change and should be fine and when i rebooting low and behond every app i had downloaded was gone or at least in the app drawer(still showed in settings-manage apps). I don't use apps2sd(my sd card was not formatted for it either) and the phone kept saying the memory card was "unexpectedly removed" even though it was clearly still mounted in the phone... The modification worked miraculously but then i removed the mod i added to see if it would revert back but of course that didn't fix it so i just bit my tongue as i reformatted my sd card and phone which of course had only one minor important thing on it... my NFS Shift game progress!!!! U live and u learn i guess... anyhow wish i knew wat the hell gave my phone alzheimers lol...
Bad flash, it happens. Its happened to me a few times. Thats what nandroid is for, and its a good idea to back up your sd sometimes.

The acer camera app

My acer iconia's camera/camcorder app has the option to save the vids/pics straight to the external sdcard. My asus transformer's camera app doesn't do this. I've asked the same question in the transformer section, but apparently I'm too newb to for those gurus to give me an adequate answer.
Anyway I can use the acer camera/camcorder app in either an asus based custom rom or the asus transformer itself?
I'm asking this because I'm using the asus based custom rom on my acer and I love it. I don't want to go back to stock.
Which app is that?
Ok, people. In my acer iconia, the camera app allows you to save either to the external or internal sdcard. Look at the following picture.

I've tried many times to save the app from the acer using root explorer, titanium, and adb. Can't install it onto the transformer, though.
Could someone smarter than me help me out with this? I'm being poked and prodded by the better half as long as she doesn't get this option on her transformer.
You can't just copy a system app and be done with it.
It needs libs and other data to do that so just give this tablet to your GF and that's it.
Edit: Or prepare to be poked a lot.

+1 - or just do a simple market search, there are literally thousands of camera apps that can save to the MicroSD.

Is there a list of bloatware/apps safe to disable?

I searched the forums but I can't find any thread which compiles some sort of list for the Note 4 so far. Can someone point me to the right thread?

Here you have an "automatic" debloater:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/themes-apps/cwm-bloatware-removal-script-t3067501
The forum is full of those ..
Though freezing/stopping apps first .. then if so you wish uninstall them is the safest way .. I don't recommend auto debloaters at all for the simple facts that devices/Roms differ and devs can't possibly test all of them ..
Key is : stop what you don't use "now" delete what you are sure that you'll never use ..
For privacy reasons all pre installed apps that can be downloaded "should be deleted and installed freshly " especially after rooting and using privacy apps that cloak such as xprivacy ..
Apps that are pre-installed would know everything about your device even if you block their access & permissions later on ..
