Text Messaging Thread Mod/Hack/Tweak/Cabs/Custom - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps

Hi, I really don't like the look of the text message threads the way it comes on the Tilt 2 (you know, the white background with a green underlined From text & then the message text)... and I've seen other phones that make them look a lot nicer with 3D-ish boxes around each message & alternating colors between messages & so forth....
Does anyone know of any Mods, Hacks, Tweaks, Cabs, Custom Settings, that you can either edit the way it looks yourself or download a pre-made custom look for the text messages & text message threads? What would be even cooler would be if beside each text it would have a little picture of the person if you had one associated with that number in the stored Contacts. Thanks!!!

I'm sure someone's had to have seen/found something out there about this. If I just missed a previous discussion on it, would someone mind posting a link to that thread? Thanks!

Sound notification problem

I posted this in the other sub thread but got no response so I thought I'd try here. I recently installed the palm threaded sms app. I love using this for text msging except for the fact that I get no sound or vibration when I recieve a new txt. I have checked the settings in the sound notifications and everything there has sound applied to it. Any help would be great. I want to continue using this program but won't be able to if I can't tell when I get a sms msg.
you should have a separate entry in the notifications list showing Text Message (Palm) or similar. You need to set this to the sound/vibrate you want. The only problem I've found is that none of the usual profile managers that allow you to switch between quiet/loud/normal/vibrate and such will change this notification as they are all hard-wired for the standard notification name only.
There is one for text msgs but no matter what I put there it doesn't give any kind of notification.
Edit: Found the one you were talking about I guess I just overlooked it testing it out now.

Incoming Text Messages are not in the inbox??

Please pardon this posting (if this is an already known issue - it's 3.00AM and I've been combing the Herald threads for known issues but didn't see this on there)...
I got a new Wing today and after placing the SIM card in it, the phone works like one would expect until you try to send a text message. That never gets sent . What's more aggravating is the behavior on incoming text messages. The keys light up when I get a new text message and the counter on the home screen adds to the number of unread messages however, when I click on the link to attempt to view the messages, the inbox is blank. 0 messages in it. I have checked all the folders to no avail. Even a hard reset on the device doesn't seem to fix the issue. Am I missing something here? If so what??
FYI I called T-Mo support and their Tier 3 guy was stumped.
Here's the wierd thing while I was going through testing to validate that this was an actual issue, I did get the "incoming text message" bubble notification and from there, I clicked on Menu (from the home page) and was able to view the text messages - so they're somewhere in my phone, just not in the inbox - anyone have any idea where I can look?
*bump*
I'm having this problem now. Ever find the fix?

Can't access individual notifications

I have done a bit of searching for this and I am having a difficult time finding a solution to my problem.
My problem is, I can't access individual notifications anymore.
I have the HTC Pure, (hence why I'm here), when I touch the top of my phone, the black bar on top with all the icons, to access the notifications section, I am able to see the new notifications, like alarm, message sent, and any other reminders. I can highlight each one, but it no longer pops up the chosen notification. I can't individually see whats new and delete them after, the only way to clear the notification region is to hit "Dismiss all"
I have the original rom that came with AT&T wm 6.5, there are only two programs that I have installed that I can think of that MAY affect the notification section of my phone.
The BKalltabs manila 2.1 wvga - which just lets you put up a picture for all the tabbed backgrounds, rather than just homescreen
The HTC hotfix for text sms - for the pure phone rather than the tilt 2 which was mentioned in this forum
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580679&page=2
I feel that this hotfix which "stops" the message sent notification in reality just prevents my notifications from working correctly - I say this because the "message has been sent" still shows up in the notification area...just doesn't pop up anymore.
Sorry for the long message, thought I would try to make it as detailed as possible.
Thanks for any and all help

Search / filter text messages

I have searched the Forum but cant seem to find any answer to this.
Wondering if anyone has any idea if I can filter/ search through text messages on the HD2 like we could on previous WM devices (including the touch pro2)?
in the text message program, if you type "trade" for example, all texts get narrowed down to display only the ones with the word "trade". Very handy tool to search through text messages especially when you have a lot of messages on your device.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

[Q] Stock email program and background color

Is there a way to change the stock email program (the list of message part - not the messages themselves as those are fine) from white text on a black background to either the reverse, or some other color combination? I'm finding that, depending on the lighting, it is rather difficult to easily identify read messages from unread messages. If there is no way to change the color combo, perhaps there is a better way to highlight unread messages? Thanks....

From what I can remember, you can change the white background to a yellow-ish background to make it easier to read. Not sure about white on black though.
The white to yellow background is only if you are reading a specific email. There is no way I can find to change the colors of the list of emails. You'll have to probably wait for custom ROM, unless rooting can provide a workaround. I know there are other email apps floating around for other Galaxy devices, but I haven't messed with my Fascinate yet because I'm waiting for a sure fire backup/restore method.
