Cleaning Amoled LCD - Vibrant General

What is the best way to clean the screen? Ive used the cloth that came with the phone but is there anything else I can do.

Do you have a screen protector installed? Just wiping it on my sleeve is usually enough.

lol. that was my first thought when i saw this thread.
to the op: +1 for using shirt.

Three grit sandpaper followed by a generous polishing with pumice soap.
Actually I am all about the shirt.

[Q] Cleaning earpeice grate

So, I don't know if anyone is having the same issues as me, but over time it seems to be impossible to keep the EVO's phone-speaker grate clean without it attracting some stray fuzz and pocket lint, making it look a little dirty.
Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to clean it?
I use a Qtip with a little rubbing alcohol on it. Cleans it right up

A piece of clear tape pushed around with a stylus will pull up a lot of lint.
Compressed air works great, too.

I'm always reluctant to use compressed air. I'm afraid that it'll just push the debris deeper into the phone.
Better to grab it and pull it out.
Cyber Clean is the way to go. Works wonders.

did you use a black marker
try using dye..
i remember someone doing this for the touch pro 2.. i have the phone before and the desire z feels the same so it might work
they used dye to add color to the matte part of the cover

I really need to know how this is done. I've had 3 G2's cus they keep changing a yellow color. If it was black I wouldn't have to worry about this.

Same here. I got the gel case on mine as soon as I dropped it the first time and don't take it off except to clean the dust off. Still looks mint except the one corner of the phone where it fell on.

For the final sanding I would use somethin really fine or you could even semi-wet sand it and you'll get a great finish.
Can you post better pics...i want to do this.

Looks good bro, even though mine has been in the case since day 1 I think I still might try this. I always wondered my they only made the G2 in silver...

SGS2 Screen Friction

Greetings SGS2 owners,
I'd like to know your opinions on the SGS2 touchscreen surface.
Sometimes it's an unpleasant experience to swype texts because my finger gets stuck to the screen.
But some other time, the screen surface is silky smooth. Not sure why is this happening.
And the other day, a friend told me that my SGS2 has more screen friction compared to an iphone. Anybody can verify if this is true?
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks.
Your fingers have grease on them naturally, it makes them slick. However if you clean your screen or wash ur hands it will stick

Thank God I don't have sweaty hands ...
It dosn't matter if I use a screen protector or not ... when my finger gets moisty/wet I can't use Swype LOL
On most other surfaces water would make it more slippery ... strange
Thank God I don't have sweaty hands ...
Yes, all boils down to the dust or grease accumulated on the screen and on your hands Nothing else ...
There's a software update to make the screen smoother.

yeah if you underuse your fingers
lol I forget this is a software development forum.
I'm thinking more on homemade fix.
Have anyone tried something like talcum powder or any other lubricant (gasp!) with good effect and no adverse results to the screen?

Found something funny!!

If you get a grape and use it as a 'stylus' it actually works, and better, its really accurate too. Thought I should just post this as I found it quite funny

I can see you eating some grapes while using the tablet... then one falls from your hand and bounces against the TF screen... and then you witness some incredibly accurate touch events
Thanks for the tip
Gett a bag of chips and rip the bag and wrap the ripped part around a pen and use a rubber band or tape to wrape it around. Works just like a stylus. No joke. I saw it on life hacks part 1. Lok

Anything that can conduct electricity and is touching your skin will work
Grape is best idea yet
I have a mechanical pencil that some of the internal broke but the exterior is metal. I took one of the yellow kitchen sponges with the green scrubby part on them and stuffed it inside the pencil with a little hanging out the tip. Works great!

Accurate, cheap, it also doesn't scratch the screen and doesn't leave finger marks! Perfect stylus in my opinion!
