Phone vibrate v. Key vibrate - Vibrant General

Is there a way I can get the phone to vibrate for a phone call but not have the buttons on bottom vibrate? I notice when I turn down the vibration intensity it also doesn't vibrate for phone calls.... That kind of sucks

I am wondering the same. Anybody know of a app or fix?

I just figured it out...leave the phone vibrate checked but uncheck the haptic feedback

Thanks for the quick fix tip

Any other way around this? I love that my soft keys vibrate (just ensures me that I actually touched it), but I need my vibrate mode to be put to the highest. I don't want my haptic feedback to be too strong, but I don't want my vibrate mode to be too low at the same time. Hmmmmm, any apps or something?

Weird vibration feature?

I noticed this earlier today. I was playing with the settings on my vibrant trying to optimize my battery life so I put down my haptic feedback level so when I push the soft keys the phone doesn't vibrate hard. But the next time I got a phone call the notification vibration was at the same level as the haptic feedback intensity and I couldn't feel it ring. Is this supposed to happen or is it a bug? Is there anyway I can leave my call vibration strong and the feedback weak?

I have also noticed this. not sure if it's normal or not however.
I believe this is a feature. I set it to maximum and turned of haptic feedback all together.

My phone doesn't want to vibrate

after I updated to the ota update.. my phone doesn't want to vibrate. It doesn't vibrate whn I touch the home screen buttons or when I hold the homescreen down or a even when I'm getting a phone call. And yes, all the settings are checked. I've even rebooted and it still isn't giving me haptic feed back. Any help?
I am having the same issue. Its the only problem I have noticed with JI6 so far.
OCLF v2.1+ disables vibration on JI6. You will have to disable it and install v1 if you really want the vibrate.
Thanks that was it..

Haptic Feedback on Soft Keys disables on every reboot - Galaxy s III SGH-I747M

I am running stock Samsung Galaxy SIII ROM and Kernel (UNROOTED) on Virgin Mobile Canada.
I go in the sound settings and enable haptic feedback to "vibrate when soft keys are pressed and on certain UI interactions."
Every time I reboot or Turn Off/Turn On the phone, no matter the sound profile I am uring (silent, vibrate, sound on), the check mark in the haptic feedback setting gets "unchecked" and therefore disables haptic feedback for soft keys. I turn my phone off every evening and therefore this is a bit of a nuisance.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I did a search on XDA and did not see any posts for this exact issue.

After more troubleshooting I have found the problem:
At every boot I would turn back on haptic feedback in settings. On one boot I finally noticed that power save mode was on (from the notification it made). I checked the power save settings and it was set to "Turn off haptic feedback". This is what was turning off on each boot.
Problem solved.
Thanks god you found the problem! It's driving me crazy too!

no vibrate when on silent

for some reason, my phone no longer vibrates when I get a call when on silent mode. it used to. I do have vibrate setting turned on. any ideas?
thanks!
I thought that was the reason for silent mode.. I don't remember my phone vibrating for anything when on silent...
Just checked, and it doesn't. ? Fluke perhaps?

not sure, but I think I might have found a solution. when long-pressing the power button, if i set it to "vibrate", it will vibrate on silent. from that point forward, I can keep those settings when setting it to silent by sliding the lock screen's silent switch.
The lock screen sound mode toggle will always be sound and the last non-sound mode your phone was in when it locked.
For example, put it in vibrate and lock it. The toggle will be sound and vibrate. Put it in silent and lock it. The toggle will be sound and silent.
I hope that helps.

I seen and tried what you where saying and but it still doesn't vibrate when I switch it to sound I get the pop up that says sound on but when I switch it to vibrate it says sound off and doesn't vibrate I've looked at every single setting and can't figure out why it's not working
So using the power option is a workaround.
But using AutomateIT or Tasker you are stuck as to forcing a vibration notification? Right?
Anyone?
Can we revert to JB??
I am on the latest KK.

Double tap power for camera vibration.

The phone vibrates pretty strong when you double tap to
Power to launch the camera. I don't see any option in settings to adjust vibration
Intensity. Anyone? Just wish I could turn off the vibration.
me too
I'm actually rma'ing mine because the vibrate sounds like it's rattling against something or is loose. It's very audible.

Anyone got a root solution for this? The work around is to use battery saving mode then there'll be no vibration but there must be a better way?
