Despite ordering mine as soon as google/phone was announced yesterday morning, my phone was not shipped out until this morning at 5am giving me a delivery date of tomorrow. Perhaps the unlocked phones are shipped a day late for some reason?

Incredibly fast.. the time from searching for an app to installed is literally seconds. Accelerometer also works much better than my past phones.

Really?! I ordered something from an online vendor for Xmas and it went into backorder and I was notified that week. I'm still waiting for the item to ship. So you're saying I can file a class-action lawsuit?

Ordered early hours of the morning on the 6th (UK 4am) and still got nothing about it being shipped! Only that they have received my order!
They must be randomly sending these out...

Very good. I ordered mine at 2:09pm EST tuesday and got my shipping confirmation at 10:20pm. The phone arrived the next day at 12:30pm.

I ordered at algebeld, which should have been 'the first in Holland', expected the phone in tue beginning of May (5 May was originally the date being talled about on another topic here).
Now its ****** delayed again from 13 to 18 May. So from being first and awesome its gone to not even 'the same as the other providers' but even later than them! Rip off! I'm so pissed right now... as you can probably tell.

It's rather a funny story actually: I walked in @ the store in Hoofddorp and asked if they had the S2 on stock. "No" he told me "but tomorrow I have 7 on stock, 5 already reserved. If you extend your contract now I can reserve one for you". Well gues what, I did extend the contract, went home and then they called "We've got them! You can pick it up tomorrow" (was close to 18:00 so the shop would be closed before I could be there).
Unfortunatly I'm occupied most of the day, so I can pick it up at the end of the day
Just went to the belcompany and telefoonkopen shops and they have it in stock

Yes, bol.com is really credible. Its one of the largest e-salers in Holland, with excellent service in general. A bit on the pricey side I agree.
I have my device for more than a week now, its overclocked to 1.5 ghz, although I dont know if thats necessary.

Hey You may wanna check your tracking info. I got my email as well and it says delivery Wednesday 8/28 but when I checked the tracking number from Fedex it says Motorola sent it over night shipping and it'll be delivered TODAY!

They are just managing expectations as being at the front of the order queue will probably still get yours delivered in four days, but it's mostly the people who ordered over after Friday that it might take longer due to backlog from demand.

Yeah, doesn't hurt for them to play safe with early estimates and it also helps that there are still a lot of att and best buy stores that don't have the motoX display yet. I went to BB on Saturday to buy a RocketFish tpu case and a sales guy was trying sell an HTC One to a customer. I can't help but think how that sales pitch would be different if they had the displays set up.

I ordered a 32 GB. The only customizations I did was a black faceplate, the black textured back, and yellow metallic buttons and accent. I couldn't decided on a custom boot message so I did not get one.
