[HTC Elf: Posting Rules, Please READ BEFORE posting.] - Touch GSM General

ATTENTION!!We are glad that our community is growing really fast. Unfortunately, the number of topics in the threads of the forums grow in a very larger manner
Unfortunately not every user is aware of the general forum usage and posting rules
As a direct consequence to that MODERATORS will apply the Elf forum, a very strict moderating policy which might imply:
immediate thread deletion when newly created thread addresses an already discussed topic;
immediate thread deletion when newly created thread addresses an issue such as "Which ROM is the best", "Elf vs iPhone", etc.;
immediate post deletion in the case of double posting;
immediate thread deletion and a temporary BAN in case of thread spamming (to be more exact, creating the same thread twice, with different name, etc.);
immediate thread deletion when newly created thread subject lines are not as per posting policy mentioned below
closing old threads (you can always PM a MOD with the link of the thread you want to reopen);
eventually deleting old threads
Please consider a few guidelines before posting to the Elf Forum and Subfora! (also applies to other Fora!)
DO check whether your question has been asked before!
There are some questions that have been asked before several times.
Use the “Search” function on the brown menu bar on the top of the page. There you have the options the have Google search inside XDA-developers site or to use the built-in forum search
If your search has no / unsatisfying results, try with different keywords
If your question has been asked, read the thread or use the “Search” function to search through that specific thread
If you don’t find the answer, try posting in that thread as chances are bigger someone can help you.
Alternatively you can start using the XDA-Developers FireFox & IE Search Bar Plug In.
DO read the Wiki!
Chances are that the answer to your question is already to be found in the Wiki. So please check the Wiki and read the FAQs.
DO edit the Wiki!
All the information that is stored in the Wiki is dynamic. Therefore it can be edited by everyone. Updating the Wiki in this way leaves us with an up to date Wiki which can successfully answer other user’s question only by reading it.
Also posting an answer you get on the forum to the Wiki helps other users with future similar questions.
Don't be afraid of editing the Wiki if you don't understand the wiki syntax: Formating may seem a bit complicated at the beginning, but you don't have to care too much if you just want to add content, add it as if you were writing a text document and sure someone more experienced with wiki syntax will edit it after and correct the bad formating mistakes.
New here?
If you are a first timer, welcome aboard!
Please read the General Guidelines of XDA-developers posting.
As a rule of thumb, let’s try to maintain the following structure:
Elf
(General talk. Post general issues related to Diamond, software, skins, fixes, tips, tricks, OS issues, etc.)
Elf upgrading
(Specific talk. Post issues related to upgrading only, Utilities, HardSPL, Radios, unbricking, etc.)
Elf accessories
(Specific talk. Post issues related to accessories only, SD Cards, headsets, remote, etc.)
ATTENTION CHEFs and USERS!
Let's try to post our ROMs the following way:

This is a terrible idea! All that will happen is that we'll have anouther 900 post thread in which no one can actually get any useful information unless you have a week of nothing to do. Advanced search features such as search thread titles only die when mega threads are created, and most people end up asking the same question over and over again because answers are lost 10 pages back.
NOOBS, use the search function first. If you find a thread that answers your question great, if your question could potentially be answered in that thread, go ahead and ask it. If and only if your topic truly is novel, then by all means open up a new thread. Generally speaking, most questions should go in the Polaris subforum, and only ROM upgrade related questions should be posted in this subforum.
has anyone tried to or is it possible to skin the size of the clock in the "alarm" menu to make it more finger friendly? the current one is too small and very finger unfriendly.

**How to title your threads in HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development**

Dear HD2 Chefs,
Thank you for taking the time to read this. As you all know, the ROM development section of the HD2 forums has grown tremendously and continues to do so. In order to maintain this section better and to make it easier for new members, I request that you all follow the following Thread Naming conventions. Some of you are already doing this and I request the others to do so as well.
[ROM]
To indicate that the thread is in fact a rom. This has to be the first Tag for your title.
[OFFICIAL]
To indicate that the rom is from an Official source. Depending on if the rom is an official one or not, this tag has to come in second.
[RADIO]
Radio Thread
[LANG] (Not required for English ROMS)
Indicate the language of the rom if it is not English, preferably with 2-4 character mentions. If you carry ROMs with multiple language options, please use the tag [MULTILANG]
[REF]
Reference Threads
[REQ]
Requisition Threads
[TUT]
Tutorial Threads
Additional Tags
[GUIDE]
[DUMP]
[PROJECT]
For the time being, these are the only tags we need to get the forum organsied. I might include more tags at a later time.
We thank you for cooperating with us and for all your hard work & continued support of XDA.

[Important] - Development Thread Titles!

Hello all,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself, I am the newly appointed Forum Moderator for this forum and hope together we can keep this place clean and a great place to develop!
The first thing I have noticed is thread titles are pretty inconsistent, many lack key information a use might need to know and this makes it not very easy to scan through the forum and find what your looking for.
Hence I would like to introduce Development thread title structures
The layout is simple enough, and I ask ALL developers to move to this new structure as soon as possible to help keep the forum tidy.
The structure is as follows:
[TYPE] [ANDROID VERSION] [NAME] [OTHER INFO] [DATE]
[TYPE] - Here you would enter if you thread is a ROM, or Kernel or Mod etc.
[ANDROID VERSION] - Version of android you thread is based on or for (If a ROM this could also include the base ROM used i.e CM10)
[NAME] - The name of your ROM/mod
[OTHER INFO] - Anything else you feel users want to know before entering your thread
[DATE] - The date or the last update/release/change of your thread
An example of this format would be:
[ROM] [4.2.2 CM10] [Zac's home grown ROM of coolness][Now with extra cool!][22/03/13]
If developers could please change their current threads as soon as possible, and all threads made after this post should conform to this layout!
Thank you

Might do well to search the Beta thread, maybe with the word emoji, and for ensuring the upgrade from:

Which magisk version did you install? Use only 20.3 to root. 20.4 causes issue. Btw only way to get back the missing fonts and emoji is to flash oos again afaik.
