[REF] READ IN 1ST : Rooting your Acer Liquid - Liquid S100 Android Development

Well, it seems that a lot of people get their liquid (semi) "bricked" by trying to root their device, mainly by installing Superboot.
So here is an how-to root your Liquid, whatever is your rom.
You don't need Superboot anymore, Superboot was useful before, but now it's USELESS
To root your device, just install MALEZ RECOVERY, and from the recovery menu, you will be able to check the root status of your rom (Enabled / Disabled / Unknown), and of course ROOT your current rom with it.
So, just follow the instructions from here : http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/wiki/howToInstall to get MalezRecovery, and you shouldn't get a "Black Screen" after rooting your device.
Hope this will help some of you

Thank you very much but i cant go past fastboot when flashing it.

Yes any change in firmware re-installs stock recovery.
Malez has 3 different ways to install the recovery on his Google Code site, did none of them work?
If not, try this- http://android.modaco.com/content/a...-superboot-768-880-920-998mhz-recovery-other/

the megaupload link is currently unavailable. does anyone have a mirror? please post

Malez recovery still not compatible with Acer Liquid E Ferrari
Any other way to root?

You don't need to do the whole thing. What you have to do is downloading a App named "Unverisal Androot 1.6.2 B5"
After install, run it, root it. take you 1 second to root you Liquid

[Guide] Acer Liquid E Root from Stock

(cross posted from my post on Howard forums)
I've had my Liquid E for a few days. I returned the Xperia X10 to Rogers. The Liquid E is a much better phone right now.
The Liquid E has 512 MB RAM! The X10 only has 256 MB available (might be an Android 1.6 limitation). Not only does it have more RAM, it runs much more efficiently than the X10.
Linpack on X10: Low 4.x @1 GHz
Linpack on Acer Liquid E: Low 5.x @ 768 MHz
Linpack on Acer Liquid E: High 6.x @ 960MHz
I already rooted mine, but at the moment until we get the bin file there is no way back to the Rogers ROM. So do this at your own risk.
Status of Custom ROMs and Root
Rooting is very simple. Just get to fastboot and flash the modded recovery. From that point on either root the stock Rogers ROM, or flash a custom ROM!
Froyo Android 2.2 doesn't seem to be stable yet. I've the Acer Liquid Community Eclair Android 2.1 ROM on it right now, which I think is the best ROM out there for this phone. It has the usual goodies of a fully rooted ROM, including Apps2SD.
Here's the good stuff. Root!
I use Windows so Windows instructions only
I don't recommending following the Unlockr's method. Rooting the Rogers Liquid E is very straight forward. I have no idea what detrimental effects flashing older bin files intended for the non E version can do to your phone!
To root the ROM, download Malez recovery basically follow the instructions, but I'm going to explain some of those steps:
http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/wiki/howToInstall
Here we go!
Boot into your phone and enable debugging under Settings->Applications->Development->USB debugging
You must have proper ADB and fastboot drivers working on your phone. Here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IEZRXHZ0
Install x64 for 64 bit only if you didn't figure that out by yourself.
You also need to download the SDK tools pack to use some of the adb (Android debugging bridge) and fastboot (which sends commands to the bootloader). Extract it to someplace you remember:
Extract the files and open up a command prompt (cmd), and browse to where you just extracted the SDK and browse to the tools folder under command prompt. (if extracted to c:\tools and you are in c:, type 'cd c:\tools")
Download the latest malezrecovery custom recovery disk image and put it into the tools folder. Download from here:
http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/downloads/list
Now connect your phone to your computer. Then type:
Code:
adb devices
This shows you if your device is detected by your computer. If there's nothing showing under 'List", you don't have the drivers installed.
Now we install the custom recovery. Still in command prompt, type:
(replace malezRecovery_0.5.3.img with the filename of the malezrecovery custom recovery disk image you just downloaded)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot -i 0x0502 flash recovery malezRecovery_0.5.3.img
fastboot -i 0x0502 reboot
When you are done, it will say something like this on your computer: sending 'recovery' (4876 KB)... OKAY writing 'recovery'... OKAY
This will reboot your phone back into the normal firmware. Now you need to get into the custom recovery by typing into command prompt:
Code:
adb reboot recovery
At this point your phone will reboot. Now you can root your ROM or download any custom ROM you like. I recommend performing a backup by choosing Nandroid backup.
In this recovery mode, simply use the 'Menu' key to select items, and the Volume keys to move through the list. The 'Home' key confirms actions.
Getting back into recovery
This is a bit weird. With the phone off, hold the volume down key with the camera key down for a few seconds. Then still holding those keys, hold the power button until your phone vibrates 3 times.
Otherwise you can just run 'adb shell reboot recovery' through your computer, or there are other ways to get this. If you are still confused, Google first. Ask later.
Installing the Acer Liquid Community ROM
Before you install the ROM, I recommend backing up Docs2GoLite from your Rogers ROM if you haven't already, as it is not included in this ROM.
You can do that in various ways. I think you can use Estrong's File Manager to do this. (I used 'adb pull' from command prompt for /system/app)
Do a nandroid backup!
Then wipe your phone (wipe data/factory reset)
Now you do NOT need to flash a new bin file. Just take the ROM zip (LCR_1.7-signed.zip) and flash it in recovery.
Reboot then you are done!
Overclocking
Based on phhusson's git for the Acer kernel source, he has made a few custom kernel images enabling overclocking and also wifi tethering.
http://android.modaco.com/content-page/312094/custom-kernel-for-eclair-lcr-v1-7-and-1-6/
Since the Liquid E already has 512MB RAM, we don't need compcache. Don't download those.
Wifi Tether
Currently development is at this thread here:
http://android.modaco.com/content/a...liquid-tether-wifi-tethering-for-acer-liquid/
Resources
Modaco Forum for Acer Liquid: http://android.modaco.com/category/418/acer-liquid-liquid-modaco-com/
Acer Liquid Community ROM: http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-community-rom-bugtracker/
Custom kernel I'm running.
I built this from phhusson's source. Includes undervolting for lower voltages, and scales up to 960MHz at 1.3v. I found 998 at 1.3v to be a little unstable.
compcache is off. Just flash in recovery.
Bootsplash based on 月喰い谷 by aile, http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mod...lust_id=6768374
Tested on LCR 1.7. I didn't update to 1.7.1 because I've been pushing files manually.
You want to be finding kernels like this
Hey any chance you could post a step by step, i coudlnt figure out your method so like an idiot i tried the unlockr method but after i use the acer flashing tool i try to run the recover.bat but the command prompt doesnt do anything and the phone doesnt reboot into recovery mode.
I can refine it a little, but the only thing missing from this making this a step-by-step is numbers
Why choose LCR over Xian? And couldn't we just go back to the Rogers rom if you reflash the nandroid backup we make?
Thanks for the great tutorial btw.
I just used LCR as an example because that's currently the most feature complete ROM there is out of them. Heck they have a few guys working on that, one of whom does our recovery.
The Dolby audio feature on LCR is finicky, but sweet. I use my phone for music, so I need this ROM. There's supposedly divx support too, but I haven't tried that.
LCR has some weird missing things in it, but it's got a lot of stuff in it.
xian is an optimized stock Acer Liquid build and doesn't bring a lot more in terms of features. But it's a pretty good ROM too. It's down to personal preference really.
It comes down to which kernel you flash on top that really affects performance the most.
what option do i go to flash the rom.. and where does the "LCR****.zip" have to be placed in order for the Malez Recovery to flash it?
On the root of the sd card. Not in any folders.
As for option, just "flash zip from sd card." LCR is signed btw.
Just one quick question - only works for Rogers or any other retailed ones in other countries???
this should work for any liquid
First post needs an update!!!
Malez recovery is at 0.6 now and is even simpler...really
http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-malez-recovery/
http://lcr-team.org
I am using stock ROM from Fido and I got my Liquid rooted.
So, Is it able to flash this on my Fido Stock ROM?
So this is the forum you fled too
I was missing your work on the dream. Well I am getting a liquid E to go along side my dream in a week or so. Will be rooting/flashing roms on it too!
im totally newb in rooting liquid e android. is there a way to provide the link for download sdk tools pack and fastboot? really appreciate it
I have Acer Ferrari, and i've tried many ways including manual way, and same thing happening, after installing Malez recovery completely and trying to boot to recocery Vol - + Cam + Power
it's rebooting normally and just an image for recovery on screen and after that it's continue boot normally as nothing happened.

[P7320][OTA ICS 4.0.4] OTA ICS for GT-P7320 Tutrioal

How to install OTA update for GT-P7320
First: Get ICS OTA.bin file, get them from sammobile
http://www.sammobile.com -> firmware -> firmware and files > Select : Tablet+Android+GT-P7320+top-10 latest then download from OTA file section the newest one for your country
Second: Get root
Fallow this thread: here
Third: Get stock recovery
Flash stock recovery fallowing this thread:here
Fourth: Flash OTA update
1. Rename your OTA.bin file to "ota.bin"
2. Copy it to sdcard
3. Connect your device to computer and get ADB terminal
4. Type in ADB terminal(without brackets of course, be careful about lowercase and uppercase letters):
- "ADB shell"
- "su"
- "chmod -R 0777 /cache"
5. Download and install fota.apk, you download it : here
6. Run fota appliaction from app drawer, then click "Trigger update" and wait until it will become grey, you can also check everything under logcat (adb logcat)
7. Check in cache folder there are delta files, like delta,Zimage or fota.status
8. Type again "adb shell", "su" and then "reboot arm11_fota", device will be reboot and you will see percentage of OTA update.
Known Issues:
Q: OTA update restarts at x% then back to previous system
A: - You have to get the same rom version as rom version written at the end of bin file, get a hex editor and look at the end, there
are a some hex number, then encode them to ASCII code.
- You have to flash stock recovery before flashing stock rom, you have to get a update in recovery after flash stock rom
, if dont work again, try to do a factory reset, the flash stock recovery and rom.
Q: I cant get out from recovery after OTA update
A: Take care after ICS OTA update to 4.0.4 for GT-P7320, after enter to recovery you wont able to boot normaly, it will be repeat and boot again into recovery
If you did it.. and you cant get out from recovery
1. Go into download mode via ADB (adb reboot recovery) or via key combo (power+ upper volume key[the nearest of power key])
2. Flash CWM recovery or honeycomb stock recovery
Recovery files and adb drivers you can get: here
Thanks to:
tracid - He have made the fota.apk and a tutrioal about flashing OTA.bin files.
daFojtas - He have flashed OTA update for GT-7320 as first
glitschi667 - for make a tutrioal with recovery files
Q: How it work?
A: the ICS for GT-7320 work like charm, just except the fact with recovery bug and little bugs with HW-acceleration, sometimes slow downs interface if you will force 2D GPU rendering
can any one preapre a cwm flashable rom out of this ? it would help a lot

thanks,
My humble request is to have a CWM zip file to be falshed directly from recovery without using the PC or ADB commands
I've got XXLC4 P7320XXLC4 3.2 HC on my device, with one OTA update i need to download, to get correct Rom version ?

Have you got any update logs after that?
Have you tried to reflash the rom with the swedish or polish version of HC?

7230 and i957 are almost the same device, there are some ota files for Canadian version on sammobile so it should work with specific base firmware
If you need a basic hex editor that shows all the information:
http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm#download
For Telstra Australia customers
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-P7320T&pcode=0&os=1&type=3#firmware
I've got 4.0.4 running after a bit of stuffing around.
Firstly you need to go Settings-->About Device
Your Build Number needs to be P7320TDVLC1
If its lower then that then download the 2012 March 3.2 Honeycomb update and install that via ODIN. This will upgrade the tablet to DVLC1
You will need to reroot the device if it was previously rooted, which will include install CWM I think.. I did downgrade mine first so not 100% sure if CWM reinstall is needed.
Once its rerooted then follow the instructions in the first post to downgrade CWM recovery back to stock, and the rest of the instructions work fine.
I used this: http://www.hotfile.com/dl/171845569/190c132/GT-P7320T_TEL_259218971.bin.html OTA upgrade. Its currently the top Telstra OTA upgrade listed on sammobile.
Good news is.... All your apps and setting remain over BOTH upgrades if you need to do it.
HTH helps someone..
So far its working, but I haven't tested extensively
I can't do this step
"Chmod -R 0777 /cache"
any clue?

What error do you get? If it's something like 'permission denied' then you're not root. You'll need to make sure that 'su' works.

[GUIDE] Root, TWRP, CustomROM (for KOT49I.V50020D)

Hey everyone,
today I got myself an LG G Pad 8.3 because I liked the hardware. Unfortunately, LG's software ist almost as bloated and ugly Samsung's [citation needed]. After a lot of searching through this forum and elsewhere i finally managed to get this tablet from KOT49I.V50020D (KK 4.4.2) to CM11. As all the other guides are for older versions/builds of the OS and never cover the whole process I'm trying to do a little tutorial here. It was a little harder than rooting my Nexus5, so I don't really recommend this for newbies.
Credits to the respective creators of the software, hacks and methods used in this Tutorial. I didn't do any coding or magic.
As always: No guarantee this will work for you!
I am not responsible for what you do with your tablet, phone or life.
The first thing I did was to root the G pad using IOroot (Credits to autoprime).
1.1. Enable Dev.-Options by clicking the build-number 7 times.
1.2. (while your G Pad is not connected to a PC) enable USB Debugging
1.3. Connect to your PC, You will need the LG Drivers
1.4 Unpack the Zip-File from the thread and open a commandline in the folder
1.5 Check communications using "adb devices"
1.6 "adb reboot recovery" to boot into recovery mode (obviously)
1.7 move to "apply update from adb" using the volume-rocker, select with the power button
1.8 (On your PC again) "adb sideload kk_root.zip"
1.9 The installer will do its thing, you should see "DAT ROOT" when finished
1.10 reboot your system (see 7.)
In the next step, you will install a custom recovery.
Or lets say, you will let a script install a custom recovery for you. (Credits to Drgravy, id10terror and samuraix21)
2.1. download the zip-file from id10terror's thread (his Step3). The download may be slow
2.2. unpack and right-click the *.bat-file -> Edit using an editor of your choice
2.3 change the letter at the end of the build-number according to samuraix21 (second post in his thread), then save
2.4 run the batch-file, the tablet will reboot after this step
2.5 put the newest version of TWRP on you G Pad's internal storage
2.6 repeat 1.5 and 1.6 to get into your new recovery
2.7 immediatly after the screen goes black, pull out the cable (for unknown reasons)
2.8 install -> select the recovery you just moved to the internal storage, swipe to confirm
2.9 wait until finished, go "home", reboot system
That was the hard part. Flashing CM or any customRom is fairly easy
3.1 Download the latest CM-Snapshot from here
3.2 Place that zip-file in the internal storage as you did with the TWRP-file. You can erase that one.
3.3 repeat 2.6 and 2.7
3.4 Wipe -> Swipe to confirm
3.5 Install the CustomROM as you did in 2.8. This might take a little longer.
3.6 see 2.9
3.7 The display might be very dark while booting. You can change later
If everything went right, your tablet now runs a rooted customROM =)
Sorry for this wall of text
I rooted with Towelroot, simply install the app, click to root, install SuperSU from Play store, that's it. Nice n easy. Thanks for the guide.
Sent from my XT1039 using Tapatalk
Just got my refurbished V500 (OTA updated twice to latest stock 4.4.2)... Done rooting & installing TWRP 2.8.0.0 using the same steps as OP stated ... Easy enough.
I had my win7 systems previously prepared for my G2, so not a single issue with drivers.
Decided to stay with Stock LG (same as my G2) ... customed ROMs can stay on my N7s.
(note: remember to allow root-access to ADB, on the tablet. Also allow SuperSU to update its binary thru TWRP).
Thanks.
After step 2.7 my g pad enters stock recovery with the following errors at the bottom:
E:missing bitmap stage_empty
(Code -1)
E:missing bitmap stage_fill
(Code -1)
I got root access, edited the .bat file to V50020d and supposedly flashed ABOOT and Recovery correctly.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah, that's the problem.. After step 2.7 I'm supposed to have TWRP, but I dont. It will just enter Stock recovery with those errors on the bottom.
I also tried Flashify to flash TWRP 2.7.1.0, but as soon as I try to enter recovery it just stays at the LG boot screen with the following error: Secure booting Error, Cause: boot certification verify.
I guess I'm out of luck here.

Found a fix (technically). Thanks to @nlmensch for the idea. :highfive:
Basically, I just downgraded to v50010b and installed TWRP from there.
Link for @quangnhut123 thread to make the downgrade:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
Link for the .kdz files (I used United Kingdom V10B):
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=39
After the downgrade, make sure to get root access for 4.2.2 and TWRP for your downgraded firmware.
Hope this helps. :good:
This all looks great, and I'm really thankful for the effort you've put in, but I'm stuck -- I don't know if I'm just being stupid! You said to download latest version of TWRP and put on SD card... but how? v500 isn't officially supported by TWRP, so where are people getting a copy? I looked but couldn't find it. Any help massively appreciated!!
Thanks
[EDIT: I was indeed being stupid. Worked out the relevant TWRP links were in Drgravy's threads. Many thanks )
I had the same problem with installing twrp as the others. To fix it I did a factory reset back to clean stock 4.4.2. After that the guide worked as intended and I was able to install twrp. (There must have been som app or update that interfered with twrp before. I don't know?)
To fix the dim screen when booting cm11 I installed mani.Kernel v19 in twrp after setting up cm.
Using cm I really like all the settings available, the standard navigation buttons and that the bug in stock rom that made youtube videos stutter is gone. Smooth playback. And batterylife seems better. Screen takes 75%.
Big thanks for the guide. I'm glad I followed it. And there's nothing wrong with it because I ran into the same problem with other guides.
Edit: I would recommend installing the Quick Boot app instead of rebooting to recovery using adb and yanking the USB-cable.
The TWRP part didn't work for me either. I ended up flashing a recovery image (TWRP) through flashify and it messed up my recovery and can no longer access it, luckily tablet is still working.
I really hope there are easier ways with errors etc to put a cwm recovery as it driving me nuts.
I didn't think i'd have so much trouble on an android as i have with these lg pads.
Should had stuck to samsung, but the hardware and price was just to be avoided and thus went for these slick gpad's
Mine is on 4.4.2 and rooted, just getting recovery to work is stopping me from having nice new roms

I installed ADB on my pc, Do i install it on my LG GPAD also?, as it is not mentioned.
How do i use it in accordance to your instructions? as i have never once used this before.
I use root explorer, can this be used in anyway?
Thank you
Best wishes
ADB is only installed on your computer. ADB allows you to open a remote shell on your pc to your tablet using the usb cable to connect them to either. You can use Terminal Emulator in place of ADB. You can also move files and change file permissions with Root Explorer also. You will need a shell to execute some commands and that can be done with ADB shell or a Terminal Emulator shell. Both are ok.
Thank you for this amazing guide!!
Can you help me on step 2?
Installing custom recovery I can't see the option to "Install" I only see Updte from external/adb/cache.
What I did miss?
Thank you!

This means that you may still on stock recovery. Same happened to me, if you want you can follow the steps I provided previously to solve this.
Anyone can please point me to id10terror's twrp thread?
It seems that there are more than one.
I did what exactly is in the first post (although I rooted with towelroot, since ioroot got permission issues), but when I go this step and I expect to see the new "interface" with the install option:
2.8 install -> select the recovery you just moved to the internal storage, swipe to confirm
I just still see the stock recovery.
As a matter of interest, I see the in botton two things:
E:missing bitmap stage_empty
Code -1
E:missing bitmap stage_fill
Code -1
I've 4.4.2 v50020d (just bought it) - any ideas?
If you have ever downgraded your device in order to change aboot and get a working custom recovery, then you can flash this zip in CWM or TWRP to bring your firmware back to 20D.

[STOCK][ROOT] Step-by-Step EASY ROOT whit DUALRECOVERY in your Lollipop 14.5.A.0.270

MOD EDIT by @gregbradley
Also, users should be aware that Kingo root sends your IMEI to an unknown IP address in china during the root process, you have been warned. For more information read the whole OP here
Step-by-Step EASY ROOT whit DUALRECOVERY in your Lollipop 14.5.A.0.270
This was tested in my Z1C whit unlocked bootloader running stock 14.5.A.0.270, if you chose to try it in a locked bootloader, do it at your how risk!
Before starting, read the post to the end to see if you can manage to do this steps by your self!
This isn't for everyone, and it my not work on everyone, but if it helps you great... If not try another solution. THIS IS THE SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME!
WARNING: "I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, and any kind of problems in your little life of yours. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you."
1. Download Z1C-lockeddualrecovery2.8.18-RELEASE.installer.zip from "[Z1 Compact][TWRP][PhilZ Touch][CWM] XZDualRecovery" or go to NUT link site that you can find here.
Unzipped to your computer... and save-it for later.
2. Download [BETA][2015.04.28] SuperSU v2.49, from Chainfire from here, and put it on your Internal Storage.
3. Download the attached "KingRoot replacement.zip" and place the mrw folder in you internal storage.
4. Uninstall or deactivate any boot your antivirus in your computer (for step 9) and in your device.
5. Download and Install Terminal Emulator app from the PlayStore.
6. Download and Install the attached version of KingRoot (that you can find in this post). This version was the only one that I tried that root 14.5.A.0.270 Rom (DO NOT REBOOT YOUR DEVICE)
7. Open Terminal emulator and type :
"Su"
Allow root permission
Type:
"sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh"
Update su binary normal, but in the end DO NOT REBOOT YOUR DEVICE
8. Go to Settings and turn USB Debugging on... (If you dont now how to do this... Go to Settings-About phone-click seven times in "build number"-go back-"developer option"- turn it on!!!)
9. Go to your computer and connect your phone.
unzip the file that you download it in Step 1, and press install.
Chose the SuperSu Option
When asked, allow debugging in your phone and also root access.
10. In the end of the the installation process THE PHONE WILL REEBOT and in the star sony screen, press multiple times the volume down to enter TWRP recovery.
Now install the SuperSU v2.49 Beta zip file that you downloaded in step 2.
11. Reboot your device and now you have permanent root and dual recovery... It was not so hard, was it???
Give Thanks to NUT and Chainfire, that without their work, this was not possible.
Reserved:
A word of advice.
If your device gets stuck or die, reinstall your firmware whit the original sony flash tool, that you can find and download in sony's support site.
You should also mention that the Kingroot app may share Your phone's unique information such as IMEI with some servers. Also, in step 7 You assume the phone is rooted, but till step 6 all that is done is downloading and installing the app, nothing is done by opening the app, which might confuse some users.
Since all other thing i wrote here were deleted i will delete this also.

When i enter sh/sdcard/mrw/root.sh it just says this "not found" but i have paste it to root of my internal memory and when i saw that isnt working paste it to external memory, but no luck.... Some help would be appreciated.

its: "sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh"
you must leave a space between sh and /
Another thins... this is my solution that i decided to share... If you don't like it, don't try it or don't use it... it works for me.
If it helps anyone, great!
Is also possible that doesn't work for everyone... so... like it says in the OP... do it at your own risk.
Criticize is easy... posting solutions is harder!
I have try kingroot on fw 283 telecom de, and not worked.

You can follow guide from My signature. It is tried and tested on locked bootloader.
KingRoot.apk worked on my Z1C with .270 kernel, with locked bootloader. Should work on .283 as well. Followed a different tutorial though, probably taken from this one. Dunno which from which
Can you post your tutorial?

i read both guides through couple of times and then went for it and it worked.
Hi,
I've got stuck in the step 9. I have USB debugging enabled in my phone, but adb is not seeing my device and the script is waiting with for it:
Code:
==============================================
= =
= PhilZ Touch, CWM and TWRP Dual Recovery =
= Maintained by [NUT] =
= =
= For Many Sony Xperia Devices! =
= =
==============================================
1. Installation on ROM rooted with SuperSU
2. Installation on ROM rooted with SuperUser
3. Installation on unrooted ROM using the TowelRoot method
4. Install ADB drivers to windows
5. Exit
Please choose install action.
[1,2,3,4,5]?1
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
=============================================
Waiting for Device, connect USB cable now...
=============================================
adb devices
List of devices attached
In step 7, you wrote to now reboot the phone, which I assume could solve my issue (reboot into fastboot mode).
Do you have any solution for this?
Thanks a lot,
Michal.
EDIT:
I've solved this problem when I changed the Sony Xperia Z1 driver to not MTP but USB composite -> then ADB driver installed as well.
How to change this: Device Manager->Portable Devices-> Z1->Update Driver->Browse my Computer->Let me pick from.. -> Change to USB composite.
Now I have dual recovery with rooted phone - thanks a lot!
Michal.

Root for v10f-EUR-xx H440N LG Spirit

Hi everyone.
As the thread title says, is there a working root method for v10f-EUR-xx firmware version of H440N LG Spirit? Tried Kingroot 4.1 and 4.5. None of them worked.
Anyone tried this method?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772
This is the LG One Click root method. You can download it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
Try and see if it works.

... and it just stays there ( at # ) without unpacking anything or rooting the phone. Did not work.
HELP! Anyone?! I don't believe that this phone is un-rootable.
Kingroot app works on v10f_eur_xx.
Reflashed v10e, updated to v10f via OTA and tried with Kingroot 4.5 again. Did not work ( stopped at 70% ).
Can more people confirm KR 4.5 works with v10f?

Here
Are you guys rooting the phone with a fully flashed v10f firmware or the OTA update one?
I guess the OTA v10f breaks something. I'll try flashing a full v10f version and give it a go.
Well, after flashing a full v10f firmware and trying to root it via KingRoot 4.5 apk and after that, the desktop version, I call shenanigans.
There is no way Baltic v10f-eur-xx can be rooted.
I don't know how you two did it, but it's impossible on my side.
Reflashing to v10e and rooting - at least there's no problem there.
Yesterday i rooted my spirit with lastest kingroot app. Also have v10f version.
Can anyone else confirm rooting v10f?
As I said i rooted my phone with kingroot app, but now there is new version of system, v10h or something, but when i download it and try to update it says that rooted device can not be rooted. What to do? Already try to remove root through king root app, but problem is still there.

It seems like the new version is not rootable yet. I think that if someone has the knowledge and time, he should port the LG G4 Low Effort Root for our device.
I have installed the Poland Plus v10j version, but in software settings it says v11b. I use it without root for now.
Well, I kinda messed up. Thought "who knows what this OTA update will bring?" and unrooted, then updated. Now, with V10h-EUR-XX I can't root it. At all. Tried Kingroot, OneClickRoot, LG all-in-one, spirited away... Nothing works. Whoever reading this, do not, i repeat, DO NOT update to V10h if you're not developer or know how to make root
Flash 10f kdz, easy as that.
It seems that my phone do me a favour
I recently got the v10h ... wanna try and root with kingroot, but ... since it's the v10h dunno if it will work and if it's worth trying...

I am running v10h kingroot 4.5.2 is working but i needed to try 14 times with a reboot inbetween
Once rooted i suggest using wolfdroids guide to replace kingroot with supersu
The guide is on his site
Heres the link to the guide http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html?m=1

14 times? Maaaan!!! I heard that other people also had to do it 10 times or so until they managed.
Can anyone else confirm successully rooting v10h with kingroot?
