32GB SDHC problems - HD2 General

I recently bought a micro sdhc 32GB card, and I am having endless issues with it.
1. My HD2 won't allow me install apps on my card. Just always asks me to install in a different area.
2. It has once deleted everything off my card, and also deleted over 10GB of music while leaving everything else intact.
3. My HD2 will sometimes see it and sometimes not.
I have tried to sync music onto it from my laptop, I have used the USB connection and I have put it straight on using my SD card reader.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? I bought the HD2 because it was expandable up to 32GB and I didn't want to carry a phone and a ipod, and I didn't fancy a ipod.
Help please?

What card did you get, where from, and how much did you pay for it?
There are dozens of people on here who got ripped off and got fake 32GB cards, and this is the kind of thing that can happen with them.

I paid £30 off eBay it was from a power seller, but my PC reads it as 32GB and it also can put the 10GHosts of music on and see it. I haven't tried to read off my pc though.

Geeeez, sorry but it's DEFINITELY a fake! Did you reall think you would get a 32GB card for 30 bucks? You guys are making it really easy for those frauds on eBay. I mean, if it had been 100 I would have understand, but 30???

Yes, fake with no doubt, £100 is about the cheapest you can have (a real) one for.

Alright thanks. I thought it was good offer but I still went ahead as he had a 99% score on ebay. Oh well that's money down the drain. amazon for me now.

He scores 99% because he removes the item before people can give negative feedback. Correspondence about refunds and sending new items take time, before you know the item will be retracted. And a lot of people give pos. fb without having really put 32 gigs on their card, as it seems to be working at first.

Pretty much the formula is this..
ebay + shipped from hong kong = fake.
Its best to not even purchase memory cards from ebay. Find a reliable retailer in your country or region. Youll still get a good deal purchasing online, and it will be guaranteed to be legit. (with a warranty!)

Thanks guys I will get on to ebay see if I can get some money back, I have found a 16GB for the same price on a proper retail website.
Thanks again.

a 30pound 32gb card?

Maybe in 4 years
Btw... I have had good experiences with buying from Hong Kong too, but just not SD cards, other things like phone skins, car holders, etc. are ok, they're cheap and and you can't lose . Also you have a better chance of buying cheap but good items from Hong Kong when you buy from a seller's web site instead of eBay.

Best website to buy a SD card ?

Hi!,
Can someone tell the best website to buy a Sd card ?
Should be 512 mb or greater, and have a good response in velocity
It's to be used in a Qtek S100/Magitian
Im' from Portugal, so shipment costs are relevant
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,

You can have a look at this site:
http://www.tweakers.net/pricewatch/cat/48/top
It is a dutch pricewatch with many dutch shops, but also many internet shops.
I bought my high-speed 1GB SD card from Amazon.co.uk and it cost £63, which is equivalent to about €90. The brand is Bytestor and it works perfectly so far.
On Ebay...Guy in new york sells 1gig sd for about £38 and £9ish to ship.
Takes 3 - 5 days and fully guaranteed
bakerk ...
How much in USD or EUR ? I'm from Portugal, so.. maybe that person doesn't ship to portugal ... i have to look better in ebay...
Thanks
I'd recommend that you are very careful about buying on eBay...
I bought my first 1GB SD card from a person on eBay. The card he sent from the US was NOT the same as the card he was advertising on eBay. He claims it was the same but the speed rating was different. Customer service was non-existant and he didn't care that he sent me a different card brand. His card took 4 weeks to arrive.
This is why my second purchase was from Amazon. It was slightly more expensive but it was much quicker and I knew it was going to be correct.
Maybe I was unlucky with eBay but the very cheapest isn't always the best. :?
Good luck

This is NOT the guy I had problems with. (My guy was called Sarafatl.)
However, the guy I used had a feedback rating of 99.7% from over 100,000 trades. I thought I'd be safe. Two weeks after I received my card he disappeared from eBay. User account closed.
Compared with trading with someone like Amazon, who have a reputation to protect, eBay may be slightly cheaper but not cheap enough to compensate for the worry of using someone completely unknown, IMHO.
I ordered from sarafatl because he was selling the specific brand of card that someone in these forums had recommended (Kingmax) but that wasn't the brand of card I received. He said he'd run out of stock. I have no idea whether the card he sent was as good as the (recommended) Kingmax.
Bought mine off ebay. Lexar 1 GB, paid $65 including shipping to Norway from the US.
Always had good experience shopping off ebay, as long as you stick to the power sellers you should be ok...

Where can I buy this case from in the UK?

Case is out of stock, available in 7.14 days.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/6413.htm
Is there anywhere else in UK where it can be purchased, or does anyone have one to sell?
Thanks!
In the same boat as you !
Have looked everywhere and nobody seems to stock them, apart from Brando themselves who are a little more expensive and will probably take just as long to deliver .....
http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwo2xdaIIminicase.php
I've ordred from moblefun. Note that if you sign up for their newsletter, you get a voucher for free delivery. Helps keep the costs down!
Yup !!
Only paying £13.95 for it - seems a bargain compared to the other cases I bought and hopefully this will be the "perfect" case for me .... i.e. the last one I buy
I've received my SDIO WiFi card today, and looking at the pictures of the case, it would appear that the card cannot be inserted without opening the top catch. Can someone who has the case confirm that I am correct in my assumption? Thanks.

MicroSD Case

Hey guys,
I've been searching the net, it seems MicroSD Card cases/holders/wallets are starting to appear, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of them..
The Pelican 0910 case was the one I was looking at right now, but I'm just looking around at this point to see what might work best.
Feedback desired ;-)

I have 2 8gb cards. One stays in the kaiser and the other in a very tiny usb adapter that stays on the keychain (a mobilemate micro) . My advice? Just get bigger cards so you dont need as many
where to find a really cool microSD card case/holder
I saw this link on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFzEuG3oM8s
the web address is www.sdcardholder.com , the thing is way cool, holds ten cards as well as an adaptor and is razor thin. I called the toll free number and the guy told me the first run was bought out completely by a company that is going to give them as swag at CES, they have more in production and will be selling on Amazon and ebay after the first of the year. I literally was searching for a year for something like this. The company says they will be $7.95 with free shipping in the US. Beats the crazy pricing I have seen for really crummy designs and most sellers try to rape you on the shipping.
Agree

I want one - that's a good bit of plastic... but not available in the UK yet
Oversized metal one from ebay it is.
Try this Card wallet:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_11000130_11000734&products_id=21956
Since I never try that before, but I using the phone case from this store, the qualities are really good, and the outlook looks very practical, but if more design or colors provided, It will be more attractive.

Stylus and other accessories

Ok I just got my Tilt from this guy and currently flashing the rom. He didn't have a style so is there a shop I could go to to get one. Like maybe Fry's or would they have some over at a AT&T shop so I could stop there in the morning.
Also what's the largest mem card I could use on a Tilt without any problems. I'm not familiar with the SDHC stuff but could I get maybe a 2gb and be alright with it?
You can get the Stylus from ATT or many other sources. The TyTN II / Kaiser / Tilt all use the same one.
http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=Kaiser+Stylus&um=1&ie=UTF-8
http://www.google.com/products?q=TyTN+II+Stylus&hl=en&show=dd
http://www.google.com/products?q=Tilt+Stylus&hl=en&show=dd
Also if you need something temporarily if your local ATT store doesn't have any you can look at any office supply store (Staples, Office Depot, Office Max etc etc) and look for a multifunction pen (3-in-one etc etc) that has a stylus built in. It won't fit in the slot but it will hold you over until you can order one that fits the device.
As for storage cards you can use pretty much any microSD or microSDHC sold. They claim up to 32GB cards will work but there are not any sold that big yet.
I really wanted to start using the tilt with everything soon so I'm staying up late flashing and installing stuff on it.
Well I asked about the stores since I can stop in the morning but AT&T don't show any accessories like that online.
Thx for the info ont he cards, I'll definitely be stopping at Fry's for one tommorrow.

PHONES PURCHSED FROM Mobiles.co.uk

Hi all,
I have recieved my phone from mobiles.co.uk finaly who initially advertised the I9000 as the 16gb version... This is incorrect and have since changed their website to 8gb..
I have been in contact with mobiles.co.uk who have tried to send me an 8gb memory to make up the difference. Like probably most of us here we already have 8gb memory cards so this is useless but may be useful to you.
I would advise that anybody who has purchased the Samsung Galaxy S from mobiles.co.uk as the 16gb version, to double check and you'll probably find its the 8 and if you want to return it.. do so before the return policy runs out and goto vodaphone for the 16.
I am curious how many people they have done this too!!!
Hi, I bought mine from Mobiles.co.uk, and yes it was advertised as 16g, but it was also advertised as having an LED Flash at one point. But being realistic I never expected to get a 16G version since Vodafone announced a UK exclusive on it. Mobiles corrected this as soon as they got them. I didnt bother asking for an 8 gig card, as you say, we mostly already have them.
You are fully entitled to send it back, and get one from Vodafone, but it will be locked, and likely Vodafone branded with the red dog turd. So I'm happy with my 8G version, and its hardly a limitation given we can add another 32G in the SDHC slot.
I guess its a question of weither you feel cheated or hard done by, or weither you shrug it off as an easy oversight in today's world where a new gadget arrives every week.
Thats exactly it.. but would rather be given the choice than realise when its too late and cant send it back.. Vodafone offer it for £35pm and dont give the half price offer neither which would pay for the SD card..
Just a note to people... thats all.
guys do you know if this phone work on tmobile US? can I buy it off and get it send over to the us????
thanks
