Figured this would would be a good central location where fellow AT&T victims, err, customers, can help each other out and discuss all things GSIII.
I preordered mine yesterday at Best Buy, 16gb Pebble Blue. Got an XtremeGuard full body protector coming for it and gonna order up a TPU case tonight so I have some sort of protection for it until my Otterbox arrives. I hope we (US S4 GS3) get our dev section soon so our devs can do what they do. It never ceases to amaze me at what those guys can do
Can't wait to get mine and do some comparing with my One X. Preordered the white model today through ATT.

After waiting like 7 hours for the Corp store able to order it for me (they had issues with it processing). I got them to knock 25 off the price and 25 off my monthly bill. I ordered the blue one...I'm really excited.

I am super excited to get mine. I ordered it online right when it showed up. It was 299 though. I called today and eventually the customer rep said there is a 100 dollar rebate and it will be in the box. Anybody else have this happen?

It was an instant rebate. I highly doubt a rebate will be in the box. If that was the case, I would be getting mine for $99. Sounds like the rep doesn't know what they're talking about. I would call again and explain what the other rep told you. If you are upgrade eligible, you should only pay $199 plus tax.

after going through 4 methods to try to pre-order and retain my unlimited data, i decided... i'm just going into the store on launch day. that way i can 1) get the phone at 9am instead of waiting till i get home from work and 2) keep my unlimited without extra hassle (the store has no problem keeping unlimited on immediate phone sales but for some reason it doesn't work for them on pre-orders)
bought mine online at bestbuy.com had no problems keeping my plan or unlimited data intact
I'm wondering what people are getting for sd cards, there's quite a few 32gb out there, only a couple 64gb ones... I think i'll stick with the 32gb as it took me 2 years to fill up the 16gb on my sgs1... are there any reviews, comparison, etc for these micro cards? i know these sd cards can really vary in terms of r/w speeds and what not.

Edit. With SD cards, you want the highest class number. Those are the fastest. But be careful because the most extreme speedy cards might not be supported.

All orders will go to a backordered status because there isn't any actual stock as of now. I ordered at 1am, an hour after preorders went live, and mine also says backordered. The same exact thing happened when I preordered the One X and it shipped on time.

I checked the confirmation email and order status and no where does it say 'back order', just 'pre-order'. I've never pre-ordered before so I have no prior experience with this, either. Hopefully everybody will get theirs on the same day no matter what it says...
I'm kind of on the fence on whether or not I want to order from GameStop. There's the obvious cost benefit with no shipping, but I haven't been able to confirm if it has all the same bonuses as the Play Store. Plus they list the shipping date as July 31st, and I can barely wait for it as it is. What's your guys opinion on the better choice? I wanna order it soon, I'm really excited for it!

The general consensus is that it won't include the 25 gift card if ordered from gamestop this hasn't been confirmed but is likely

Nope, I've already pre-ordered from Play Store. Anyone that pre-ordered from GS, have they given you a release date yet?
No date per se, just says it'll ship in 3-4 weeks.

When I spoke to the guy at my GS he said hat they have a ''soft date'' of 7/31 but in the ''training'' they received to push these tablets they were told mid july. When they have a hard date it'll be listed as a ''street'' date.

If you have anything to trade, go with Gamestop. I traded in my 64gb iPod Touch 4th Generation that I never use anymore. It was in "Like New" condition, so the trade-in value was $203. With the extra 30% I got around $265 for it. With the original cost and tax of the tablet ($266.05), I owed $0.85. So I basically got the tablet for less than a dollar. I had saved up enough money to buy it, but now I'm pocketing the $270 that would have been spent on it which is a pretty damn good feeling.

The HTC One isn't even on HTCdev.com for unlocking. I would imagine it'll be a little while after it's released to get it on there and unlocked.

AT&T is usually 100 cheaper or more for off contract. Best buy wants contract only sales so they jack up the off contract price.

I pre-ordered a silver 32gb AT&T model at Best Buy this evening. I was planning on getting the black, but the more I thought about it, I kind of like the silver. I've always had black so maybe time for a change, and maybe I'm a bit impatient. The girl who rang me up told me it would be there on the 19th, but we'll see. I chose Best Buy because I pre-registered for their $50 gift card if you activate/upgrade a phone with them this year.
So I went into Best Buy today to pre-order for Sprint, but they told me I have to wait until tomorrow since only ATT has started pre-orders. I'm a little confused about how pre-ordering works. The guy told me that it would be $50 when I pre-order, and that it would be reimbursed with a 50 dollar Best Buy gift card. Is that $50 dollars for the pre-order a down payment that will come off the total later or is it a premium that is just "refunded" with a card I can only spend at their store?

That preorder $50 is different than I was talking about. They make you buy a $50 gift card and they link it to your preorder, that holds your phone. When you go in to actually pick up the phone, bring that gift card with you and it can be put towards the phone, or if you don't you're left with a $50 Best Buy gift card. The $50 I was talking about is a promotion that already ended, but if you registered already, that's another $50 gift card you'll get when you purchase the phone, however you don't have to pay for the second one. Ordered mine Tuesday night.. Called last night. They first offered me a $100 google play card. Then a $100 accessories.. A supervisor was checking on other options and will call me back. If I don't hear by when I get home tonight, I'm going to call and take them up on the accessories deal.

Same situation. I don't want the accessory coupon so I'll re-order at the new price and return the first device when the second one arrives. Just need to call to verify that there's no restocking fee.

I wasn't too excited about it myself but then again, having the device for a week and actually purchasing it 10/29, I'm just glad I got something. She even made sure to tell me that I can't use the credit towards any accessory that is specifically for the Dev edition. No clue what can be purchased specifically for the Dev edition but the only thing I actually want is the car dock so that's better then nothing.

Yeah that makes sense. If it was less of a difference I'd take the credit (which iirc only lasts 30 days). I'll probably buy the car dock from Amazon or something. Only thing that sucks is that I'll have to pay for the return shipping ($10 for FedEx ground).
Edit: You can ask for a free shipping label but you have to wait 24 hours. With the shipping label, the savings are $107 for me (tax).
I bought the T-Mobile version on 11-5-13 for $600 and it is now $500. I called and asked for a refund on the difference and they offered me a $100 credit for accessories. After refusing they offered me a $100 visa gift card, which is what I took. It takes 4-6 weeks to arrive however.

When I ordered, I got hit with a 689.65 and 689.09 charge... My Credit Card company's fraud department called me about it. the bill was supposed to be $688.99. Its still being worked on. I haven't seen any other charges pop up.

Best Buy is going to have it on the 17th and you get the $200 instant gift card when you pick it up. Win-win. Get it before Verizon store and get the $200 right then without waiting on check from Samsung.
Mine also said the 23rd. But I can't see BB releasing on the 17 th and verizon not doing the same thing.

1. Preorder(get's you a $50 giftcard as well) the Note 4 within the specific time range(9/19/14-10/16/14)
2. On release day, bring in your trade-in and go through the process of getting the gift card for it.
3. Use both giftcards to buy the Note 4(of course you pay the difference if there's anything left over which there should be)

Since mine was ordered at Verizon, I had to spend $50 on a droid razr on Swappa, which is worth $15 trade in, so I will net $150, not ideal, but gets me half off.
