Friends,
This is another WM6.1 ROM (build 20931) relesed out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool.
I encountered many problems with almost all the new ROMs cooked with 3.13 or 3.18 set of Drivers.
Following were the main problems:-
1. The Prog Memory goes down from 102 MB to mere 84MB causing shortage.
2. The Manila 2D sliding is sometimes sticky with or with out 3D drivers.
.AND
3. Many of the programs dont run on them.
4. While using any of the programs sometimes the device suddenly used to stops responding for 2-3 seconds.​
So I begin to ask myself, after all, what have we gained with new set of drivers???????????
And what is wrong with using a bit older drivers till we get a better and stable ones from HTC
So, here are my effort to:
1. Use 1.60 Set of drivers.
2. Remove 3D drivers (sorry bally3)
3. The XIP is all re-done. And the ROM is re-tuned.
4. Downgraded the Radio to 1.58.25.14.
Result:
1. The Prog Memory increases from 84 MB to mere 101+ MB
2. The Manila 2D sliding is butterly smooth.
AND
3. Most of the programs sould run now.
4. The device not stops responding any more.​
!!!!!!!!!!!!At least I am very happy and more satisfied now.!!!!!!!!
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- Remove SD card before update!
- There is no extended rom... JUST OS AND RADIO!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
-Downgrade your Radio to 1.58.25.14 or lower. (it is aleady a part of ROM pachage)
Installation:
Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and good luck.

Clean rom
Hi, the rom looks good. Any chance of a cleaner version? mainly without M2D, HTC keyboards, Cube.... rest of apps can be left cooked in since they don't seem to take much resources/space. But the ones I listed are toomuch for us other SIP/homescreenUI/SPB....etc. users =) I personally use TouchPal + HomeScreenUI to make the machine lighter and faster.
Great work!

After dump the rom (kitchen tool "imgfstodump.exe imgfs.bin") we get an dump dir with all the files in the rom so Beep developed a tool called "PKGTool.exe" to organize it creating the SYS and OEM directories what i get is in the picture attached.

This newest radios only work for 3.13 or 3.18 not for 1.60
You'll have to choose between speed, memory ram, stability that you get with this new rom or battery life and better phone signal (i haven't noticed better gps fix) from the "old" c_shekar 20931

Why do you hate the cube so much? There is so much of free memory now that you should not bother abt it anymore. Still if you dont like it you can very well disable the cube with change of only one registry key.

The radio needed for this ROM is 1.58.25.14 or lower. As I have already mentioned in the first post. Personally I have not found any significant difference in the battery consumption of the two Radios. So I never felt any pain in going back to older radio. I hope you too shall not find any pain either..

Please have HardSPL installed before flashing. You may sometimes get a bad flash, and HardSPL helps.
If you want to change the radio, it must be a 1.59.xx.xx radio.
GoogleMaps and Opera are both installed via built in Customization at startup. Please see the zip files included in each pack to see how you can add any other cab installation you want to your ROM on first boot. You must only know how to edit the config.txt on your storage card. Search up on this site and there's info if you don't know how.
The included version of GoogleMaps in the bundled cab is 3.0.1.6.
The included version of Opera Browser in the bundled cab is 9.5.15954. The version I provide is only in English. Find your own version if you want it in your language. It can handle Flash, but has been disabled via opera:config for smoother operability. Change back if you'd like.
TomTom is setup as default GPS Navigator in Footprints. Navitel, Copilot or Papago are also supported. NO OTHER GPS APPS ARE! Registry to change for people that know what they're doing is located in HKLM\Software\HTC\NaviSW.
Extended Notes:
For fellow cooks: Together with Cmonex (incredibly helpful, great person, and very knowledgable), I believe we've found a great solution for our devices. It took much flashing and hard-resetting to finally get it right. Now we can have the best of both worlds: the latest radios and kernel, while still maintaining 102MB of ram and smooth m2d scrolling. The only downside to all of this is that there's no compatability with 3d drivers.
Here's how to achieve this:
1. Use a rom w/3.xx drivers as your base for OEMDrivers and OEMXipKernel.
2. Copy ddi.dll and wce_pmem.dll from 1.xx OEMDrivers over the 3.xx ones.
3. Delete disptools. (optional, but helps anyways at least for space as it's unneeded)
4. Change MainMemoryEndAddress in nk.exe for more RAM. This can be done by searching for 38459FE530559FE5A13EA0E38224A0E3 with hex editor in S000 of nk.exe and changing 82 to 83 so it looks like this: 38459FE530559FE5A13EA0E38324A0E3.
Please give credit where it's due. *RANT ON* So many cooks in here don't actually try to better the device, only make a "best of" compilation of what other people work on to fix/port, then slap their name on it and ask for donations. If you'd really like to donate, do so to people that actually put effort into fixing issues, such as cmonex, or kitchen releasers such as bepe, or the hard-spl releasers, without whom none of this would be possible. My issue isn't with other cooks not trying to fix issues, but with them asking for donations when they didn't do anything except use kitchen tools.*RANT OFF*

Bugs:
Fonts are too big for your liking? Go to Settings/System/Screen/Text Size and set on middle for what you're used to.

Miss the old style scrolling? (slower, but has ability to scroll messages/sms, etc.) Install 3LIT3 TouchScroll cab attached.
StreamingMedia closes before playing video? Install 3LIT3 StreamingFix cab attached.
Want to change between EzInput keyboard layouts and change language? Install 3LIT3 EzInput Selection.cab attached.
Settings Tab on Manila2d missing softkey words? Disable TouchFlo in Today items then copy to your /Windows folder the file in 3LIT3 SettingsFix.zip attached.d.

Thanks for your effort m8, its always good to have another cook around Now just a quick question: have you tested any 2d/3d games on this? Do they work? I'm using udK's rom and its beautiful but a bit buggy.. Oh and if I install themes on this will they work ok or can u cook a Blackstone blue version pls?

Haven't tested any games on this at all, not really a game player, more of music/multimedia. I can include the htc-ca 3d drivers if they'd help with that, don't know of much use for them though. Do they get used in games at all, or is it mainly for testing demo d3d apps?? Installing themes will be just fine. The only issue on changing theme is the bottom of the location tab gets distorted. I could cook a blue version if more people request it. You mean the normal stock blue theme, like on udk's syrius?

I could cook a very lite version, yes. No extra apps. How do you choose what apps are included though. What is an essential app? Task Manager? Arcsoft MMS? Random Access? The Opal phone canvas? Hard to decide what is important and what's not.

Yes, forgot to update netcf to 3.5. Only 2.0 is included. There are cabs, or wait and I'll release a newer version.

please can you integrate on your next mage these special things:
1.) file explorer extesions (if some other programms open the explorer.exe then with this extra addons you can browse the structure of the hole file system - changing directory, viewing images, and so on...)
2.) also i have attached the pictures for dialer in black - i'm sure you will like it.
additinally - maybe you can add/change the m2d with weather patch. then it is also possible to load other standard weather cities - link is in xda-developers > General discussion > Development and Hacking

Here is black dialer from itje's ROM's (it's for Opal Phone Canvas).
I think it looks like pretty nice.
I'm not sure if u need some more files to integrate this into ROM. If so lemme know.

Hey thanks for this ROM so far it's working good. But i found 2 little bugs! After soft reset it hangs for a minute and than an error occurs! I think it has to do with SIPChange and the missing .net 3.5. I wanted to use the pocketcm keyboard and the "space"- key is not working! This is the first ROM i tried where this error occured!

tried this afternoon...
youtube not working even reinstalling, flash 7 or lite3.1 are useless with this cooked rom, fixed multipleselection in fexplorer but scrolling problems with flo (not manila) in menus.
not a significant increase in speed or usability with this builds (to me seems slower)
i'm sorry have to revert back to another rom

Important Notes
Radio Requirements: As this ROM is entirely based off 1.72, you can install any radio you want. I recommend the 2.09 versions.
The use of BSB tweaks is not advised on my ROM, as it will overwrite some performance enhancements and other settings with default values.
Most of the more useful tweaks are already included, and any others can easily be found and installed by CABs.
Users of HQ up to and including 1.54 are advised to install the HQ Special Patch (attached to this post) for the newest video drivers and best possible graphics performance. If you currently have a chainfire patch installed, remove it first.

Whats going on in the kitchen?
So you would like to know whats going on in the kitchen at the moment, well here are my ROM and non ROM related ramblings.
Date - 2/4/10
Things to do-
- Work with diego on new project (super special secret)
- Modify special project for HQ 2.16 levels of performance
Things im changing (cryptic clues)
- New Project - New name - New Chefs- thinking of ideas
Looking for new chefs to share development with, this seems to be becoming a sort of community project, which is really great
lost of stuff going on!

Just what is needed to keep the HD2 running as it should, a clean base to customise as one would like.
One of the quickest flashes I have witnessed, which is a good indication of what is missing
Up and running within 5 minutes and early indications show it to be fast and stable. Will customise to how I like and update on stability.
Love the reorganised start menu too.
One pointer - in the office mobile folder is a second folder titled "icon" that I believe should not be present.

yeah, i have noticed the "icon" icon, and honestly, i dont know what it was/is for, since in a basic 2.10 its not there but the office apps (and number of them) are the same.
it can be deleted in file explorer, btw EDIT- no it cant! i will look into this, but for the moment, just ignore, it wont cause a problem

i removed my location (see first post - i edited it after you posted cos i forgot )
i can cook it back in for the next build, no problem. for the moment, set you city manually and weather shoudl update just fine

Do you have the silly 'SMS sent' notification in this ROM? If not, I might give this a blast as I like my ROMs clean and stock looking

OK, just flashed it - first thing is the setup wizard doesn't kick in on first boot (after hard reset). Also, WMDC doesn't see it plugged in, whereas all past ROMs have...I'll continue on for now and let you know

OK, rebooted PC and WMDC connected so thats fine - not having the connection setup is weird as I don't know where all the different settings are but getting my head around it. And some icons look a bit blocky but it's quick

there is no first time setup wizard! (why waste 4mb of rom space just for a wizard that sets the time and date? )
WMDC? if you mean activesync my 3 computers (pc for cooking, work pc and work netbook) all see my phone running 0.71 when i plug it in!
EDIT: i see you mean the connection setup wizard? works just fine on mine! ?? did you mtty / hard reset? perhaps thats what you need to do?

Did a hard reset, always do, and as I flash without my SIM card in I like to set the phone up before putting it in. fair enough taking the wizard out - just trying to find all the settings!!

This ROM Series is now going to be offered in 2 versions, with the default build being the Standard Lost in Asia Look. With all standard icons and no other customizations other than some nice apps.
Then a New version called "Touch of GLASS". With all glass theme icons, clock, manila slider etc. This new theme will be made with new GLASS theme and Icons. See this Thread for more information.

First Let me say, Everyone has different taste. This is why we have so many different ROM's to choose from. Most all of the ROM's here are good and I find it just comes done to personal preference. Some people like black others don't, some like ROM's ready to go out of the box, others don't and want to configure themselves etc etc.
This ROM is made with some changes from the stock ROM. It uses the Latest MS builds and a few customizations. With some of my personal start menu organization. I like a clean start Menu. I have made some tweaks for speed and stability. I find that our HD2 is already plenty fast for any user so there is no need to cut up and gut out our ROM's to gain some small amount of unnoticeable improvement. I also like to give users the choice in how they like to configure there ROM which is why I use Preset Installer. There will be Many programs you can install from Preset Installer instead of having them built in. I have added a few apps, and a few removed. You can load them from cabs found here on XDA or Through Preset Installer. Or let me know and I can provide it for you.

NEW Rom Online
Which ROM is right for me?
Standard: Comes with most all software and apps and is ready to go after flash.
Standard is also a Full version of HTC Sense With all Languages included.
Standard also is good for users who wish to apply themes and or add and remove manila mods etc.
Lite Version: Rom is a light base ROM that can be customized to anyone needs through Preset Installer. This ROM is also faster because all the apps loaded after flash benefit from the Extendir performance increase.
Many of the stock and custom apps have been removed for installation through Preset Installer.
Manila is less than half the size of the ship ROM. More than 3000 files are removed from the windows folder with this version.
Manila is cfc compressed, and all Lang files except WWE are removed.
Manila mods are uninstallable, if you uninstall a manila mod you will have to reinstall manila again from Preset Installer. (Not a big deal only 2 min)

How to install?:
Copy the Extendir folder found in download to the root of your storage card. Flash the ROM as usual, Soft Reset, then go to th Start Menu and select Preset Installer. When Preset Installer comes up you can click next and install the programs or utilities you want by checking the boxes for each program. You can Also choose from one of the Preset Configuration if available for that version. Then Click next and then install. NOTE: A box with a bold check will install automatically to Device, if it has a faded check this means you will be prompted for install location. This is needed for programs that require user intervention like FingerKeyboard Google Mapsetc. Don't let device go to sleep during install!!. Device will reboot after installation. You can remove any of the programs as needed from the Remove programs in System. I have made some new .cab files with shortcuts to my Start Menu folders structure. So if you try to use these cabs on another ROM it likely will not work. Read the install instructions inside the Extendir folder. WARNING do not copy or redistribute any of the cabs found in my Extendir Folder. I name them with LIA to distinguish them as being modified for my ROM. Some of these apps are proprietary and can cause trouble if posted somewhere else.

I take it a release version of Extendir 2 is on its way?
EDIT: Was installing the most recent version of you ROM the other night, with the lovely new DINIK icons. Had an idea for the regular version - most of the icons from the Start Menu are stored as .png files in \Windows. Can you create an \Extendir\Windows\Icons folder and have them all installed in there? Much like the Manila folder, it would tidy up the main Windows folder a bit, and would also be easier to check which icons you have available (I copied over all of DINIKs icons so I can fill in any missing ones I have).

What is the Difference from the TMOUS ROM and my other ROM's?
First while my other ROM's will work just fine on TMOUS HD2 I have decided to make these versions more specific. Changes made are as follows:
1. I use all the T-Mobile settings, this includes wap, MMS, Opera default TMOUS setting and preferences, WiFi preferences,etc.
2. All phone related settings, for NLS, operator specific settings etc.
3. T-Mobile Active Sync Icon and settings.
4. Internet tab has all the original TMOUS shortcuts.
5. All TMOUS email account settings.
6. All TMOUS security certificates.
7. All Manila TMOUS specific settings like Weather cities, Fahrenheit degree, Time zone, etc.
8. Some more I can't remember just now.
The point is I want this ROM to be as close as it can to the original TMOUS ROM.
Which ROM is right for me?

This version is cooked specially for users who want a WWE ROM with CHS reading and input support. All the inputs work including Fuzzy Logic, and Handwriting in full screen, Pinyin etc. This ROM Also has a World Wide Wince.nls with All 5 regions of Chinese
CHT\WWE Version:
This version is cooked specially for users who want a WWE ROM with CHT reading and input support. It has all the Fonts and Inputs from Official Taiwan CHT ROM. Included are ZhuYin, PinYin, CangJie, Stroke, Full screen Handwriting etc. I have tested all of them and they seem to work but as I'm not able to read or type Chinese I'm not sure. The handwriting seems to work when I make strokes it suggest characters etc. This ROM Also has a World Wide Wince.nls with All 5 regions of Chinese.​

Known Bugs:
Theme not applied fully after Flash: Vary Rare but if you get a default background and the LIA Theme does not seem to be applied just change to another theme and back to LIA Theme, then soft reset and everything should be ok.

I followed the link to the theme and they are no longer working on it. How will it affect this rom development?

after a couple of tries flashing this rom it keep saying ROM is corrupted.

Yes the joint partnership has stopped. But there will still be development from Dinik and DJC, just not together. For the time being I will continue to use the theme as is and add new things as they come. This will not effect my ROM development.

Which version? They were all working. Did you get this during the flash or when unzip the file etc?

I have the same error on the preload but when I flashed the regular with cht at the first hour its very buggy (i followed the instructions carefully), it keeps freezing and locking so I end up reinstall it again but without the locker and its working fine right now.
BTW, how can I make the weather effects appear on the main window? I click on the weather animation icon and nothing happened.

Are you using the program 7zip to extract them? I use a high level of compression which may not be supported with some other extracters.
I can unzip them fine without errors. And if it was just 1 ROM I could see how it might happen but not all of them.

Also can you please when posting a error about a link tell me which mirror you are trying. I have 3 mirrors to each file. This will help me find a error if there is one.

Ok I will check it out

I just checked the file I uploaded and it is unzipping without errors. Can you check the MD5 on the file to make sure it is not corrupted? I can download the file but I can't see all 3 mirrors having a corrupted file.
Just run the MD5.exe and select the 7z file you down loaded and it should Match this number:5196B6FCD3784D325EC1DE5FCB57AE75
If it doesn't then it is a bad file.

I love the look of the rom i just wanted to know if your thinking of maybe bringing out a basic 6.5 rom?

I might, but the trend seems to be going to the newer OS. Before when the 6.5 was faster than the 6.5.x it was more popular. But now the 6.5.x is faster than the 6.5. Also the development seems to have almost stopped with 6.5

Ahh i see what your saying that makes sense i guess i am stuck in the past haha ill give your rom a try then maybe I can like 6.5.x
