Here's a link that I found on the Galaxy S facebook page:

This is exactly why I am member of xda, because shortly the devs here will be getting their hands on the full source code and we will have a workable ROM long before Sammy decides to NOT release the update.

I think this can be also useful if you need code from the other smasung mobile to analyze.
In case it is not useful or every one is aware we can ask this thread to delete.

[SOURCE] Samsung releases source code for AT&T GS3

AT&T Galaxy S III Source Code: http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=SGH-i747M
Hopefully this will kick start the effort for root, clockworkmod recovery, etc. - if we have to make device-specific tweaks to the work already done for the international GS3
Yeah buddy! Was so juiced when I seen this a couple days ago, should help those devs do their thing!

Source code + Dev Edition S3 possibilities

I am looking to buy a S3 and wondering if it's worth waiting for the developer edition to become available.
I understand that Samsung released source code for the Verizon S3 and the developer edition will have unlocked/unsigned bootloader. Does this mean it will be possible to take driver code from source for ICS and bake it into Jelly Bean code to give us CM or AOSP JB for S3?
Or, are there still legal/license dependencies to be able to build JB for Dev edition S3 just like the Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks!
