Gps navigation for Cyprus!

hey guys I tried copilot 8 and I am going to install sygic this afternoon. but I doubt it will have Cyprus maps, does any of you guys know a program with Cyprus support ?

There is a company that makes Greece and Cyprus specific maps for sygic called creative image.
Don't ask me if they are good though, you' ll have to try them out for yourself.
google creative image greece and you ll find them.

I heard from a friend that there's this app called IGO that works in Cyprus. He used to use it on Windows Mobile but after a quick google search it looks like its available for Android too!
Please try it out and tell me how it is

ok problem solved I found that sygic has Cyprus mqps and actually the whole program is awesome. thanks for any help

I also use sygic for cyprus but its been 4-5 days that is not working... what about yours?

I installed sygic on android but it doesn't have any Cyprus maps.. Did you get the maps from somewhere else?

i used to use iGO on my HD2, but now and after a desire, and a desire hd, i have a sensation. locations is the best GPS for android imo atm, but it has no cyprus maps, so i ve searched for another one. a friend who owns a desire uses sygic mobile maps 10. says he's satisfied but i ve witnessed it having signal issues and the maps aren't 100% up to date. so my question is, are you referring to iGO for android or windows ? if you 're referring to an android version, which one's that, and have you got the compatible for it cyprus map. i 'd be grateful if you could share it.

I used iGO in Poland and I must say that at least for me i t read lest accurate app. The best maps in my opinion has google maps, copilot and sygic aura/mobilemaps.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
Yes i was talking about the Android version. I have iGo 8 i think it is,with maps from 2010 so its fairly recent.

I`m using iGO 8.4.2.139242 with cyprus map, on HTC desire, works great.
Higly recommended.

Yes it works everywhere when you have internet access everywhere. But this is Cyprus. 3G network is too expensive and you cannot find free wireless just anywhere. I have been searching for Cyprus GPS for my Motorola Atrix 4G and i couldn't find anything. Even for paid software! Any ideas guys??

Sygic aura is the best for Greece...test it a little bit in holiday!!!

Yep. After a bit of meddling with languages maps and other files, I got it to work. For some reason though it's very slow at finding my location :/

Sygic Drive 2010 GPS Software (Anyone Tried)

As title states, has any one used this GPS software on the Desire????

Yes i´m using it and i find that it´s better than all they other Nav´s to Android.

Does it store on the sdcard or internal?
Does it have spoken stree names?

It store the app on the intern mem but the cards and so on, on the card. (like they other ones)

I've been using Navigon since i bought the desire and it's working flawlessly, gonna try this sygic drive

The software is pretty good.
A few Cons:
Low resolution - Blurry look on desire
No way to make it personal - no other colour settings, cars and so on.
Seam to have a hard time syncing contacts - cant navigate to contact in your contact book.

Just wait and see Sygic Aura! It's out now on iPhone with hardware accelerated graphics and it looks incredible. It's coming soon to the Android platform, but I don't know if it will be accelerated on that too.

Sygic 's not compatible on my Desire. The resolution is not compatible (it stays in a corner of the phone). Do you have a workaround for this?

I'm using Sygic 10 (v8.12) on HTC desire and all work ok... if i'm offline! It become very very very slow and unusable if internet connection is enabled!!!! Any way to fix this?

yep,this sw have support for 480x800,& NAvigon is gooood

copilot 8: is it my fault to update my phone?

Am going on a roadtrip vacation in 2 weeks and my only GPS navigator I have is what isnt working on 2.2
I guess you can say its my own fault to upgrade the phone´s OS, I can anytime reverse to 2.1...
But what really bothers me is they already have the iFon 4g version available!!!
So here I am looking for a quick and 1 step at a time solution. Whats the best nav out there thats good and reliable for Froyo?

Brut.all mod for Google Maps is pretty good, comes with word wide navigator and sd card map caching.

Navigon is free to install and they have a 30 day trial period with their full functionality so it should give you the time you need (unless your trip is longer than 30 days).
I got so fed up with waiting for Copilot to fix things that I went ahead and bought Navigon and have been pretty pleased with it.

It wont be that long :=) I am just so used to using copilot wherever I go (I am bad bad bad at figuring out the paths to my destination lol) I tried brut with navlauncher the voice that guides u around is really anoying as its not english where I live

Hmm my vacation starts in 2 weeks I may be lucky enough to get an upgrade! I am not a big fan of navigon thats why I used copilot. But we will see... thanks a lot for your inputs guys, really helpful.

Can you please tell me how I download the google maps so I can use it offline ?

I'm also å CoPilot user.

You cant. Thats the only downside.

New update is out for Android 2.2 compatibility. Either update through market or HERE.

Dear members:
I have Ndrive 11[gps software] in my galaxy s ,if you have any questions about it please feel free to ask away.
pros:
new interface, simplified
super fast gps lock ,less than 5 seconds!
Weather forecast
new share feature for facebook ,favorites,my location, etc
support for foursqare.
google places search within app.
cons:
The above features in blue text crash the app when trying to log in,not a deal breaker but never the less i would like it to work.
But compared to the versions that i have in windows mobile devices it is miles better.

I got it from the market after trying a test version ,and yes new maps, and you have to pay for it again.

Ok, thanks, maybe it'not still available in Italy...anyway, i really don't like this policy, it's not fair toward customers, I'm the only one?

it is available to Italy, just use the Ndrive word in the market not ndrive 11,
a list of contries\regions will come up.
about the facebook problem etc....
Ndrive support just told me that a fix will be out inthe coming days.
lucky for me a use ndrive 10 in other device, but it should be an upgrade option, i must stress that when i bougth the app it was not listed on ndrive website yet.

i see, this time main program is given together with maps...again they should give an upgrade option with a discount to whom already bought Ndrive 10 (in my case i bought all europe maps). i will not give my money for ndrive 11 to pay again for ndrive 12 and so on wtf. thanks for your answers OP.

To be honest the reason i got it is that Ndrive is the only gps software for android that offer the most features at the moment plus it is the only one that has maps for the island i come from, Madeira.
personaly a love Igo8 but so far is only available for windows mobile.
I also trying Aura sygic, now this software is allot more polished than ndrive but it does not have the google feature that i love in ndrive.

Sorry ... but IGo MyWay is available for Android. Try a search for "iGOMyWay v8.4.2.139242 for Android"

I've using NDrive (10) on my SE Xperia X10i since last summer.
I find the gui a bit clumsy, but still I think it's ok.
I agree with regards to their upgrade policy!

To be honest, I think this sucks! I was NOT under the impression that this was the case. In fact, since I'm quite certain I won't be using the same smartphone in a year, this is completely absurd!
What do you others think?!

That is a ridiculous policy and I'm not sure it is legal. When you buy software independent of hardware you should then have the right run it on whatever device you want. You should be allowed to reactivate the software when you get a new phone. I would never buy Ndrive if that is the way they operate.
I've tried Aura, Mobile Maps and Ndrive but the one i prefer is Copilot live, it just seems more stable than the rest.

Good, I'd like to know how to use the Ndrive folder on the SD, since many use maps, maps have 6GB of internal memory to occupy! Does elguem can help me!?

Not for me thanks! Too many adverse comments posted here and in Play store. In the absence of TomTom it has to be CoPilot Live for Android.

i want to find a gps app to run smoothly on my GS4 because the previous i had was crushing every 5 sec.
All i need it is to be offline and support UK maps

what app did you use previously?
i use sygic now, used it for a couple of months, it works pretty well except for some errors on speedlimits in norway and sweeden.
the biggest pro and con is the same thing in my case, they uses Tomtom maps :good: , but they charge a good price for the Tomtom maps.
