it's possible to create your own skin for fingerkeyboard, so you should be able to switch some keys...

Try this, it will give you åäö on the standard htc hd2 keyboard. If it doesn't work at first read the hole thread and get the nordic_xt9 cab that's in there somewhere.

Hope it helps. (you will loose t9 but gain åäö)

Swedish T9

Dont know if the magic has t9 but if it does it is possible do get it in swedish, or get an swedish layout on the keybord?? or atleast is it possible to write the symbols 'åäö' on th phone??
I assume Swedish language packs will arrive soon (rumour says the Magic will arrive at "Tre" in Sweden soon), and as for typing ÅÄÖ I assume it's the same as for Dream/G1; long press A or O for ÅÄ and Ö respectively.
will it be possible to update it to swedish then, or is this kind of phones hard to hack?? anyone whit exparience how about writing on these kind of phones in swedish??

Yes. Confirmed by a friend of mine in the UK. Long press = special characters, just like in 1.5 (cupcake) for the Dream/G1.

Landscape Sense 2.5 keyboard issue

Hi.
I have a cab which gives me a scandic keyboard (å, ä and ö with Fn + other key). It works fine when using my device portrait but when using landscape keyboard these letters don't work.
I have tried two different landscape 2.5 ROM's and both of them had this problem.
Do you have any ideas for me to correct this issue?
Thank you.
From what i recall sense 2.5 works bad in landscape mode, test a sense 2.1 rom.
OT: What cab are you using, I could have use of the å ä and ö too
Actually...
...there are working 2.5 senses around now.
The cab I use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524395

Siis mikä ei toimi?? Hardis näppis vai onscreen?
sry for answering in Finnish..
My slideout keyboard works fine with all sense 2.5 landscape releases..
here is my cab for it..
Thank you!
Hi.
I have problems with both keyboards. The "Scandic software keyboard" works fine in portrait orientation but it does not work in landscape orientation. Those Scandic letters disappear when in landscape. The hardware keyboard doesn't work either.
Thank you for the cab file. I give it a try.
Thanks - Kiitos!
I still got problems...
This cab gives me å, ä and ö letters from i, o and p keyboard buttons and it works ok BUT this cab breaks few Fn + letter functions. I do not have a Nordic keyboard and with this cab installed I can not write all the characters I see in my hardware keyboard.
Does anyone have another cab file to córrect my issues??

Im sorry to hear that, I automatically thought that you have a nordic rhodium..
Nope...
Yes, I have a "standard" Rhodium. I wanted it a.s.a.p. and those Nordic version were not available at the moment. Stupid me...
BTW: Does the Sense 2.5 use two different registry values to configure portrait and landscape keyboards??
No help?!?
Has anyone solved this problem or am I "home alone" again...?
Please, help me with this
How can I get my Nordic letters work with 2.5 Manila Landscape? Portrait works but landscape has a different keyboard layout?
Anyone???
Hi
For the hardkeys, let me recommend this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240
I'm not sure about the softkeys. I've been using all sorts of cooked ROMs in my Rhodium and all have had Danish letters in the softkeys, by holding ie. "a" I get access to "! à á â ã ä å æ".
Hope it helps you.
OK
Alright. I have tried this software but (I guess I am so stupid) I couldn't get those letters to work. How can I remap for example Fn+a = ä with this application?

[PROBLEM/REQ] QWERTZ keyboard

Hi everybody, is there a way to get a czech QWERTZ keyboard instead of QWERTY, which is really annoying me? I've found a few solutions, but I'm not sure, if those will work for 6.5. Thanks
I think you should consider yourself happy, if I want French T9 I'm forced to use that awful AZERTY instead of my QWERTZ...
fingerkeyboard 2.1? it got german qwertz layouts (or for other languages too, sure.. so many languages.. too many omg.. xD) and has qwerty layouts too.. i love it xD try^^

The normal keyboard has. You need to press and hold 'o' when you need 'ö'
and 'a' when you need å and ä.
OR you can install touchpal keyboard

No, not yet.
Just press and hold a and o to get å,ä and ö.
I'm also very interested in this... please post when it appears
There is a keyboard with swedish layout out there, I'm using it atm. The only issue I can see is that you have to "scroll" sideways to get the special letters. It's kinda the same thing as pressing and holding the letters. If you want to try it; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917886
