settings reverting back to default after reboot - myTouch 3G Slide General

So I have noticed a couple apps are reverting their settings back to default if I reboot the phone.
My Account will revert the alerts to default settings, only battery is turned on.
Internet reverts the order of bookmarks listed to newest added.
So far these are the only two I have noticed, but it is annoying none the less.

I haven't experienced any of those two yet... Have you tried a wipe?

I noticed the alerts changing on me last night, when the low battery alarm was going off on me. Checked the alerts settings, and it was reverted to default. The internet bookmarks I just noticed today, though I was scratching my head as to why google wasn't first on the list anymore. But after adding another bookmark this morning, and seeing it listed first I checked the settings.
It could be from running ADW.launcher, or it might be a bug in the software, not saving the settings.

Settings not sticking.

This seems to be a problem with Sense items, but I could be wrong. I keep changing my weather and my Exchange email to update every hour, and both of them keep reverting back to Manual as soon as I hit the back button. Any suggestions?
Never mind. I figured it out. If any one else had the problem, I had put the widget on the home page that lets you turn everything on and off from the same widget and had accidentally toggled one that stops all automatic syncing.

[Q] gmail issues?

Shot in the dark here, but on my original droid after the 2.2 update, half the time when I go into "gmail" I have to select which account I want to browse, despite only having one. I got a droid 2 last week hoping this would be remedied, same **** is happening. This never happened on 2.0 or 2.1, and I can't find anything on google, yes I realize its only an extra tap but its annoying and I'm worried it may be affecting my notifications.
I made sure task killer wasn't killing it and thus making it start over everytime, that isn't happening, I dunno
That is really strange. I am not having this problem with my Droid 2.
I get the same thing on the Droid2. It also happened on my Droid1 running Cyanogenmod 6 RC (i.e. Froyo).
So, it's a froyo-specific thing, not necessarily anything to do with the D2 itself. There's no rhyme or reason for me on when it happens either; sometimes I can go back to home and then back to GMail and it remembers the account, other times I get the stupid "pick account" screen. It's really annoying.
It doesn't affect notifications. Also, they actually enhanced GMail there, I think. You can have different notification settings for EACH Gmail account, so for 2 accounts you can use different sounds. The 2nd account will inherit the settings from the original account, but you can go in and change it and they are definitely per-account settings and not universal to all gmail notices.

Incredible Calendar/Email Syncing constantly

Phone battery is constantly dying. The sync icon on the status bar with the time and connectivity icons. I've tried setting sync icons, I've tried deleting the calendar, my work email, even facebook, rebooted the phone after each. Nothing helps. The up time and the awake time are always the same. This is an issue that just cropped up about three weeks ago. I have since switched to a completely new phone, rooted and installed Liberation ROM. This was also happening with rooted stock Froyo on the old phone. This is KILLING me. Can anyone suggest a more in depth tool to find what's causing this?
Figured it out. Facebook was syncing the live feed... what the hell facebook?!
Fix: Settings>Accounts and Sync>Facebook> Uncheck sync Live Feed.

[Solved] Contacts Won't Remember Display Setting

I've learned from bouncing around that this isn't normal behavior. My Contacts will not remember it's display setting. If I choose Menu -> Contacts to Display -> Google or anything else, the minute I leave the app it defaults to "All". Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Edit: Turns out there's some sort of conflict between Go Launcher and the Contacts app. When I'm using TouchWiz, the setting sticks. The minute I switched back to Go Launcher, the setting erased and Contacts uses All. Let them know and hoping for a fix.

Google Calendar (stock) firing notifications/alerts late or not at all !

Hi all,
I’m on an unrooted Marshmallow 6.0 MXPE with the May security patch. I use the stock calendar (Google - version 5.5.14-128688903-release) for appointments, reminders, etc. and only enter events on the phone itself (I don't log into a computer to my Google Calendar and send myself emails, so this isn't a "push notification" issue, if I have my lingo correct.) Anyway, my phone either goes off minutes/hours late or my phone doesn't go off at all, causing me to miss multiple appointments, etc. In my 7+ years with Android phones this has never happened to me, and my lousy memory cause this current issue to be a tragic one! I've tried using 3rd-party calendars as well (DigiCal, Today) and the same thing is happening. Here are some things I've tried:
1. I've selected Settings -> General -> Notify on this device and also de-selected it while using Google Calendar, and I also tried this setting even when using the 3rd-party apps.
2. On the MXPE I’ve gone into Settings -> Battery -> Battery Optimization and set Google Calendar (called just “Calendar” in this app list) and any 3rd-party calendar apps to “Not optimized”. I then tried setting EVERYTHING to “Not optimized” (trying to see if that made a difference despite the App Standby feature being basically nullified, if I understand that correctly).
3. I’ve cleared the cache partition on the phone upon re-boot.
4. I’ve downloaded and installed an app called Force Doze and whtelisted the calendar apps
5. I’ve used adb to use the script “dumpsys deviceidle disable” to disable Doze (albeit temporarily, since this would go away once the phone was rebooted) and this didn’t seem to show any improvements.
I’ve done hours of research online and remember reading somewhere that Doze will still kick in even if an app has been whitelisted. I’m not a programmer (although I’ve rooted past phones and am fairly tech-savvy) so I don’t know how to resolve this big issue. I’m not sure if factory resetting my phone would make a difference. Or do I root the phone so there’s a way to disable Doze altogether, if that is in fact the issue (after all, I would rather have a phone with lousy battery life and receive calendar notifications than miss them). One thing to note is that the Google Calendar app is a bit glitchy for me, such as when I tap the 3 bars at the top left to get to the Settings menu, and the app freezes nearly every single time. I don’t see a way to uninstall the Google Calendar app and re-install, if that would even help. The good news is that the app and all the calendars always sync with my Google account.
Nearly all the research I’ve done only shows people with the “push notification” issue where their wifi got disabled or something like that. My issue is different. Has anyone had any issues like mine and/or found a solution? Sorry for the longwinded post but I am at my wit’s end and wanted to list all the details.
