This is more of a query rather than just chasing cooked ROM's but does anyone know if HTC or anyone within xda-developers have WM ver 6.5 suitable for use with the HTC P6500 Sedna? I don't want to lose any functionality of the fingerprint reader, just would like to have new proggies and a fresher look as Ihave had my Sednau since 2007.

Hi. I am brand new to this site and have been reading for 3 hrs now. i have found a lot but still unsure how to solve my issue and get the right software.
i am hoping an experienced member can help me quickly.
I have a TYTN II and would like to get Touch Flo 2 (Manilla) on it. Thus I have 3 questions:
1. I want to upgrade to WM 6.1. Do I do that upgrade first via the HTC web site? Or does the manila upgrade include WM 6.1?
2. Does the installation of manilla include the OS or it is just as simple as installing a program?
3. Can u please point me in the direction of the latest stable version of Manila for the TYTN II without any fancy skins. I want the original skin.
4. And finally, i have an older MDA running WM5. Will manila work on it? Or is this asking too much?

1. You'll have to get it through the official HTC site.
2. Manilla is a 'skin' that sits on top of wm6.1, refer to the various threads for install instructions.
3. Currently release 19b, but be aware its no where near 'complete' - it functions but no way i could use it daily on my TyTnII.
4. Maybe. Probably not. Try it and let us know.

yes it works with TYTN II (also called kaiser) actualy it works 100% with some of the cooked roms you find in the Kaiser forum. and it's perfectly capable of day to day use. if release 19b is not usefull for day to day use then go for a cooked rom because all of them are perfect for day to day use.

I've tagged a couple other threads dealing with the ipaq data messenger (sly) too...really interested to see if anyone has toyed around with cooking a 6.5 rom with the latest builds for this device. like i said on one of the other forums..the trick is finding more than us who actually bought one of these...

I am looking for WM6.1 Prof or WM6.5 for my device as it is "only" WM6.1 Std. installed and some software will not work with this edition. Any ideas?

Well, the major problem I see with this is that your device has no touch screen. No touch screen, no Windows Mobile Professional.
You're wrong Windows Mobile Professional run on SPV C600 and this phone don't have touch screen but users must use fake pointer.

you all know how strange it might be some requests form your boss but this is the most strange one !
My Boss has a system that work on WM 6.5 only and doesn't work on WM 7 and he requested that I should Provide him with 40 New WM 6.5 devices !
you know that they are not available currently So I figured out that I should buy new WM 7 Devices and Flash it Back to WM 6.5 !
I think theoretically this is possible but have anyone tried it ?!!!

Your only choice may be a new 6.5 device, and not much else. The HTC HD2 is still available, here in the UK, it is now the only 6.5 device stocked by Expansys on their web site.
How much longer will they be around? What's HTC's roadmap for the WinMo HD2?
Flashing 6.5 over a Phone 7 device, is asking for an expensive error.

I know that HD2 is the Only WM 6.5 device that still Availble but the problem is that HD2 Doesn't have a QWERTY keypad and the system required a lot of Typing.
