i dont mind helping but not when they show no sign of atleast attempting it themselves
to be honest, i thought the request for help was a fair one. i have not been able to get this working properly either, and although a noob phonewise am pretty much ok pc wise.
snag with this site is that some people are very helpful, and others post arrogantly and pointlessly. if you dont want to help, just dont post.

its not what he asked for, its the way he asked for it, its just struck me as lazy and showed no sign of atleast attempting it himself.
perhaps so, but would it not have been better to find out levels of understanding first? perhaps the howto guide is not in their first language or something.

Look I wasn't trying to be rude so don't get off with your tone. I'm not going to cuss you out and I was merely trying to explain that you could take the time to do what you asked someone to do. I don't think I know it all but also know if you try a little you may end up surprising yourself.
You see how a little more research yielded the results you were looking for? You basically proved my point. Am not and was not trying to be sarcastic. That's as far as I'll explain myself and keep it civil.

Could you please recheck the link as it doesn't work?
While you're at it, could you maybe check your tone as well? Not sure you needed to go off like that, but maybe you're having a really bad day. I've been there before and do sympathize, but maybe try to blow off steam in private and not in a public place where it will bring down everyone else. Feel free to cuss at me for writing this if that will make you feel better, PM would be fine.

Im not sure how i proved your point when someone else i.e NOT ME has provided a more detailed way on how to do this.
If i could have done it i would have and also posted how to do it for anyone who might be interested. The same way that i did for the example i gave of how to stream p2p Tv.
Guys play nice and dont anger my partner in crime. there are some detailed instructions into how to do this and u could of just pmed me and i could of made a cab for this. would of saved the flaming.

hey no problem...I do understand..as many of us do...however that being said...I also can relate to "clogged forum syndrome" and noob "bottle necking"....to some people what you did amounts to walking into a building full of restrooms and immediately you ask which one is the mens room?......flaming is a way of bashing someone online for doing or not doing something that should be obvious to most....there are some who would essentially light you up for the question you posted because there is a seperate thread for wing roms and it appears you did not look for or at it before asking....still if you have never been to the thread and dont know exactly how to search how would you know?.....so take this info with a grain of salt and remember how it feels even after you've been here a while....and perhaps you'll get to explain to the next noob how it goes in the community....all good hope you found what you're seeking......

Don't follow that previous link in this thread. That was for HTC Wings, which is completely different than the T-Mobile Wing. What you want is the HTC Herald forums (Herald is the manufacturer codename for the Wing). Hope that made sense.

if you download the packages from herg you will have some bugs
i advice you to use the rom from joshkoss cause there's working all + htc youtube
if you're going to use a custom rom please go sure that you've readed the stickys before

search within xda for tf2d and install the cab from the phone directly its rather nice

i saw on youtube of people who have managed to replace the Windows OS alltogether on the HTC HD2 and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for going from Windows to Android.
preferably with a self installer as im not the best with this kind of thing.

1) they don't really have enough or reliable information to give you an exact answer.

And with that attitude, I'm pretty sure nobody's going to help you. Developers DEVELOP, they have no time to waste on people like you asking individual help in between updating their ROMs and their personal life. You seem to be taking it as an insult, when it really isn't. I'm not a newbie, but if I asked a developer to teach me how to do something do you honestly believe they would do it having refused you? No. You're lucky, two people have already provided you with solutions whilst many threads just go unanswered. Stop whining, start searching and appreciate the help you've gotten rather then complaining that developers refuse you.
It is possible to have the soft keys like in ics in a GB rom...check out xylos cyanmobilex1.0 rom ..it has them...probably request xylo how to make it

Apologies sir but its not an attitude, I think u r also one of them; I'm just asking help to development like others do. I think purpose of xda is to share ideas and knowledge. I'm not complementing anyone its true as you said they don't have time to waste on me. But I sked them becoz they knew abit development.
