Why does it have to be ebay? Fraud is just as likely on ebay as it is on a forum. Doing a trade without ebay is much better, no ebay fees, no paypal fees, the price is normally better for the buyer, and less hassle for the seller.

it all depends up to u. it depends what mobile phone orange will offer you as a trade in. if it is a good choice like te htc desire or sony ericsson xperia than defo trade in. but, like i mentioned in my previous post, it may be worth putting on offer on the marketplace form. there are many ppl who will be interested i buying a snapdragon phone and even still, some ppl will think £190 is not a bad price.

tbh, i am not sure. you probably will and to phone up orange and ask. if anything, you night probably have. To pay MOREffor the desire and trade in,,, as the device is very probably and a better device than the TG01 in the general opinion of ppl.

i gave orange a call and they said to me that you cant get another phone. but informed them that i dont want the phone becuase this will be my 3rd TG01. so he said 2 me that he will inform the billing team for more details.
are you aware of anyone receiving another fone instead of the TG01

Nah that offer was for a limited number of units and some guys thought smart and bought 20-30 units and are selling them for over 170 pounds each. I'm talking about new ones in their boxes. When I bought mine for 185 the guy had 10 more phones and after a week or so i ordered a second one from the same seller for a friend of mine that saw it and got jealous , and there were 2 last items for sale. if you phone orange with your tg01, you will just get another tg01, i have tried for a week to get a new handset and i have had 3 tg01's. orange are not replacing them with the hero/desire/xperia or anything

Now that I have sold my HTC Universal for $600USD, I wait to buy the HTC Athena. HTC Athena will be marketed in early-mid march. It is known as the T-Mobile Ameo or the Dopod U1000. Price will range from $650USD to $1000USD? If I am correct I think its competitors (well personally I think that Athena is no way comparable to this garbage f***ed ) are going to be Apple iPhone and O2 XDA Flame. Not really i think the price i offer is pretty descent for a pocket pc only. I dont want any addons. Just a plain vanilla. Since with all addons it costs 600 pounds then maybe 400 pounds without addons? or maybe i have to wait longer?

I have just received a brand new o2 XDA Exec today (insurance replacement) and do not need it as I have now replaced my xda with something else so before I go down the ebay route with stupidly high ebay fees, scammers etc I thought I would offer people here the chance to buy it.
All I have done since getting it at lunchtime is charge the battery fully, checked it is unlocked with 2 different UK sim cards (it is!) and left everything else in their respective wrappers.

It is BRAND NEW and they are still £500 or more new (if you can get hold of one!) so make me an offer and we can take it from there...
Another guy on here is selling a used one with a GSM / 3G fault for £195 btw so something above that would be a good place to start. I can also throw in a 1GB sd card if you need it too but I imagine you already have everything if yours has only just broke!

Mine Dopod900/Universal has just died.
195/200 pound or about SGD600 for a Universal is really a steal. I would be glad to have it.
I bought it at 3 times the price here in Singapore when it was out 2 years back. It is selling in Singapore about SGD100 more than the rest of the world when it was launched here just to have a local warranty, which gives me a lot of problem.
But, although yours has a warranty, in case of problem some months down the road, it would be a big problem for repair sending back to UK.
I hadn't thought about sending it overseas due to all the scams etc but if someone wants me to send it overseas then I will find out how much the postage is.

I have PM'd people who are interested and think I can send the xda exec via UPS or similar internationally ok.
If the buyer is UK based the xda will be sent via Royal Mail special delivery which includes insurance and gets to you next working day by 1pm.
I have sent my ebay id to those interested so you can check my details etc but please note no matter whether you are a UK or international buyer the money will need to clear my end BEFORE I send the xda as there are too many scammers out there.

Considering how long ago the HD was launched I can't imagine that it will sell for top dollar.
the highest offer i got on my HD that i recently put on ebay was 475 plus 20 shipping. I relisted because i want at least 500 for it.
I sold mine is feb for $690 on ebay and bought an iphone. You will get enough for an iphone for sure (at contract price).
Will buy the new iPhone 3GS regardless of whether I get good price for my HD or not. Will also keep my iPhone 3G 16GB for my family. Everyone of them wants me to pass to them.

You shouldn't have a problem selling it for at least £350... I was monitoring the HTC HD up till 2 weeks ago (I got mine last week, finally got it under contract from O2) coz I was thinking of getting one without contract..
All the phones were going for above £300, even the ones where it's been 'used' for a week or a month...

lol, I've used the iPhone 3G for some months and now I'm back to the Touch HD and probably won't get an iPhone again (at least I definitely won't get the 3GS, I'm waiting for the Samsung i8000 or the Acer F1).
The iPhone is still way too limited. At least it's got copy&paste and voice control now but the camera still sucks, it still can't download things from the internet, the display resolution is still bad and lots of other things that were disturbing me.
Unlike the iPhone, my Touch HD does everything I want (except for good pictures in low light) and there's no situation where it lets me down because Windows Mobile is limitless.

I was hesitant after bad reviews whether or not to get this bad boy, but after reading countless positive opinions on this forum I have decided to take the plunge. My only question is, do you guys think it's safe to get it off eBay for 400$au? Im in Australia and bought mine through Ebay for AUD $398 about 2 months ago so that price is right. It came from Hong Kong, it works perfectly, im heaps satisfied with it and there are no faults.
Also to let you ease your mind dude, they are unlocked so they work with any Australian mobile network and also when purchasing the phone make sure you get the R800i xperia play model as these ones work on all of the Australian network bands for mobile 2G, 3G etc.
Another thing also like someone said before, Ebay offers their protection program and if you use paypal they also offer their own protection program so you are pretty much covered if somethings goes wrong.

the r800a runs on telstras 3g network, not the r800i, and it costs a fair bit more to buy but is worth it imo for telstras far superior network(least where i live)

280-300? Geez, that's a bargain! I saw that rose guy (or girl) on eBay but Aussie price is 385, still a good buy, just wanna stop at HK first n see if I can haggle a bit with the locals

just be careful, mate. no offense to anyone honk kong related...i was based there for 2.5 years mind you...but a mate of mine dropped by hk recently. he bought a brand new xperia arc and haggled for a lower price. the seller took out 150 bucks from the phone. phone was working fine but when he got back to melby the phone stopped functioning.
if you're going to hk, try getting the phone in tsim sha tsui (kowloon). specifically, ocean terminal (right beside the ferry and bus depot). there's a building there called star city. second floor houses the best electronics from reputable stores. or, there's something similar in wan chai (hk side). but personally i prefer the one in kowloon as the one in wan chai can be a bit dodgy regarding some stores.
im not sure what country your in but if your not in australia you may have to pay import tax which will boost the price
Thanks for the advice guys, ended up getting it from wanchai paid 340aud so pretty happy, it is a wicked phone so far n I havent even rooted it yet! Need some help with but I asked in another thread and am googling as I type thanks again guys, looking forward to exchanging info once I suss it out.
