For whatever reason i just got my HTC yesterday and i was able to sync my Twitter, Flicker, But For Whatever reason i cant sync my facebook i keep getting connection error when i try to updated my friends list to the Friend stream, then when i tried to get my friend list from the actual facebook app and i keep getting a (error api 18) HELP>>>>>>Please.....

I still have the stock EVO as I purchased it Friday morning with no OTA update. When I setup Facebook for the first time I was able to sync my Facebook contacts. Now, I don't see that option and my Facebook contacts don't show up anymore in my People list. I still have my G1 (that I just handed over to my anti-techno wife) and I setup Facebook and the script to modify it to sync Facebook contacts. Do I do the same thing on my EVO and run the same script in order to make the Contact Sync available?
has anyone else who uses windows live for their contacts install essentials beta on pc then developed problems with contacts sync? error message saying there was an error please try again, especially after a sync then going into a contact then edit. like a problem updating contacts? its doing my head in. i setup a new live account and no probs saves everything including htcdata in notes bit for facebook profile links
I finally got Facebook to sync with my Vibrant, but what's the point of linking with your contacts if you can't message or view someones profile from their contact name? I was able to on my N1 am I just not looking in the right spot?
anyone know?

How did you get them to sync? I am still unable to sync my Facebook contacts. Setup up the sync just like on other android phones. Thanks.
I have noticed that this phone has some issues with syncing info from facebook and twitter at times. The best way to confirm this is to go to your "accounts & sync" settings and see if any accounts have failed to sync. There is another issue which could be happening. Depending on how your individual contacts have set up their facebook privacy settings, you may or may not be able to see their info. Since facebook's recent security debacle, they have included a lockdown option for all applications and websites. Many facebook users have since opted not to allow any external apps to use their info. If that is the case with one of your contacts, you will not be able to see their stuff using your contacts no matter how you've set it up. So it's completely dependant on how your friends set up their privacy in facebook. This is why you may notice you can see some peoples photos and not their status updates or visa versa. If you have not allowed facebook to use external apps and websites in your own facebook account, you will not be able to sync your phone with facebook at all. Go to the facebook website and make sure you have allowed use of platform applications in your privacy settings. Sorry for the long reply but there are a few factors working together here. good luck.
My People pictures/contacts/information are syncing properly...sort of.
I have it checked to only sync contacts of those I already have in my phone, but people still show up when I'm composing an email or message in the auto-complete? Intended?
Also, in settings for email & accounts the Facebook one always says, "Attention required". But everything still seems to be quite up to date?

I have a question,, My Samsung Galaxy S phone has Froyo JP5 2.2.1 I have set my Facebook account at Samsung Social Hub at first sync program gets my contacts and all facebook data as profile photos status updates etc, than I want program to sync data in 3 Hour.
But I figure out that program sync all datas regularly but not facebook profile photos, what ever I have done ( recreate my account, Erase all data and start over) Its always gets the first time than not sync photos.
anybody can help me?

I must be really dumb as I cannot get Social Hub to do anything worth while. I have Twitter, Facebook and my Google account set up but all it ever shows me are my SMS messages. Not a clue what I am supposed t do.
