So which version is the right version for TMOUS from your link?
There is none.
I got mine on the 22nd, Tmobile US (tmous?)
How can I check if I have this rom?
"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."
That's the error you get if you put in a TMOUS HD2 S/N #.

Yes... from the UK HTC website...
the point here is that tmouk is a different model than the tmous. the radio, rom sizes and base drivers will be the 1.x series and not the 2.x series the tmous device needs.

Because most people don't read. They don't actually know that they are risking it (even though most tutorials in both HD2 sections state in bold red letters to make sure that the device type is the correct one.

Sometimes people need to be told because they are unable to learn the basics before "trying stuff" from an "Developers" website.
I know they should be doing the research but it only takes a line of text to clear it up. I know it's can be quite daunting when you first hit the site and trying to find out exactly the answer to your question takes time.

There is a website claiming to have the red back cover, dunno if it's real tho, and if they will send that version. PleaSe see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=582868

yeah saw that already - don't want the PRO.THREE, just the retail one...ah well, have to keep an eye out!
I posted the message to them, and this was their reply:
"Dear Mr. Koop, Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Center.
Your questions and suggestions are important to us and we do all that we can to provide you with an excellent service.
You recently wrote us about an issue with your HTC HD2.
The US HD2 devices that have more memory are T-mobile branded devices.
T-mobile has chosen to upgrade the devices with more memory.
This is not an option HTC is providing. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Best regards, Ginette P HTC"
I wonder how easy/hard it would be to do the same to ours???

Well, there are two kinds of memory, yes? Read Only Memory, and Random-access Memory. The T-Mobile Hd2 Internal Memory: ROM 1GB; RAM 576MB.
So, technically I do not think you can accuse HTC of being not factual in their reply. As far as I am aware, the search for 1GB of ROM on the European and Asian HD2 has not been successful.
I have seen nothing that has proven to me that the HTC branded HD2s have 1GB ROM.

changing rom is totally un connected to the sim being network locked, so as you found out changing rom does not unlock the phone.

Unless you are intent on running many memory heavy apps at the same time, the extra RAM is pretty much unnecessary.
I run lots of programs- many of them quite heavy on RAM, but usually close one before opening another, and I've never run below 100MB free RAM, even with iGO8 running minimised.
Now, the ROM is a different matter- but little chance we will see any more without serious pruning to the ROM itself.
So if you're happy with the ROM you are on, stick with it!
I only see Flipz releasing new Radios. Does anyone else release them? What all do you use and think you get the best single? Does anyone use the stock one?

I have tried stock, the 2.42 latest, and now the 2.32 Verizon radio. I spend most weekends in a Verizon area roaming, and found the Verizon radio gave me more reliable 3G connectivity. The 2.42 radio while roaming on Verizon dropped out every now and then. When I am back on Sprint, the 2.32 Verizon radio works fine and I don't really notice any difference.
(btw I am hoping I got the versions correct!)
I am getting worse signal and speed after I flash Flipz newest Radio. Is there anyway I can go back to the stock one I had?

I flashed a new radio and I noticed a big connection increase. Then a newer one came out so i flashed it and it sucked. Then flips released a even newer one, but it was an older version radio and Its been the best radio iv had, huge increase. Me personally just south of dallas can tell a big difference between some of the radios.

You always seem to know a lot of info, do you know what the move dalv to SD in the recovery does? Ive been searching and can't figure it out.
I know some people who have a PRO THREE (Prototype Leo) here on the forum. Ofcourse they won't say they have it . Some of them are stuck on the 0.67 ROM and can't update to a newer one. Flashing HSPL also does not work cause SPL MFG 0.67 blocks it.
Here is the solution: RUU_Leo_Radio_20090818_transition.exe
This file was sent by HTC to the testers, so they would be able to flash ROM 1.01 or higher. But not all the testers got this solution. So that's why I'm posting it here.
So if you have a HTC PRO THREE and want to flash current ROMS, Enjoy
1. Install this radio
2. Flash Stock ROM
3. Flash HSPL
4. Enjoy
http://xdafil.es/HD2/Test/RUU_Leo_Radio_20090818_transition.zip
1.xx, 2.xx, 3.xx al work on the PRO THREE, and you won't loose ur Security Unlock The RAM stays at 320MB, The Retail LEO had 128MB RAM module extra places in them.
thanks @moo...
I wish my device was stuck and needed this solution, LoL lucky [email protected] haha

I have a telus htc vogue with a broken screen, anyone know where I might find one? Out of pure boredom i would like to get it working.
Unfortunately they don't seem to have parts lying around for this device these days. A peek through craigslist showed that there are used htc touch's out there anywhere from $40-100 depending on the condition. Because the screen is one of those unwarrantied things that likely are expensive to repair/replace, I'm guessing it's almost better to replace?
