Does n7 really need a screen protector?

Been using the n7 for days now. Got a case for it, but do you guys think I should get a screen protector too? I mean its already scratch resistant corning glass right?
Thanks.
I have had mine for a while with quite heavy use and don't have so much as a scratch. It should be fine if you aren't too reckless but it all comes down to preference.
It is important to not that my case raises over the edges, protecting the screen when face down.
I don't think the Nexus 7 uses Gorilla Glass, but it doesn't seem to scratch easily.

Noted.Thanks.
( limited to 8 thanks a day,sorry)
The Nexus 7 uses Corning Glass which is more resilient than Gorilla Glass I have read. I use a screen protector anyway.

Corning makes gorilla glass. I imagine they are similar.

Scratch on nexus 4!! Heart broken!!

Guys, I got my nexus 4 a few days ago any it's been awesome!! Today I dropped my phone any it got scratched!! The scratch is slightly noticeable when the screen is on and very bright! I can also see a rainbowish effect (very very small) when the screen is on!! Is there any way to hide this scratch!! Please please help me out!!! Thank you!!

Please ignore the typos!

Don`t think you can hide it with a screen protector, but you could try. Maybe it will look a bit better. Best way would be to have the screen replaced. Didn`t you use a case or bumper? It is a glassy phone proned to shatter on impact.
Did you even try Google? If it's not as bad as the one in the linked guide, just cover it with a scratch protector and you won't be able to notice it.
Alright, I am using a poetic borderline with my nexus, I ordered a nillkin screen protector... Hope it works!!!

Okay, the screen protector turned out to be matte and it just made the scratch look worse. Ordering a wet install screen protector soon.. Any idea if they will work?? I can feel the scratch when I run my finger nails over it and it is clearly visible outdoors!!

[Q] Replacement parts

Hey all,
My Nexus 4 recently had a run in with some concrete and I've shattered both the front glass and the back glass on the phone. I've lost touch response below the crack running horizontally across the screen.
I'm assuming I not only need both faces of glass, as well as a new LCD to recover touch response in that area. Does anybody happen to know a good place to get parts for it? (read also: as cheap as possible without getting a garbage product)
EBay.... I bought my screen for about $90 it was the real one and high quality

Best screen protector?

Hiya, i recently brought a used galaxy s4 from ebay, the seller said he had it for under a year and used a screen protector on it.
When i recieved it the screen was very smudgy after using it for not very long, and these fingerprints are hindering the great display tbh, im pretty sure the oleophobic coating has worn off!!
What would be the best solution regarding this? Would it be best to get a screen protector? If so, which one is the best?
Thanks alot
Darren

I've heard all the tempered screen protectors currently available for curved screens are crap. I'd rather have that when a good one comes out.

From what I've read most curved glass screens require additional duct tape to hold it in place...and because they don't have any glue in the middle, it doesn't really contact the screen itself, ruining touch sensitivity.
I had a tempered glass on my s6+ it glued just fine but is it worth using

I think we have a misunderstanding between two Puerto Ricans. I meant the screen protectors that are applied using the wet method. I did not say my fingers are wet.

I put a Skinomi screen protector on mine yesterday. It goes on wet. Before this I've only used tempered glass but there isn't any good option for the Note 7 yet. I'm surprised to say that I'm happy with the Skinomi. It hasn't effected touch sensitivity or the pen, and feels good.

Are you using a case with it?
I've got a clear Ringke case that was 99 cents as a preorder. It just barely touches the corners of the screen protector. Doesn't seem to be pushing it up after a few days.
Had the Skinomi on for one day. Applied perfectly with no bubbles or lint or anything in a steam filled bathroom and then let sit for a day. Shortly after putting the case on, started bunching up on 2 corners and this was the case friendly film I might add. Next day I broke down and went to ATT store and put the curved plastic protector they had there. Better than nothing and plays well with my case.
Problem with that is not every case is the same. Sounds like your case goes farther up on the screen than mine. Which case had issues with the Skinomi?
