I've just tried but it says: 'sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device'.

Two files:
_HTC HD Mini_SetupSpriteBackup_HTC_6.5.3.113_ECHSCHTJK.exe
_HTC HD Mini_PHOTON_hTC_Asia_TW_6_5_3_516_20100304_signed.exe
And one for PC and one for mini.
I tried but I couldn't download.My serial number is not suitable for that region.Can you post the exe files?
I'm from China,I know Spb backup is suitable for HD mini.
I also need this software!!
Correct Serial Number for HTC downloads
Perhaps you should try entering the S/N located under the battery, instead of the one showing on the Phone Identity screen. In my case, the one on the screen was producing download error msg. The one printed inside got me the downloads. Why are they not the same? Go figure.
I use Spb backup and it works fine

Here's some concrete work from the IMEI update project.
Please use the attached file and report your findings here.
Instructions:
1. Extract the ZIP
2. Run the file iWizard
3. Make sure ActiveSync is running and your phone is connected via USB
4. Make sure Windows Mobile has finished booting
5. Click "Next" in iWizard, let it work (shouldn't take more than 10 seconds)
Let us know:
1. If iWizard worked:
a. The model of your phone
b. The IMEI # and checksum codes if you like (you can PM for your security)
2. If iWizard failed:
a. How it failed
b. Any error messages, or screenshots of failure
c. The model of your phone

I tried this a minute ago.
My qtek 9100 is connected to my pc, can synchronise with active synch but I received the error message I attached.
I have spv m500, its synchronized with my pc, but I recive the same error as canstb said...

I was thinking that my qtek9100 was cid unlocked apparently it was not. I used the tool lokiwiz v2b to unlock it and ran your program again.

Guys, I think you should PM Sinan rather then publically posting your IMEIs.
As we all know, cloning and changing IMEIs may be illegal in your jurisdiction; additionally, publically posting your IMEI is liable to end up with it being cloned by thieves not from this board etc. Not wise, so be careful, and please stay legal.

Yes, can you please PM it? Also, did the tool accurately detect your real IMEI?
Everyone, please PM your IMEI and checksums for security...or if you're not comfortable with that, please just say if the tool correctly detected your IMEI on your phone model, and report the phone model.
aWizard/Lokiwiz can be used to CID unlock phones, available here on this forum as well...pretty easy to find and use them, they're free tools as well.
You may need to downgrade your ROM first...
i used lokiwiz to unlock my device, now some other message appears, here is the pic... and the program doesent stop, it tries to find imei, but it seems like it will never stop...

Was the unlock successful with the CID unlock tool?
I think you may need to downgrade your ROM and CID unlock your tool first.
According to what I've read in another discussions, this tool would work only on devices that store IMEI on DOC chips
These are - nearly all smartphones produced by HTC, and communicators like HTC Wizard and Prophet. The tool would never work on HTC Himalaya, BlueAngel, Universal, etc.
You can easily determine would the tool work on your device or not. Just take the ROM update tool, extract it with WinRAR. If it has the file "radio_.nbf" - the tool would not work at all.
The tool should not be called "HTC IMEI Restore Wizard" as it does not support all HTC devices. It should be renamed to something like "HTC IMEI-on-DOC Editor tool".

it is easy to determ which models work, just buy all the HTC devices and try yourself and you will know. I am doing same thing, since i don't want risc affect any of the users phones.

Rascal you sound like a baby. We should try to help each other, not put each other down. And remember business is business! You couldnt have thought that you would be the only person that could provide a imei repare tool forever!!
Maybe now you will drop the price of your dongle or even better, make the program work without the dongle!!
Hopefully the release of mimar's tool will drive you to produce better things.
AFAIK the Wizard has a radio rom file, doesn't it? I've used the tool on my Wizard just fine.
Raskal, tale the suggestions of our good friends here - update your obsolete sales mechanism, get rid of the pkey dongle, that will probably be the only way for you to remain competitive.

The spv M500 is a Windows Mobile 2003SE device. As far as I am aware this tool is for Windows Mobile 5 devices.

you can install CE-Star for u can use chinese font on you ppc.
connect your wizard with computer and install the CE-Star. then copy crack file to install on your ppc. then u will see the CE-Star word (Zhong) become white. it means cracked already or it will appear with black. if u continue using without cracked, some days ur wizard will error with sms.

Downloaded the hotfixes for the Touch HD from the HTC site but everytime I try to install them I get the message that it's "not a valid Win32 application". What gives? BTW I'm on Vista...

Transfer the Hotfixes to your Touch HD by using a standard USB cable or the provided one and set it to Data Transfer mode, put them anywhere and use the file explorer to open them on the device itself.

You have forgotten to mention was happens when "it doesn´t install a cab". Is there any error message?
There´s no need to wait for WM6.5 as cabs are installable even under WM 6.1.
Btw: I don´t think you will ever get any official version of WM 6.5 for Blackstone by HTC and cooked ROMs with WM 6.5 are available right now

Going to ask a basic query here, but I'm assuming you are trying to open cab file directly from your HD and not on your pc, yes? All cabs files need to be transferred onto your HD first and installed directly by using your file explorer to navigate to saved location and clicking on it.
As stated by Matthes42 above you do not need wm6.5 on your device for this to work. It should work fine on wm6.1
If this is what you are doing and its still not working can your provide the error message you recieve. Also, make sure you have .net framework 3.5 installed on your device.

Bad ID means that the rom isn't matching the region of the phone. Sounds to me like the CID got corrupt. You need to create a goldcard, and with that, you can write any rom from any region onto it - just like if it were hardspl'd.
I'm typing this on my phone, but look on here for instructions on how to make a goldcard: you'll need psas,google it. I own it, and can generate you the files for your sdcard's serial number..

it fails at 1% when trying to install from ruu - pc
with sdcard at the begining - loading... and then shows error 00058002

This will only work if you have another windows mobile phone that you can put your card into. Put your card into that phone and connect it to activesync.
Run Rev Skills and select: Menu- Hardware Forensics- WINCE SD Card Utils and select 'get serial and disk ID'
When you get the disk ID, PM it to me or foil and we can generate the goldcard image for you.

Except that even mythical gold cards are device dependant, so it will look at the corrupted devID on line one of the bootloader screen and say "this isn't a hd2" and stop.
