HD Mini.. Help Pls... - HD Mini General

i used "AE Button Plus" on Diamond 1 and it worked great. but it doesn't work anymore on HD Mini. any idea why?
my HD Mini is english version. if i set my location to Hong Kong, google map & opera will switch to chinese menu. but if i set my location to USA, 2 mentioned apps also will become english menu (which is what i want) but then all calls will be in "(123)456-78" format NOT 12345678. how can i just set all apps to english menu yet calls will display as 12345678 format?

you can use the Unregistered version just fine, i believe it also gives you an ability to type in those languages, just by changing the keyboard input

my phone ROM version is 1.14.401.3(22273)wwe
wat should i do?are these good enough resons to send it back and request a proper version?
Thank you
First, it would be helpful if we knew your network and ROM. You can try to reconfigure your network settings using the AT&T's settings for the HTC Fuze on www.wireless.att.com in support (assuming you are on AT&T). My default config had passwords for MediaNet that were not needed. It messed up MMS, and slowed Internet connections.
Second, Google maps can be downloaded from www.google.com/gmm. I had to use IE to download because Opera 9.5 did not allow Google to recognize the device. Also, Live Search is a good alternative.
Third, there is only one Keyboard really available and it is the HTC software keyboard. T9 is a toggle on the software keyboard between ABC and T9. Simply tap it once.
thanks man for the anwser.....its my first winndows mobile so im little confused
one more question.......i cant seem to be able to put my mp3's as ringtone....wen i go setings and sound in touchflow and i click ringtone the only ringotones that apear are the default ones.....how can i set up mp3's as ringotnes....

Language Support

I think the xperia x1 is english version. But I use opera to browse the chinese website, it will not show the characters. Is there a plugin or software I need to install in order to view those chinese characters, I heard about CE-Star, but will it affect other programs on the device?

Two issues...

1. Is there a way to import my bookmarks into Opera by using Opera Link?
2. Is there any software available that will post notes to the Home tab, kind of like a Post-It note?
Thanks
Use opera mini instead. Then all 2 issues can be dealt.
How does Opera Mini add Post-It Notes to the home screen?
Also, how can I set up Opera Mini to be my default browser? (I'm using Dutty's ROM)
... And I can't login to my Opera Link account on Opera Mini?
Bump for some help, hopefully
Dunno about option 1, but as for 2 have a look through www.handango.com and the like for today screen apps/utils could be something there that atleast work with wm pdas so should work ok (again yet TBC, still waiting on handset - [expletive deleted] [expletive deleted. . .] [you get where this is going  ] ebay seller. . .
Any updates here?
Still playing about with handset - just got it 5 days ago. Not sure about home screen notes, but if you revert to windows today screen there are apps (SPB Today - or something like that)
Not sure about displaying notes on the home page, but 'OneNote Mobile' is installed on the device by default and is quite handy...
You can also add a note during a phone call (one of the options available during call) and can retrieve it again later by going to your recent calls list...
Hope this might help...

How to disable Opera Mini access permission check?

Hi,
Yeah, I know that HD comes with Opera 9.5; and it is a much better browser than Opera Mini; but I am based in India. And here 3G is still in infancy; and we have to reply on EDGE for connectivity.
Now my HD has come pre-installed with Esmertect JBed Build ID: 20080418.2.1; and I was able to install Opera Mini easily on it and it is working fine. But every time I connect it to internet, it ask permission from me twice. I faced the same problem with my Palm Treo 750 (running Windows Mobile 5.0) and there I used a fix to change selector.utf and it worked fine.
But this method isn't working on HTC HD; and what is more, when I copy the modified selector.utf, it's size is 343 bytes, but it is changed to 340 bytes by itself.
Please tell me how I can do this? It is really irritating to click so any times to access net; on my Plam Treo, I have assigned the side button to open browser and it took me two click to open a site in my bookmarks, on HD it takes about 6-7 clicks :-(
Thanks
Nitin
Hi,
Got it working!!! By default http://mini.opera.con installs an unsigned version of Opera Mini, which does not give an option of always providing access. I installed a Verisign signed version, and got an option to give access to Opera Mini always
And after that I created a short cut to launch Opera Mini (JBed + Suite1), and brought it to the program menu. Now I can invoke Opera Mini in two taps (one of Windows icon, and one on Opera Mini launcher), and it connects directly, without asking for any permission.
BTW, due to HD's high resolution screen (480 X 800 pixel), even very small fonts are crystal clear and easily visible, making the browsing experience terrific.
Cheers
Nitin
