It might be a conflicting app you have downloaded. See whats running on your phone or in the background.
I dont know if you are running a2sd. But it seems to cut down on problems like that. It used to do it to me all the time back on 1.5 roms without a2sd.
The app i had problems with was PoliceScanner.. I would delete it and everything would work again.

You guys need to get on the new CHT 1.8 Its Killer!
it sure is. it's more responsive, some widgets are now available. only thing is that it doesn't seem to be compatible with hd wall .cabs. hopefully they'll be an update for that.

People are just discussing information about CHT 1.8, it has nothing to do with being serious.
I'm loving it very much as well. Has that home screen music widget always been there? I'm freaking loving it!
Yep. It's rad. Stoked on it and nothing to complain about. The widgets are cool.

Did you guys uninstall the patch for HDWall? I haven't tried it yet.
Does this have a setting for disabling your Data connection if it's not used for a period of time? I noticed that I'll wake my phone up and the data connection is turned of... Turn it back on and it's fine, but I can't seem to find anything in the options in regards to what is happening.
I didn't notice it happening before CHT 1.8.

nice can u post up a screen shot wondering how small it looks lol
Ill have to do it when I get home. It isn't overly small and looks pretty sleek. Ill post a pic a little later when im done work. You should just install it and check it out. I can almost guarantee its not to small for the tab. It actually helps me type better. Its as wide as the whole screen just not as tall as the stock keyboards but yields no issue. I actually prefer the size.

So now we got the keyboard... how about porting the whole system now?
No seriously, what can we do with the system.img from the sdk?
I'm downloading the SDK now. I'll pick apart as much as I can. I want to see if that fancy new launcher will be an easy port. I'm going to try the keyboard out on my Tab and myTouch 4g now.

Some of the ROMS have "smart alarm"

However the new EC05 one I have doesn't. Does anyone know where to get that feature? I've looked in the market place but the "smart" alarms in there are not what I'm looking for, they try to guess when you are just finishing a dream cycle.
I'm looking for the one that starts 5 mins before you set it and it turns the screen on very dim, then brighter as time goes by. It also has nice soothing music that starts out low and gets louder.
Thanks for any help in figuring out how to get this back !

The install scripts usually run device specific mount commands. Replace it into a flashable zip for ur device and it should work fine.

No matter what ROM I use, market goes back to stock green

So, Ive tried 3 different ROM's. and on two of them used Riptides blue theme. Right now, Im using MikFroYo v4.61, with the Chogardjr-Blue-Theme-v4.6x-Odex-signed theme. At initial boot, the market starts out blue, but after awhile it switches back to stock green. Any ideas why?

It has something to do with the market's auto updater. If you go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900584&highlight=cyan+dragon
and go to post 2, there's a method that shows you how to get your custom market back. I just kind of let it go, personally.

Just uninstall the update and freeze "market updater" thru titanium backup. Easy as pie.

When it doesn't break anything, me too

Just installed GingerBlur, some questions..

What are the benefits over the stock OS? I don't see anything new, and switching in between home screens is glitchier. I am running 1.8.3. Also wondering where the webtop option is? It's not coming up when I plug it in, nor am I finding it in the app drawer.
Well.... i don't believe GingerBlur is a different OS. As far as i'm aware, because of the locked bootloader, that's kind of impossible at this point. I believe GingerBlur is basically just an extremely modified version of the stock OS to make it look as much like Gingerbread as it can.

Well I completely understand that, but what is the rave about? My friend told em to keep getting it, and people seem to love it on here, so I figured why not? However I am not seeing anything different, just a glitchy ass homescreen, my webtop mod isn't working, and my contact pictures aren't in my text messages LOL.

First of all, please don't shove words in my mouth. I am thankful for GingerBlur, and whoever is making it is doing a really great job, I am just wondering why my home screens are really running like crap. There is nothing wrong with it. I understand it's still in beta, I am just wondering if it's my phone doing it, that's why I posted here in the first place and wondering if it's normal.

It's a bit glitchier than normal. Like they aren't as "smooth" as they are on stock when flicking left and right to switch between the home screens. Also the webtop hack was installed before installing gingerblur, and it said it was included in the 3.1 update. I just don't see that option when connecting HDMI.

nvm reinstalled the webtop hack, working great however the homescreen shouldn't be lagging the way it is. I am uploading a video, it's not showing how slow it is though through the video. maybe I flashed something wrong in my phone.. i just rooted from stock without wiping anything, and updated to gingerblur. i keep seeing steps to flashing to gingerblur and reflashing the sfb first.. , but i didnt do that, maybe thats the cause of my "laggyness"?
UPDATE (Video with lag, it really looks smooth in this video for some reason, it's really only half that)
