Hi,
I've just installed the latest version of WLM and it doesn't work. Live Search application starts but it displays only a text box and nothing more. Messenger instead doesn't even start.
Using the Italian ROM 1.13.401
You guys with 1.14 roms have any problems with it?
Unfortunately I haven't ordered my HD just yet, but it's worrying to think that Live messenger may not be working.
I hope this is an isolated, and for your sake an easily fixable incident!

Ok so i was using shadowline's rom and i noticed that in his rom if i was using my bluetooth headset the proximity sensor was still active. His rom was the only one that had this out of all the roms i tried. So i wrote a little app to enable this is every rom. I have only tested it on EnergyRom 6.5.1 but it should work on any rom. You will need .net3.5

I have made a little fix so that dot fred task manager works with this app
What does this do exactly?
it keeps the proximity sensor active when using bluetooth so if you put it in your pocket the screen automatically turns off when you pull it out of your pocket it turns on

the proximity sensor does not work in some roms, when i wrote this app i was using a rom that it did not work. I have not used tp2 on wm6.1 so i did not know that.
does this cab change a registry key or does it act in another way?

well you won't be able to tell cause the proximity sensor works with out my app if you don't have bt on

sorry i guess im not understanding what you are saying so let me frase it another way. the app checks to see if your on your phone, it does not matter if your using bt or not, then enables proximity sensor if your on the phone even if your not using bt. hope this helps

Windows live messenger works fine on the HTC HD2. You can use the official windows live messenger app or 3rd party apps such as palringo.

After coming from a Google G1 (rooted) phone and having everything work so smoothly, (ebuddy. msn) i installed messenger on my HD2 and it sucks, big time. maybe this is me? what i am used to? well, real time conversations just like on a pc, but now its like sending a message? it's terrible.
