Htc hd touch no usb - Touch HD General

Hello my friends. I have looked on all threads and cannot solve this problem.
I have a Blackstone which has norwegian rom installed. I wish to change to english rom as i speak or read no norwegian. As my pc's (3) will not recognise this device how can i load a new rom?
I have used several cables , used three computers, active sync windows xp pro sp3 & wmdc on windows 7. Non of the pc's reognise device as either a hard drive or a mobile device. Have two other htc devices (kaiser and touch 2) and these sync to my pc's fine and wmdc downloads appropriate drivers etc.
Bootloader reads
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.000
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
after successfully installing new updated norwegian rom from htc site by putting nbh file on sd card after renaming BLACIMG.nbh and putting in bootloader (pwr & vol dwn).
So I can load new norgi rom but no english rom by doing same and using sd card. Can't load hspl or uspl or any sspl unless I am doing some thing wrong?
I can load manual sspl on device and run from phone but when in bootloader cannot still load rom by usb or by putting nbh from rom on sd card.
Could anybody please give me some advice and preferably an idiots step by step guide on how to do.
Remember I have no HTC Touch Hd to USB connection.
When in bootloader device reads serial at the bottom. in white section of tricolour.
Please could I utilise all the great brains on this site and come up with a solution..
I have little hair left to pull out
Kind Regards

INSTALL HARD-SPL from micro-SD?

Is there a way to install HARDP-SPL from the micro SD card? I am able to flash any rom from my SD-Card, but I am no longer able to connect my Polaris to active sync. Get an error "USB Device not recognized" and I am not able to get synched. Now I have flashed several different rom's and also different radios, that works from the micro sd card. but I am still not able to connect with active sync. When I enter the bootloader mode then I just see that message "POLA100 MFG SPL-2.20.OliNex CPLD-2" So I guess the Hard-SPL is missing. Home I will get some help ;-)
If you step manually to bootlader mode and see the Olinex string, hard-spl is installed!
Thanks for your answer, didn't know that. However, I am not able to connect to active sync even though I have tried different ROM's and different Radios also, flashed from SD-card. Still no connection to activesync :-(
I have the exact same problem for almost a year now, flashing all roms with the micro sd card... and living without active sync :S
Hope someone can help us here
maybe 2 things :
1- your usb cable is ko...try with an another one
2- maybe the usb pins in your device are twisted or broken...
cheers!

1- the USB cable can't be the problem, already tried a different one, plus using my Touch pro with the same cable on the same computer
2- the pins, I don't know, they look good for what I can tell and it is strange because the phone will be charged with the usb cable
wish I would find a solution.....

Can you dumb that down a bit? I don't have access to a windows computer, so I have to rely on the microSD. Is there a way to Hard-SPL the phone with the SD card? I performed a Hard-SPL on my Wing when I first got it, but I think it was an older out-dated version, cuz I get an "Invalid Certificate" error when trying to flash from my microSD.
Thanks,
-Adam
easy solution which I found
If you first install the .nbh file of the .72 stock spl using the micro sd card, then your device will not boot into the OS. Now run the Sony Ericsson update utility (which you can download from their website) and run it. It will try to upgrade the system through usb. After different steps, this software will ask you to reinstall the OS (the spl should match first) and then you can reinstall the stock spl and you are back to square one. Now from here, you can now go anywhere you like.
Note: The above method, I tried it myself and it worked. It might not work for everyone hence use it at your own risk. But if you have a bricked device, then there is nothing to lose.

Should like to Flash ROM, but ERROR 260

Hello
I've got a problem. I want to flash my ROM to WM6.5.
I connectet my Phone with Vista over USB-Port.
The ROMUpdateUtility.exe start the GUI.The phone disconnect from Vista and the Install GUI shows me after few seconds the ERROR 260, that my Phone ist not connectet.
On my Phone I see the three coulored Monitor. On the left lower site is written "USB".
I tried to hold the connection with Vista ( i startet the Camera or other Applikation ) but the same problem.
Whenever i start the ROMUpdateUtility.exe the same. Disconnect and never connect again.
What can i do, that my phone stay connectet with Vista, so the Install GUI can make his work?
thx AcidC ( and sorry for my bad english)
run artemis uspl first
remove any sd card if u have
and then try it
Hi,
we tried with and without microSD card and or sim card.
The real problem is the connection which is interrupted and doesn't rebuild.
Independent of trying to flash the WM6.5 or USPL.
Silly question, but you never know..Do you have Windows Mobile Device Center installed in your PC and is your device connected to it? It is the "Activesync for Vista". The three coloured screen is normal, it is called Boatloader. After that you should have a progress bar of what you are updating (rom,radio..uspl..etc) on both PC and Artemis. In my case, when i got error [260] it's always because I forget to remove the SD card. I know you already tried this but keep it away from device when you flash.Your problem is maybe about Vista Drivers for Artemis, there are threads concerning it. Before you investigate further, try to install/reinstall Windows Mobile Device Center, change USB port and flash with a freshly booted PC. Hope you'll get the magic.
P.S. USPL flash is ABSOLUTELY THE FIRST THING TO DO!
Workaround: try to flash with a PC running XP
You need RUU for vista
Ok. I tried it again, but like u said, i need USPL and WM6.5 RUUs for Vista. But can u help me? I don't find somthing :-(
I consider myself beeing quite lucky for not having needed this even if I'm on Vista, hope helps for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337097
Use these drivers for Vista:

Yeahhh ... Now it works. Thank U all. And now i understand. I had to update my MobileSyncDriver in Vista. Thank U very much

[Q] Can I recover my HTC HD2?

I was updating my HTC HD2 by following the recent article in MicroMart.
I had successfully installed SPL-2.08.HSPL.
Next, instead of updating the Radio ROM, I did the MAGLDR ROMUpdate (apparently successfully) and now when I switch the phone on it just hangs with the intial HTC screen.
I cannot connect it with the PC through Active Sync.
Apart from kicking myself is there anything I can do to recover?
go to bootloader and reflash magldr
But don't I need to get connected through Active Sync through Windows Mobile Device Centre?
How do I get the HTC HD2 to do anything?

Try to flash the latest stock ROM via SD card.It will remove the HSPL and MAGLDR.

One more example in the pile of several thousand people confused by the use of the term "get an activesync connection".
it doesn't mean the program activesync, just a USB connection.
Enter bootloader manually. Connect USB, when word "serial" becomes "USB" you can flash.
Most winmo flashing problems are caused by the time taken for the rom.exe to reboot the phone into bootloader. Putting it in bootloader manually will save you about half a minute per flash, and practically nullify any timeout connection errors.
Giraff,
Thanks for the advice, but I would be grateful if you would tell me what file to put on the SD card.
Do you mean a file like "RUU_Leo_S_Orange_UK_3.14.61.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2 .15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe"
which I then
- Rename to LEOIMG.nbh and copy to the root of a microSD card that's been formatted to FAT32
- Insert the storage card into your phone
- et seq?
Sam Samuel,
I've got USB on the phone, but I don't get access through Explorer.
Do I just execute the above RUU...exe file on the PC or put file
RUU_Signed_0409.nbh
on the SD card et seq.
that file, although it is an .exe file, is actually a zip.
to do an sd card flash
right click that file, and choose extract here, or perhaps unzip here, or unpack here, depending what archive program you have installed, if you cant see any options like that, install winrar or 7zip (theyre free)
It will extract to around 8 or so files, one of which, the biggest, is called RUU_signed.nbh and that is the actual rom file.
Take that file, rename it leoimg.nbh copy it to your sd card and reboot into bootloader, , teh flash should start automatically.
Or, since you have now connected to usb in bootlaoder, just double click
RUU_Leo_S_Orange_UK_3.14.61.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_ 2 .15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
to run the flash over usb,
BUT
be aware that flashing this (or any 3.14) rom over usb whilst hspl is installed will mean it wont update the spl to 3.03.xxxx and so the rom wont work properly until you manually upgrade the spl to 3.03.xxxx using hspl4

no, you cant access teh filesystem whilst teh phone is in bootloader. This is why the update utility wont show you the 'from version' info, because it cant access the registry.
Or would I find it easier to put the file "RUU_Signed_0409.nbh" on the SD card?
I don't know what 0409 means.
0409 is the country code, not usually there, but nothing to worry about. yea you can do it sd card method if you like. it will only work if it is teh actual correct rom for teh phone, from sd card, , cant use hspl to get other stock roms on there with sd card.
If i were you tho i would have run the .exe as soon as 'serial' because 'usb' and i would know by now whether it works or not,,,, hehe.
Thanks for all the advice.
I will try again tomorrow.

Just to add to this statement so people will better understand why Samsamuel phrased this this way. If you notice while in bootloader and the USB is present at the bottom of the screen, on your computer it is listed as HTC USB Sync.
Take the battery out and put the battery back on again. connect the usb to both phone and computer (2)hold the volume down button and press the phone power button . it will show USB Connection once it goes into magladr
Once I understood that plugging in a USB cable while in HSPL and seeing Serial change to USB on the HD2, I was able to flash the Radio ROM and proceed with the installation of Android 2.3.
All appears to be working now.
Thanks for all the advice.

are you running the exe as administrator? If not, try that way
yes I am running it as Administrator
When you connect to PC via USB does the word "serial" change to "USB" on the bootloader?
At what point on the process do you get this message?
I'm talking about the hspl process btw.
If you don't have the right hspl (2.08) nothing else will work.

Here is a few suggestions for the OP.
One try changing USB ports, try all ports on your computer.
Uninstall ActiveSync/WMDC and then reinstall it, make sure you download the latest vsrsion from Microsoft.
Try deleting all of your USB drivers and letting them reinstall when you connect your HD2 to your computer.
Try another USB cable if need be.
Finally try another computer if you can.
Create a Gold-card. It will bypass CID checks and allow you to flash. Just search for the topic here on XDA. If you can't get this resolved, I can also write a custom CID to the board via JTAG for you to fix this problem.
connexion2005 i will create a gold card and see if that works Thank you very much i will let you know if it doesn't work. how hard is it to create a CID?
Gold card :_(
The Gold Card is not doing anything, every time I do Vol Down and power the tricolor screen pops up and then goes to the white screen where it says "loading...." in blue but it doesn't move from there.... what should i do in that case?

so it goes to the tricolor screen and then goes to the page where it says it is loading and shows htc and the 0% bar and a few minutes later the computer shows that message and my phone stays at 0%.

I really hate to say it but I think you may have physical NAND problems. The NAND is where Windows Mobile or any OS that you flash to your HD2 is stored, or to help you understand it is where the ROM is flashed to when flashing a ROM. If the NAND chip has too many bad blocks it will not allow you to flash. seeimg as you have tried everything including a gold card, this is the only conclusion I can come up with. The only fix for a bad NAND chip is to replace the main board. Sorry to be the barrer of bad news.

Look in the HD2 Android Q&A and General foum or the HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A and General forum, I know I seen a thread on doing this in one of the two forums not too long ago. If you use search make sure to use advance search and select to only search thread titles, and if you can not find it through search than go page by page until you have went atleast 25 to 30 ages back just reading the thread titles. I am sure you can find it.

[Q] Should I flash it or no??? Help please

So my HTC Blackstone is going crazy.I changed battery & touch screen and after that cam went crazy.I saw all kinds of colou's on cam but that's not a problem because I use it rarely. What bothers me is that I locked myself out of it.I was setting up screen password early in morning and I don't know what did I typed in.How can I solve this???
I'm thinking to flash it but when I was looking at flashing instructions I saw that I need to Sync it with my computer in Windows Mobile Device Center. But I cant sync it since I cant log into the system.I installed all drivers on my PC and when I connect it via USB it detects it automatically.
I wanted to reset HTC to factory defaults but I cant I did Hard Reset but when I do it I come to that 3 color screen and cant go further than that.
When HTC is disconnected and I'm in 3 color screen on the bottom it says "Serial",when I connect it to USB it says USB.
So basically I'm stuck and I need advice, what to do???
Can I flash it without sync it with Windows Mobile Device Center???
Or is there other way around this problem!
Thank you in advance for your help! :good:
For flashing a new ROM, there is no need to sync with Windows Mobile Device Center. However, you will need Microsoft .Net 3.5 SP1 to connect to Blackstone. I am guessing you are using Vista or Win 8, so you may have to do a separate install for it.
I recommend that you use a ROM from this thread, which is the most updated on this website. I am using it, and it is very stable. I had used the Android version, and it is user and finger friendly.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719627
Caution: Make sure Blackstone has at least 70% battery-life
Step 1. Update HSPL to 1.56 Olinex
1a. You will need to update the HSPL (effectively, unlocking your phone) to 1.56 Olinex. Follow the instructions found in the above thread, under a heading:
Dummies guide flashing 1.56+ roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
1b. Follow the instructions very strictly. It can get tricky, but it is worth the effort.
Step 2. Download custom ROM
2a. Go to the Download site, and in Mediafire site, go to the folder:
0.77_WM_653_WEH_Orange_ROM
2b. Inside the folder, you will find this ROMs for download, for example:
ORANGE ROM [1-October-2013] - 0.77 [Full - Cookie 2.0_Android] WM6.5.3 WEH.zip
2c. Download this file and extract the files.
BlackstoneAdvancedRUU.exe
RUU_Signed.nbh
2d. Copy the "RUU_Signed.nbh" file to the Root of your Blackstone microSD and rename it to "BLACIMG.NBH. Do not insert it into Blackstone yet.
Step 3. Wipe existing Blackstone ROM
3a. Reboot your Blackstone to Tri-color screen and connect to PC by USB.
3b. On PC, run the program "BlackstoneAdvancedRUU.exe". Select Task 29 do it. This will do a clean wipe of the Blackstone ROM (which you said has been corrupted.
3c. Once the Task 29 is completed,
Switch off Blackstone.
Disconnect USB cable from Blackstone.
Insert the microSD (with the BLACIMG.NBH file) to your Blackstone.
Step 4. Install custom ROM
4a. Switch on your Blackstone to Tri-color mode.
Very shortly, you will come to a screen to ask if you want to update the ROM file.
Press the Power button to update
4b. The rest of the update will be done automatically.
