I mean is our pleasure to help but somethings like anybody has this cab or this appp... maybe needs a lil time to search if tehre isnt any... then you can dump a stock rom of HTC leo and get it... if your ext pkg or oem or whatever is the only one in XDA then share it...
It could be a great Idea to have a EXT repository thread to void this kind of things, like a chefs marketplace

Hey and sorry yeah, I should have searched more before shooting in with a new thread
I actually found it in my kitchen in EXT, I notice it is set to the right location in the start menu, but its not actually appearing there, could it need to be changed in 2 places? I searched for mp3 in initflashfiles but found nothing.

you need to look in the initflashfiles.dat of the rom you dumped to get the mp3 trimmer pkg, it will be there

you dont need to change anything in the general initflashfiles...
you need to edit the app.dat if the pkg is EXT
you can change the initflashfiles if its an OEM pkg

MP3trimmer is indeed missing from the tmous roms. When you tried search you would have found this
I know the mod edit in the first post says solved, but I didn't see the cab or EXT posted here, so here's my MP3 Trimmer EXT. I use it on my TP2 (WVGA) so it should work on a Leo as well.

I prefer not to use cabs though as i like to know exactly what i am doing when tweaking and would prefer not to decompile the cab to see exactly wtf is going on!

Yeah, tell me about it! What's the point of putting a startup sound if it stutters? It makes the whole device look cheap right from its first powerup.
All my cab does is replace the wav file with a tiny silent one, therefore saving precious ROM space. It works fine for me, and I've not had any complaints so far.

I Know alot of people want bg4all tabs..its comes cooked in energy ROMS (atleast the last two i have used). after searchin on XDA and other places for around a week i cant find a simple cab file which can REMOVE BG4ALL from my rom
any help from my brothers and sisters at XDA would be greatly appreciated.

Unless I'm mistaken, you won't be able to uninstall something that's cooked into the rom...if you don't want that feature, you'll need to find a rom that doesn't have it.
Also, it would be very helpful if you changed the title of this thread from "REMOVE BG4ALL tabs.!" to "How to remove BG4ALL tabs?"...the way it is now, it sounds like a warning, not a question

thnx for ur advice SIR...i thot so tht i cant remv sumthn from da ROM..but we do have CAB file to disable a few features in the rom. And here we will be playing around with manila so i feel there should be a way out..i am addicted to EnergyROMS so theres no way i am givin up on it..i'l keep tryn..cuz i know da whole lot out der lyks their BG on all tabs..so i'l hv to pay or being difrnt.

That title "How to remove BG4all Tabs didn't look like a warning to me, it looked like a solution!, which of course it wasn't, then, just when I gave up hope, I saw THIS! (but no explanation of HOW he got it fixed, then, the next post includes a link - Hooray! I have hope again, then link is broken! Defeated again...
Why do you play with my emotions like that, LOL! Seriously I would REALLY like this fix, as BG$all on Energy, On HD2 is a but much in the text screens, I can't read anything, the screen is just too vivid!

Hey everybody, I just cant seem to get my head around this, could someone please help me out
Im trying to make WM SMS the default SMS client in my Leo Rom (Like NRGZ28 does)
I tried the cab by zenkinz:

I used an CAB to EXT utility to try and make a package out of it, and it half worked, however when in the htc sense people list, scrolling across to the text tab, gives me a black screen.
so then I tried add2config (I thought this would be the best solution, so people could uninstall the cab and use normal htc messaging if they wanted to) however with this, the phone is constantly stuck in the initial customization ( I expect its something to do with the prompts you get when installing the cab)
so finally I tried this, I didnt cook in the htc messaging client at all, and I added this reg tweak in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCMessaging\Compose]
"ExecPathName"="Tmail.exe"
But this is giving me the same black screen when on the text sub tab of the people tab.
Can someone PLEASE help me get this sorted please its really getting me stressed

Try disabling these packages: HTCMessage, HTCMessaging_Client, Message_Enhancement, Text_Selection.

i just use these methods it works great i dont have that blackscreen ....maybe your reg entries overwriting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its the reg not being good as i have that problem when i take out the reg settings:-o
you can help it by first going to the messaging tab and open a text message there then youre blackscreen will be gone
but then again i only get this problem when i take out those regsettings so i definetly think its the reg not being proccesed right:-o

Nah I solved it for me I was using an ext pkg, supposedly just for games, and I looked at the reg, and its full of messaging reg entries :O
solved now.

I have built a rom for the HTC HD2 Leo, using base build 1.66 ROM. I have updated the OS to 25018 and updated sense to 2016. I have two things I would really like to include in my next rom.
I have changed the page pool to 18mb but have not enabled the 576mb of ram. Could somebody tell me how to do this as I have not been able to as yet.
I am also looking for the HTC volume pad so I can replace the Windows white "stock" pad. - I have found the package in oskitchen for the volume control and put it last in the list but I cant get it to work. Does anybody have any ideas?
Did you post this in the wrong forum, and do you want it moved to the correct one, lol? It seems like an odd place for this; I don't even know what device it's for.
Edit: Ok, I see now it's an HD2. Are you just looking for answers to these Q's?

Yea, These are the two major things I am still stuck on. I hate the "standard" volume white bar that comes with 5.5 and I would love to have 576 enabled as well

from what i have read, it seems all you need is to use nk.exe from a tmous rom, and then use a ..50.. radio.

I think I have a copy of a tomus rom someware so I will try that to. I used it to get my sense package working!!!

HTCVolumeControl.dll may be in a custom taskbar you are using, and may not be compatible with the HTCVolumeControl package you are using - are you installing or cooking in a custom taskbar?

I think I found the problem with the Volume control...
Watch this video. It seems to be related to the volume icon on the task bar (shellres.192.dll).

miniterror, the keywords are: "rebuilded the hd2 kitchen". (BTW - Past tense of "rebuild" is "rebuilt" ).
So - some prowxml or rgu (reg) is removing your game shortcut after your initflashfiles adds it. In the ship OEM from Leo there is a provxml, that removes it. Check again your OEM (or EXT, or wherever you have) - as far as I remember - it should be somewhere in OperatorPkg.... But it's not for sure - now I'm not near my kitchen computer and can not check that.
It should be the mxipupdate_projectdefault_a_000.provxml in ProjectDefault_A folder.

solution: the delete part is in a file called mxipupdate_zzRemoveTSKmgr_1
of the tskmgr i thought taskmanager and i didnt think it whas there
it also deletes the default pictures
