I have a small issue.
I have my work schedule as a gif image. I would like to get a shortcut to the picture on any of the 7 desktops.
Is it possible to make a shortcut for a picture on your desktop?

Use HTC's Photo Frame widget. Select your image. When you tap the widget, it'll open the image.
It may work, but I do not want it to take the whole screen. I would like to have it as a small icon.

Hi there,
Just put the excellent phone dialer from Vijay555 on my i Launcher (on a K jam), which works just fine - but being a computer duffer I can't work out how to change the phone dial icon to mini - pictures of my family who I'm calling - even though they have been successfully pinned to their slots in Contacts - (they live in My Pictures).
I guess I should shrink them down to icon size - but how do you do that??? !!! aagghhh!!

You'll need a photoshop type program and shrin your icons down then save them as TGA files. Theres instructions on sbsh.nets forums for creating your own icons as well.
I've posted about this here and there - I use claunch as my launcher, but the photoshopping is the same either way.
Find a nice portrait photo, use the crop tool and crop in as close as you can around the face/boobs etc, and make it squarish.
Crop that.
Then resize your nice square crop to 32x32 pixels. That's very small, so there'll be hardly any detail, but it should do the job.

Does anyone know of (or can quickly write) a Today plugin that will show a picture of my choosing? The reason is that I want a picture on my today screen, but I don't want it to be my background. I suppose I could always edit my background so that the picture is embedded in the background, but that's not convenient.

Within WAD you can make a "dock" that is your picture..if this is what you're looking for.

I was thinking how would be nice if someone could add a menu option for viewing pictures - use as touchflo3D background ( or maybe some picture viewer app which can do this ). Because always when you want to change the background you must slide across the screen to settings tab, select the wallpaper option, click on no ( no default wallpaper ), choose the folder and finally found a picture what you want in that so small thumbnails, click on it and go to the home tab to see how it looks like. But specially in the women pictures you find out (after this ridiculously long procedure) that she has a clock across the face xD.
Correct me if I am wrong. The app with the thumbnails is htc album right? Why there is no possibility to see the image in fullscreen before you select it as wallpaper (as it is in htc album tab) ???

I need some help with my custom lockscreen wallpaper (see wallpaper below) which is not showing correctly. It looks compressed (or is it banding?).
First this is how I select my lockscreen wallpaper:
I use the mail app (setup with Yahoo Mail) to download the image (a 36 bit png file). When I view the image (which looks great at this stage) I select "use as wallpaper" from the options menu. The image then shows up in a crop box (which now looks compressed) and select the check mark (crop). When I press the lock and unlock button the wallpaper looks fantastic. But the moment I go to the start screen then pess the lock and unlock button the wallpaper looks compressed (again maybe banding?).
What is weird is that when I open the Pictures, Marketplace, or Music and Video apps, and then lock and unlock the phone the wallpaper looks great again.
What am I doing wrong? Is the image too large? Is it because the image is 36 bit? Or is it some bug in the phone? Please help me. It's driving me crazy...

I am creating a "hub" theme for my Iconia. I have screenshots of each page of the hub (home, web, news, mdeia, games) that I have turned in to picture frame widgets. Underneath each frame I used Minimalistic Text to create a link to each page using the method of stretching the MT over the corresponding launcher action (using ADW Ex).
What I want to know is is there a way to be able to link each picture frame to their corresponding page?? I would like to be able to press on either the screenshot preview OR the text to go to the hub page.
I have messed around with DVR and while I can create the actual icon, I can only link it to an app and not to the launcher action of "go to page ______".
If anyone knows a work around or programs that could facilitate this I would appreciate the insight.
ALSO!! I am looking for the Asus Mail Widget apk to complete my home hub. I am running Taboonay 2.1 right now and I don't wont to flash a different ROM to get it....ideas??

Looks like you're using adw ex, so you can create the shortcut to the page you want and once its created, long press on the shortcut, select edit, and than press on the icon. This will allow you to select any picture you have on your device and use that picture instead of the default icon.
You may have to take some extra steps to get it setup how you want but this should get you in the right direction, I think you can figure out the rest . Oh and as a tip, I use the app "Simple Text" to create my icons. I just save the icon as a picture and than select it in adw. Not sure if the app your talking about lets you save the icon as a picture since I haven't used it. And I got a whole bunch of different text from a post (not sure if on here or not) that had a zip file download with 300+ different fonts.
For the mail widget, you can just pull the apk(s) out of a rom that has it and flash it to your tab. Or the taboonay kitchen may have it.
Thanks for your reply. I have used the method you are talking about the only problem is when I make the icons that way the end up being too small. And you cant stretch the icon.
I do use Simple Text for my icon replacements that you see. I have an invisible launcher action underneath each hub icon that takes me to the corresponding page. Was just hoping to do'the same with the smaller thumbnail previews....the invisible launcher icon method doesnt work for them!
