Kitchen WM 6.1 Worked for me

Well I thought I would dive right into hacking the 6700 so downloaded Kitchen 6.1 and made a custom rom that I uploaded onto the 6700. Using boot rom 2.04 with no issues. So thought I would share! Happy hacking and simply steller forum!

Dose the wifi work?and the Outlook activesync's problem solved?

Yes I did it to my phone !!!!!wonderfullllllllllllllllllllllllllllll works great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played with it and flashed my phone with the kitchen a few times, 6.1 works great (depending on your config that you install) and I do like it a lot better than 5.0.
Some battery life issues depending on what you install with it....

Wi-fi does work (at least in the new kitchen) and Outlook activesync problem ? Are you talking remote Exchange activesync ? If so, yes, I did have this running perfectly with it. I also had it syncing with Outlook 2003/2007 on a vista desktop with no problems...

does that version have touch flo 3d on it like diamonds

How do you block incoming calls for windows 6?

I googled and found the program called call-block.
problem is that
1st - its not free
2nd - it cant be installed on my PDA through vista
When i installed it, it just says it didnt detect any microsoft activesynch and when i downloaded the latest version (4.5) of activesynch, it says it cannot be installed on vista -_-.
So yeah, i'm really stuck here
can anyone help?

Windows Live Messenger

i hav used many roms, some hav live messenger n some don't.....right now i hav installed a rom n i liked it too much it's function but problem is this it dont hav live messenger n best way is to get cab file if not then any way by which it can be installed with full features....plz tell me......

8 think there is a version that MS puts out on their website. otherwize google the cab.

Windows Marketplace

Here is the cab that is downloaded when you first connect to the marketplace. Hopefully all the chefs can integrate it in.
edit// For those that have a ROM that did NOT come with the marketplace (stock roms for the most part) you will need to create a shortcut to \windows\WMMarketplaceFullClient.exe.

This is work on my WM 6.5 in ELFIN. But this is missing the path icon. I need to find out the exe file on window folder to run.

It does not work on my Energy ROM WM 6.5 (23016) NRGZ28..
It says:
We encountered an error trying to reach the windows marketplace server.
Would you try again?
Anyone got the same issue?

Yes having the same issue on athine´s build 23047 and on my Toshiba TG01 with stock rom!

I have read somewhere that maybe the problem is localization of the software:
I live in Italy and an italian winmo blog says:
To make it work on italian ROM's you have to change "WMMBootstrap.exe.0409.mui" into "WMMBootstrap.exe.0410.mui" in windows folder
But it does not work for me,
probably because i have Energy's ROM.

But I have a small problem...
I have WM 6.5 English version but I filled in my windows live information all no problem but my marketplace is in Dutch (I live in the Netherlands but I would like to have the US version because now I only have 5 aps)
Anyone who has any idea how to change region?

Well, I read somewhere else apps were "flooding" in, but I haven't seen it. Got it working early last night on my stock 6.1 rom (damn CDMA) and right now I see the same apps. Then again, I'm only searching free. I'm a cheap bastard.

I also can't get it to work on my phone. Something with the ROM I have (EnergyROM Photon latest) that caused it to break. It worked on his ROM from 10.02.2009 but not this one.

I'm on a stock VZW 6.1 ROM. It didn't automatically create a shortcut in my "Program files" list, so I just created a shortcut (with Resco Explorer) from the /windows folder. The .exe is called: "WMMarketplaceFullClient.exe" in case anyone doesn't see it.

Ahh well I wasn't aware it didn't create any shortcuts. The ROM I run already has the regular marketplace stuff installed so this just replaces what's there. Good to know. Will add to first post.

Pardon my ignorance, put what folder to you place a shortcut in to get the program to show up in the Program Files list? I tried creating a new directory under the Program Files folder and a shortcut in that directory but it didn't add it to the Program Files list.

Same here English 6.5, Regional settings set to "English UK" marketplace appears in Greek and has only 3 applications. Changed time to London UK no change in marketplace.
Any ideas for a fix?

I am pretty sure the marketplace has a check routine to figure out what operator you're on and then uses that to check against what region.

In \windows\start menu\pick a place

Mine has worked without a hitch... I did notice that it logged on and then downloaded another update and required my MSN login details, but then, no probs. It even found an update for some of my apps and downloaded them.. Quite coo..

Yeah this new 10.07 ROM marketplace works on. w00t back to goodness.

Also I just noticed a lot more apps than on Monday.

Windows Live

G'day Guys,
I just would like to know if there is a way to remove Windows Live ?! I couldn't find it in the Software list do deinstall, the reason why I want to deinstall it is, cause I found in the Windows Marketplace a new version and it says in the description, prior installing Windows Live 11.0 I have to deinstall my Old Windows Live. But I really don't know how to do that.

Well its in your official ROM so i don't think you can remove it, you have flash a new clean ROM... unless someone else knows another way.

just install the new one from marketplace on top of it.

It doesn't actually install the new version with the old one still there. I can't even find the exe to just delete it.
