make sure on your SD card there is a folder called Exactly ExtROM containing the .cab and other files in the .rar
- Voip working, Just run Sip Config tool and in the proxy server enter for example sip.vyke.com (and you
can open a free account with them and get 1$ just go to www.vyke.com)
DO NOT install their client for Windows Mobile, it makes the blueangel very unstable.
I found a couple of bugs on the 3.1 image, main one that was not UC capable. That is corrected now with 3.1b
Also new ExtROM 3.1b unpack in root of SDcard and read the readme.txt

Somewhere along WM5, a few cooks started putting Cyberon's Voice Commander in their roms, but because a lot of people preferred M$ Voice Command, they stopped (a quick reminder that VC cannot be cooked into a rom because it is licensed software)

No RAM disk, about the pagepool I haven´t changed it from whatever Swampy had so he can better answer that question...

The ROM has a very beautiful interface. I have tried it and my first outstanding concern is with Windows Media Player. Unlike other ROM versions that I have used which give the user the option of pausing a media file when another application is in used, the WMP in this ROM simply stops and does not resume playback. So Gloomy, your ROM will be really great if you can address this Problem.

have just flashed this rom. good performance but i am having a problem.
i wonder if it's just me or is wifi not working well? i can get a connection- though it does tend to get disconnected quite often NOT because of poor signal.
Also, even when it's connected, apps cannot seem to recognise the connection and therefore cannot get online.
this has happened to one wifi connection at home 100% of the times i try to connect and also happens about 50% of times that I try on another wifi connection of a different router.
any suggestions?
p.s. ive never had any problems with other roms- ive tried most of them...

I had a similar issue with an older version of Swampy's rom. I am not certain of the reason why, but 20758 doesn't seem to have that issue anymore. One thing I did find out was that Weather Pannel was causing my connection to drop for no apparent reason. If you are using it, try to take it out of the Today Plugin and see if it still drops the connection.

I've been using and flashing swampy's basic roms of the past 3 months and they didnt seem to have this problem.....

i think my problem is kinda different as my connection is really being dropped that often. but rather, while im connected, nothing can recognise the conenction.
getting online via activesync and gprs is fine, just not wifi- very strange.
ive tried taking away the weather panel with m2dconfig; deleting the country; disabling auto update and so on but they didn't help unfortunately.
so...any more ideas?
btw i installed wifi profiles, tried to use it but uninstalled it in the end because it didnt help and it's not something i need. surely....thats irrelevant to my issue...

About wifi, make sure in wifi settings, powermode you tick off 'turn off wifi when not in use for 2 minutes'
Instead turn it on and off manually when needed.
I use AKwifitoogle very happily, will probably add it to next rom.
About windows media player...
Have you tried loading a different windows media player cab file (instead of the one provied with the ExtROM)
If that works better please report the link and I will be happy to try it and if better include in the next release

Hey my friend! Sorry I haven't been very active these days. Been going crazy playing with HTC Home Icons and Flash Home screens. Amazing stuff out there!!. Actually, I'm trying to find Colored Icon Bar, similar to those that are being posted all over for Touch Diamond. Haven't found one that works on BA Yet. Perhaps, maybe our icons are individual images? Didn't think about that.

Hi there i tryed to use some with my M2Dv4 and it caused to many probs with M2D so scraped idear! If you look at sundream's rom he had a file Battery.dll that has color icons the setting are hklm\security\resover\bitmaps\ Well something like that? can't remember exactly. hope this helps
Here's what i'm useing on my touch Diamond rom study *.rgu and you should work it out!

Thanks mate. I'll work on it later this afternoon. I just got a new 2400ah battery and I need to modify the Charging cradle so the phone can sit on it with the new thicker battery. Hope I can get 5 hrs use I've read otherwise, but I'll keep the hopes alive. EgzThunder is also a very resourceful man. I'm sure he has on his back pocket a working battery bar (Oh Don't think I'm being lazy)

5hrs what the hell do you do!!?? I have standard batt and with BT on all day linked to car audio + 1.5 hrs or so phone calls I get 2 days, and on stanby not used around 10 days a big batt like that would last me a week in use, It looks like you may have a charging prob, check your connections are clean hope this helps

I don't use itje's ROM, but we can work it out I think
1- try installing BOTH cabs (1st and 2nd) as described in the post
2- Regarding the video screens being blank, check your "video call options" and uncheck all boxes "switch camera off..."

I've already tried installing both cabs...and check the video call settings...still both video screen's are blank...
If uninstalled... the Caller's video (Me...on the small video screen) is encountering a very weird orientation...the Video of I am calling is fine...but my video seem like rotated on wrong orientation...
I tried to voice-out this on the other thread but It seem that they are not interested on "Video Call"...Hoping you can find solutions on this issue...for future references...

Hi gtrab...I've tried to install the 2 cabs...but still no luck on getting the video call working...
On Itje's ROM RC1.1 the cab seem to work by restoring the orrientation of the video image...but on the latest Touch-IT ROM (V4.0 II Blue)...still the screen goes total blackout...plus some humming sound during the call. I've tried to uninstall the videocall cab on the version of Touch-IT (V4.0 II) and the video call orientation returns to it's original state (wrong orrientation...or rotated.)
Anyway..i hope someone can find a fix on this...I really appreciate your quick reply on this issue...thank you very much and you guys rock!

Well I am using a standard UK 2 ROM right now because it lets me test my taskbar icons and some other goodies without interference or confusing bugs
The other phone is gone, I am waiting for another one right now, I think I will try Jack's latest and Itje's Topaz on that one
The videocall problems you describe here are not related to the CABs themselves, but to the topaz/rhodium ports onto the Xperia X1
And remember: many cooked ROMs are based on NAM R2A, thus lacking videocall abilities

I have been trying to cook a dialer with video calling support.
I cooked in the dialer, PhoneCanvas_3_50_36045_0.
The dialer does show 3g calling and conference.
But the issues starts once i receive a call.
If i slide to ignore the call, the dialer lags like 5 sec, before i am back to the home screen.
Then, if i turn off the screen, then call is not received. The phone does not even ring.
However once i turn on the screen, it shows a notification, that i have missed a call.
Then once again i switch off the screen, i receive call but the same thing with ignore.
If it might be of any help, i left out PhoneExt_Service.dll from cooking.
not sure, if that is what is the reason behind the problem.

Hard reset after flashing
Soft reset
No application installed.
Rotastrain Rhodium dialer for all

Does HD supports Video calling? i mean does it has front camera? i dont think it is an issue from the Dialer... but you can try the Stock HTC dialer from the original ROM

been busy with my exams so could not reply back earlier.
video calling works great, and i even mange to fix the caller idea issue.
but a new one has popped up...
when i dc a call, the dialer hangs/lags, like seriously it takes 5-10 sec for it go away.
however this is happening most of the time.
i fixed the registry entry to end the call after like 1 sec, coz 0sec sometimes creates problem, but of no use.
i think i am missing some packs.
anyone faced a similar issue earlier

I'm currently working on a Sense 2.5 ROM for my beloved X1 and most things work out quite good. I am using Manila Core 2022 and everything else (ecxept people) 2021. WM build is 29007.
Anyway the problem is as folows: If I make a call, it's not beeing logged in call history. If I miss a call, it's not in there as well, additionally I don't see the Icon in the taskbare notifying mee of the missed call. If I recieve a call, the dailer hangs sometimes and refuses to answer it. If it's shown at all, becouse more often I don't even see the call. If I successfully made/recieved a call, the dailer hangs for about 1-2 seconds and nothing responds.
I tried different dailers right now, all of them used to work perfectly in other builds with/and without sense. For that reason I think it might not be related to the dailer at all... What else could it be?

OK, I think I got it fixed. The Problem was related to the 29007 build. I just swapped some older packages in and everything is going fine

Elaborated further: I could reproduce the following:
When I open a contact card (HTC or WinMo, doesn't matter) and dail a number directly from there it does not get logged into the call history. The question now is: is it build related or are there any HTC tweaks responsible for that?
The problem appear regardless whether i have a Sense ROM or a "nonsense" ROM, so the people Tab (which was my first suspect) cannot be responsible for that!
Anyone any Idea? Who else has cooked some 29007 ROM?
To finish that topic: I found a package called "dailer fix" in here somewhere. It contains a older or modified cprog.exe (the dailer) and some registry files. Apparently that fixed the problem.
As far as I understood the newer versions of WinMo Builds have a different place to store the call history that the older ones but HTC's tools (dailer, Manila call history, etc) have the old places hardcoded inside. So using simply an older cprog.exe seems to have fixed that.

I have a strange problem.
I mod Jackos Rhodium ROMs (under his permission and valuable help) translating them to Polish, but I still continue to have one issue after my modifications.
Apparently my problem occurs only on WM6.5.x ROMs (currently on 21690, but before that Jackos used 28236 and the problem was there as well).
And the problem is that after some time since last SR the dialer just stops appearing after I press the "Send" button (or clicking the "Phone" link in Start Menu). After I make a SR, everything is fine for some time (sometimes 1h, sometimes 2-3 days) and out of a sudden I have to call someone and I press the Send key to bring up the dialer and... nothing happens. Sometimes only a SIP icon appears in the middle of the bottom homescreen softkeybar.
My modification is quite simple. I dump Jackos' ROMs using PRB mini kitchen which I got from Jackos (to flat dump form), exchange all the language files (mui, htm, txt) with Polish equivalents and recook the ROM adding 2 cabs to the config.txt which are used only to change some reg entries. Then I recook the ROM using the kitchen.
I reviewed all the mui files and all the reg changes and everything seems to be fine. Well, the ROM eventually works fine except for the dialer/phone canvas/SIP problem.
If you don't know what the problem is perhaps some of you can give me some advice where should I look?
I search the xda and other forums for few days and haven't bumped on any working solution...
Sorry for bumping, but I'm getting to nowhere...
I downloaded Jackos's full custom kitchen and spent 5 nights to adjust it for making 0415 ROM. I had to change many of the .mui files and hundreds of .reg, .rgu, provxml files. I decided to build all the polish packages from scratch to avoid any errors. And finally I built the ROM and besides problems with start menu structure it generally works fine. The memory management seems to be as good as original Jackos WWE ROMs (I didn't change anything in the base rom, only separated 0409 files from the packages and added 0415 packages).
But guess what! My dialer problem is baaaack...
After a SR the Sendkey works fine, but after a few phone calls it just doesn't bring the dialer/phone canvas to the front. The button itself is ok, because longpress works fine. And when I press the sendkey the light also goes on.
And the phone canvas is OK as well, because when I slide-open the keyboard and put any letter from the HQWERTY, the dialer appears immediately.
Furthermore I can now return to portrait closing the keyboard and do all the things I usually do with the dialer (put names, numbers, etc.)
Pleeeease help a poor cooking begginer because I have run out of ideas...
Stop crying and start debugging?
Use one of the tools to see the dependents of PhoneCanVas. I also suggest that you exclude all of your registry tweaks.
I'm crying 'cause I slept 2-3 hours per day since Sunday because if this @#$#%[email protected]%$
Just noticed one more thing. When the problem with the dialer happens it affect also Sense message notifications. I just received a text message and there is no "green dot" on the Sense slider nor on the notification bar. Only an SMS symbol on the taskbar.
After SR it's all good... for now...
Debugging... What tools you mean? I never played with no tools that can check the dependancy between packages...
Use the DependencyInspector by ultrashot. It's really easy to use.
Either I'm too stupid to use it or it shows nothing for PhoneCanvasEnhancement. I moved language folders in this package to the OEM way as I read this tool is for OSBuilder only, but still no effect...

It's designed to work with OEM packages and you're inspecting a EXT package. Try harder.
Well, the folder structure is like in the OEM package. What else should it need? a dsm? I could install OSBuilder and force it to build a dsm file for the package, but if the libraries have any dependances they should be detected by the DependencyInspector just like by the OSBuilder when building .dsm, shouldn't they?

Choose what you want to inspect. You can do better than that.
Well I'm afraid I don't get you... again...
I'm trying to inspect a package. As far as I tested on other packages (in the OEM folder) the app tests all the dlls and muis it can find. And testing a kitchen doesn't make any sense with this structure and only EXT packages, does it?

Well... not much findings anyway.
I have changed 3 .mui files (commctrl.dll.0415.mui, shellres.dll.0415.mui, phcanhtc.dll.0415.mui). They seemed OK by the resources, but all of them have some code inside as well. Perhaps this will help.
Havent found anything in the registry. But I'm just groping as I don't know where to pay attention. The error occures usually during normal use, I couldn't find any rule when it actually happens to be able to reproduce it later on.
Either way I now use another test ROM. We'll see...

Ehhh... still nothing. I haven't found any solution among the dependancies...
I even had a case when my dialer wouldn't have showed up right after flash (with no customisation).
But there's one additional matter. It's only the Send Key which could not trigger the phone canvas to show. When I clicked the PHONE shortcut from left softkey it showed up without problems. But the long press worked.
I started to search around for an information of the hard keys driver. But no breakthrough as well. I run out of ideas here...
Additionally I have another Rhodium (I've bought Jackos' one) and the problem is there also. So now I'm sure it's "my" PLK ROM problem, not a broken MoBo or anything else.
