To flash or not to Flash. Please advise. - HD2 General

Sorry if this is a really n00b question but I figured this would be the best place to ask it.
I live in Australia have recently purchased an HTC HD2.
It is the GSM version (non Telstra) and I am using an Optus 3G GSM SIM.
The current ROM version is 1.48.831.0 (71294) WWE The current Radio Version is 2.05.51.05_2
I want to know if it is safe to install a more up to date ROM on the phone as when I browse the australian website, the only ROM update available is for the telstra version of the phone and when I enter my serial number I am told that my phone is not supported.
I am able to use a different serial number to download a more up to date ROM from one of HTC's international sites but I am scared I will brick the phone or make it not work with my Optus SIM anymore if I install it.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi
You can absolutely flash the device with any stock or cooked ROM.
If you prefer to go for a stock ROM, the latest one is WWE 1.66.405.2.
You can download ROMs here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Leo/ROMs
If you go for a cooked ROM then obviously look for the developers page and read up on the ins and outs of his/her ROM.
If this is your first flash, I would recommend having a read of this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
You are also welcome to pop over the Whirlpool forum where you will find several people who have flashed their devices with new ROMs (stock and cooked).
The thread is long and there are several preceding thread; however, read the last few pages and jump on in. There are plenty of folk there happy to offer advice and support from our sunny shores.
By the way, I flashed the non-Telstra device from WWE 1.48 to 1.66 without a problem.

Perfect! Thankyou for the reply!!!

OK so I just finished reading through all the info on flashing and am feeling much more confident now.
Just one more question, what radio version did you install to go with the 1.66 ROM? or didn't you need to upgrade it, if so what version are you running?
EDIT: Depending on what image you use, it would appear that the radio ROM is flashed with the ROM? correct?
Thanks
EDIT2: I just figured out that I can download the official rom from the Hong Kong HTC site. It accepts my SN so I wont need an additional bootloader to install the rom.
The version is 1.72.831.1
The URL is http://www.htc.com/hk-en/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=297&cat=2&dl_id=906

Successfully flashed 1.72.831.1 last night using the standard bootloader.
Took about 6 minutes and no issues at all. Took about 40 minutes to get everything set back up the way I had it before so not too bad.
Straight out of the box the phone seems far more responsive than it did with 1.48. Faster still with the Glyph cache tweak and VSYNC off.
Radio signal seems better and the WiFi seems to be reliable with automatically connecting to my configured netowrks as I move around.
No negative side effects as of yet!

I'm sorry I didn't get back and respond last night; however, it sounds like everything has run smoothly and been a success.
Excellent news!
I find it so satisfying flashing a new ROM. It's kind of like purging the old and starting afresh with something new that suits your needs.
Have fun!

Telstra HTC HD - Flashing the ROM

I have a Telstra branded HD and wanted to know if anyone has tried flashing the ROM on one of these to a standard ROM?
If so, which one did you use to flash the ROM?
Not that I know anything about flashing ROM's and the phone is only a day old so I am a little worried about trying it.
The first thing I suppose.....is there anyway of backing up the ROM and anything else needed to return the phone to a Telstra branded ROM for warranty purposes if required.
I am at my wits end with this phone in it's current form as I am trying to run it with a vodafone SIM, so all the Telstra shortcuts and websites don't work anyway, that and the Telstra tab seems to replace the weather tab with the current ROM.
I suppose I had better see if I can search the forum for instructions on flashing ROM's for dummies....anyone know a good thread?
Flashing a ROM is not difficult its flashing an spl that is scary(since if you mess up or if your device shuts off while its in the process you have a brick in your hands now, with a rom all you need to do is try again.), also if you want it to be at stock condition if you want to revert back to the original ROM, then use USPL, doesn't change the spl. You have to dump the ROM from the device and then you save it some where safe, then you flash a ROM of your choice. Its not that hard to initiate the process though, since its basically the same for all the devices, if you search around here on the forum for a guide then that should do you some good , but since I am nice here are some useful links.
Guide to flashing:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Flashing Guide
USPL:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462347
HSPL:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217
List of cooked ROMs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=464463
Awesome, thanks for that, I am off to do some reading, one quick question...
On the first guide it says I need to CID-unlock the phone, it that what USPL and HSPL can do for me?
Yea, you don't have to cid unlock since its not available for the Blackstone yet.
Just HardSPL'd my Telstra BLAC120?
I've just used HardSPL on my Telstra Touch HD which is a BLAC120? Is it safe to continue flashing ROM's or can I somehow go back to the original SPL? Then use USPL?
The phone is still in working order after the HardSPL Flash.
Cheers,
-Lucus
HSPL is perfectly fine, but if you want it to be like stock(for warranty purposes), just use USPL to flash the original spl back. You are perfectly fine how you are Lucus Maximus.

This is making my head spin.....been reading and downloading and I am getting very confused, once it all falls into place I am guessing it is going to be easy.
Right I would like to dump the existing ROM and flash with a new one....I need to confirm the steps and what is required.
CID-Unlock the phone, from what you said I don't need to worry about this part
1. Run USPL - have downloaded v2.4...should be good to go
2. What is RUU Update as it mentions it in the instructions for USPL
3. I am guessing at this point I need to backup the existing ROM, not sure how this is done
3. Then the guide says to download the new ROM and run the exe and follow the steps.....sounds easy enough
Some of the guides don't really explain much.....anyway I am thinking of giving it a go.
So do you flash radio's and splash screens using the same method.
Sorry for all the questions (I am guessing you have heard them all before, but I can't find a thread from a ROM flashing virgin like me with all the info), I have been reading, but gets a little confusing after a while.
Ok, RUU update is just the .exe file to use the .nbh(rom file) so it can start flashing.
Hmmm. . . . . .if I had any htc device right now I would make a video guide. . . .
It takes like 2 times for you to get used to flashing a phone, don't worry we have all been there .

If you don't want to worry about backing up your existing ROM the Telstra one is available on the HTC website here
Hope that helps

Thanks for that....right now to go and find myself a new ROM.
Just out of interest, which ROM did you use Lucas?
Been looking at this.......
Dutty's ROMS
What is the difference with these:
HD V1.7 5.2.20769.1.4.5 Full CVSD WWE
HD V1.7 5.2.20769.1.4.5 Full MSVC WWE
I am yet to work out all this ROM talk......I am guessing WWE is the English version, but what is "CVSD" & "MSVC"
Oh and how do I work out what radio version these ROMS use to make sure it is the same as the one I have
When you turn on your device, look at the red R and see what it says, then when you flash a ROM with a different radio, just re flash yours.(same process as flashing a ROM but easier, and there are different radios available to DL).

FAQ: What are CVSD and MSVC.
Solution: CVSD is Cyberon Voice Speed Dial which is mostly the default voice application in most shipped ROMs. MSVC is Microsoft Voice Command which is an advance voice application from MS.
I tried Black Pearl, but most things I've read are saying that Dutty's is the best, so giving that a go now.
As long as I can get all the telstra site settings working I'll stick with it otherwise it's back to the Telstra ROM untill I can find out a way to get it all working.
-Lucus
Too easy, flashed the ROM to Duttys v1.7
Now to go and find all the missing ring tones and stuff, I think I saw something in a thread about Dutty having extra cabs to install this stuff...
I would recommended this to anyone who is trying to run the Telstra branded HD on anything other than the Telstra network.
Getting there now, I have managed to download all the ringtones and stuff, so I have more than the 3 ringtones supplied with the ROM
Where is this MSVC that is supposed to be part of the ROM???
Off to search some more and see what other software I can find.
This has made the Telstra branded HD a lot better, all Telstra branding has gone, including splash screen and the phone actually works now, can get POP3 email, Internet, Exchange email etc without an issue.
The first thing it did was set the phone up for the correct Network as soon as I put in the SIM and powered it up....great!
Well I was really pissed off with the HD with all the Telstra branding and was at the point of returning the HD and going back to the iPhone, but now things are starting to look up......we will see how things go.

Yep, all you needed to do is change the ROM, you didn't need to return anything. It was just the shipped ROM that's all.
Thanks again for your help....
Still trying to find the MSVC app in Dutty's ROM v1.7???
I downloaded the MSVC version, but can't see the application
great info here guys, just got my HD the other day and dislike all the Telstra branding. one question though before I begin changing ROM's, did you guys finally end up getting the weather tab to work, or the "customize tabs" option in the settings tab?
cheers,
Ditto! Can someone pls confirm Dutty's ROM has weather+stocks tab etc? And can someone who downloaded the Telstra ROM off HTC please mirror it somewhere? (attach here or mediafire it etc). Or if anyone has an official Blackstone rom from another region that would be good too... many thanks!

HELP - Vodafone UK user, ROM issues? *noob*

I recently bought my HTC HD2 from Vodafone UK, it has a ROM 1.43.405.1 and I cannot update the ROM from HTC website because after insert my SN in the validation box it tells me I cannot get the update....
What should I do?
I saw many ROMs on 4shared but I think they not the same in the HTC site...If they are which one of the should I get for my HTC and why? Will I be able to use my phone with my UK Sim?
Help please...
Windows on your ROM is licensed software, and you bought the license implicitly with your Leo, therefore is it "not possible" to just change ROM.
Having said that , google the forum a bit for SSPL and/or HSPL. there are several (graphical) guides that will tell you how to use them (sticky threads).
good luck!
anyone? someone? help me!

I thought that too but on 4shared they do not describe the features.
Any idea where can I see the features?
To put on other non mobile brand ROM, I must unlock the mobile first, right?
If that is the case, how do I unlock it?
If I put one ROM in the mobile and them upload another one will it delete the features from the one that was on the phone previously?
flashing roms is not connected to thee phone being network locked. it will still be locked after you flash it.
look for a world wide english rom version 1.66 (with 1.66 and wwe I'm the name)

No, doing a hard reset will only ever restore it to the rom you last flashed.
To get back to 'as you bought it' you need to find the rom that matches your device.
(for example in your case, voda UK, you find this rom
RUU_Leo_Vodafone_UK_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26. 50.07U_2.04.50.22_2_Ship.exe
)
If you then need to get back to stock, and remove HSPL, you can do it with that rom. (not quite as simple as just flashing it, , see the HSPL thread for how to remove HSPL)

One more question, each ROM completely cleans the before it, right? The features do not stuck up (add on)?
I would advise AGAINST blindly leeching any ROM from any online file sharer.
check this forum, read a bit, and select a ROM from a chef that has cooked something you like (speed, looks like stock, removed HTC, removed bloatware, etc etc). I've tried many, and almost all on this forum are excellent (some are more excellent than others though)..
Flashing a ROM completely cleans ALL settings on your phone, all data is gone, besides whatever is on your SD card.
same if you select Settings/Wipe Device option from the start menu.

Be aware that whilst flashing wipes all your old data/settings and such like, it doesn't necessarily wipe the old rom before flashing the new one, just flashes over it.
Roms can be different file sizes, (just compare a few RUU_Signed.nbh file sizes) so sometimes files can be left over from the previous rom. If you start getting random resets and freezes when you didnt before, it could be a sign of a bloated rom. Have a read of the mtty sticky. It looks a little overwhelming at first read, but dead simple really, and basically formats your rom before you flash the new rom.
my 2 pence here...
get the official WWE 1.66 ROM and see if that helps the phone, the 1.43 VF ROM is crap and both 1.48 and 1.66 are miles better so first thing is to give these a go. If, after successfully installing it, you wanna try something else then do so...
and read the n00b thread at the top of this forum...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
it tells you what to do, with videos if needed...
Hi, I have the same vf handset and was sick of the crappy ROM, I upgraded yesterday after weeks of research and was surprised how easy it was.
However, having had a day to test out my new 1.66 ROM, I have unfortunately found some problems and part of me think maybe I should have waited a little longer for vf to release it officially.
I'm hoping you guys will be able to help again as it may just need different tweaks to the settings...
1. The first problem is that Opera is slightly different, the settings tab has changed, it no longer allows zooming (including pinch zooming) and the pages are not displayed as full width. I have played with all the setting I can in Opera and BsB Tweaks but no joy.
2. I can no longer access TV catchup through Skyfire. The advertisement plays as normal and then it says "non-UK, unauthorised". Is this because it is a WWE ROM and not a UK one? Why isn't there a specific UK ROM like there was for 1.48?
3. Although the alarm volume bug seems to have been fixed, the alarm popup doesn't come up any more when it goes off, making it very difficult to "snooze" or "dismiss".
4. Several error messages have come up relating to the actual phone app, messaging app and audiomanager. The phone has also crashed and gone slow a bit and overall the messaging app is a little more buggy despite it appearing to send all messages.
Any advice would be much appreciated as this does seem as though it could be a much better ROM with some great benefits.
1.48 was also a WWE ROM - there hasn't been a set UK one other than ISP-based ones

Fair enough. I was just going by what it was implying on the HTC support page. 1.48 specifically says UK whereas 1.66 simply says WWE and makes no mention of UK.
Does anyone have any advice on the issues I'm having?
Also, if I wanted to revert back to the vf 1.43 ROM using the SD card to remove HSPL, how do I know the file I've downloaded from the shared folders is exactly the same as I had before? I read that it is more risky flashing without HSPL as you have less chance of fixing it if something goes wrong, does this also go for the method of reverting back using the SD card as it is removing the HSPL?

Official ROM Upgrade for HTC HD2 (T-Mobile) UK 26/04/10 1.72.110.4

Sorry if other people have already seen this, I did a search and couldn't find anything. I just noticed that T-Mobile have released (via HTC) an official UK (and Germany and Czech Republic) a 1.72 version of the ROM for the HD2 on the 26th April 2010 (2 days ago).

Im installing now...where do I find that info ? biggest noob of em all
Is this just for T Mobile usres as the name sugests??
Im on O2, completely new to Winmo and smart phones at that!!!
Not rele sure what i need to do, but im trying to sort things out.
No to 3.5..... shocker
Manila 2012 but I can't see any differences over the former 1920..... please feel free to correct me
Personally, I can't see / feel many if any decent changes.......
If you install, your phone will be as you originally received it (save the updated software) so you will have to re-install everything...
If I had the previous 1.43 I would flash back...
I havent added anything as yet as i only had it since monday!!
Sorry to sound dumb, was is flash back??
Then you have nothing to worry about....
is there some sort of changelog for this?
please do report on what its like, particularly stability and messaging
then i might do my first HD2 flash...
i upgraded from original 1.43 stock rom and must say its a lot smoother than before, doesnt freeze up as much very little lagging.
no real difference in battery life, maybe a touch better but the main difference for me is that HTC messaging works instead of me having to rever back to wm messaging.
also, it came with .net 3.5 so i dont know why others have said it doesnt.
well im sold!
will DL and flash tonight!
thanks for the report jonyid
Any Ideas

What ROM are you using, as T-MobUK have only had 1.43 and now 1.72?
I am also with T-MobUK but I quickly dumped ROM 1.43, HSPL'd and went for the HTC standard WWE 1.66 ROM. Since T-MobUK 1.72 is WWE1.66 with T-Mob bloatware added, then there is no point updating.

I recently upgraded my Tmobile 1.43 Rom to the new 1.72.110.4 from the HTC website. So far it seems to be ok. Not much of a difference: Solitaire and Bubble breaker have been added, You Tube, Bing search and one or two additions as well. Most importanly however is the performance of the HTC messaging program. I used PIM back toback up for my text messages, contacts, calender. Ugraded the ROM, (took about 10mins or less) and restored text messages from the back up file.
Restore process showed me 7000+ texts copied to the device. Restarted the device, checked messaging and got the "restoring messages" status bar. Took about 1 hour since then, I have noticed a marked improvement in the HTC messaging application. Can now continue using the phone even when a text comes in, can delete without having to wait ages for the device to start up again.
BTW I have some apps installed: TomTom 6, Swype, Skype, TCPMP player, Registry editor, etc.
Hope that information helps or encourages someone!
does anyone know if its possible to go back to the 1.43 ROM??? (just curious....)
Noob question here... as I have flashed my device and installed a custom ROM (or many) already will this take HSPL off my device? Will it be ok to do the normal install or will it brick my device?
I'm just trying to get my phone back to stock Rom levels as I need to return it to Tmobile and this is the only place I've managed to find the TmobileUK stock ROM.
Help? Please?!
Can anyone help with this at all? Please?!

I'm a total noob to HTC HD2 and Windows Mobile this is my very first device and have waitied some month to procure myself one lol
can someone help and let me know if it is possible and location to a factory rom for o2 or alternatives i'm open to suggestions
thanks... oh and HI community
sure. It wont go over teh top of it, but yes, it will replace it.
get hspl3 from my sig, run it, (with phone connected to usb) choose 2.08.hspl (NOT 2.08.0000, that's a stock spl)
get for example, the 1.66 wwe (world wide english)rom from the hd2 stock roms thread HERE (first post, first link, 1.66 folder)
run the .exe and it will flash over usb.
the phone will be like unused, so be sure and back up your data.
as long is it's not a tmobile usa phone- different memory config: bad for phone
it would already be a brick if it were a tmous, considering it is already running 1.72.110.4 (86525) WWE, , , hehehe
out of interest, why would you want to swap one provider branded rom for another? I'd go for the 1.66 wwe if i were you, , dont think that the 02 1.72 rom is updated, its teh same as 1.66, it just already has teh three or so updates applied, and it includes operator branding.
if you really want to flash the hd2 then i would suggest flashing one the roms from here. energy rom would be my choice..
thanks for the info guys
sorry been busy last few days
@samsamuel
Thanks for the info i'll try and do some more reading and try your method thx
and i wanna change the operator branding cuz i'm just picky lol its annoying clicking links on twitter and facebook and sms's etc and being taken to WEB 'n' WALK opera mobile browser even tho i've installed opera 10 for it :S its little annoying features that p me off lol with the o2 rom it would be as if its factory reset straight from o2 without me having to mess with too much stuff
i'm still a noob in such matters - don't wanna run before i can walk.
i've noticed the version i have installed ALREADY has some of the updates and tweaks included on the forums......
@Dumbquestion...... how would i tell if its a tmobile USA one? i'm pretty certain its not but i'd like to make sure.
i'm currently out of work and running on a shoestring budget and have saved up a long while now to buy this lol just dont wanna turn it into a £270 Brick lol
heh, well first, the web n walk stuff is down to t mo using a proxy, so you can forget that with o2.
in all honesty, go for the unbranded wwe 1.66 (in fact as of february o2 started shipping unbranded phones anyway, only some of the o2 customers can use that 1.7 o2 rom without needing hspl)
as for confirming its a u.k tmo phone, with the rom that's on it can't possibly be a tmous, they can only take roms v 2.x or better., however other ways to tell are
tmous has green send key red end key, 1024meg storage, and it says t mobile beneath the earpiece.
ahhh thats great news then.... i'm gonna go read up on the flashing and stuff before i even attempt anything
thanks for your help guys MANY thanks
oh one final thing..... can i back up the rom thats currently installed ? and re flash that back if and when i need to ?
well you can, but its not easy, and its pretty pointless. In the rom development section there is a thread called official roms or some such.(look in the 'list of stickies' sticky to find it)
In there, first post, first link, is a whole load of all the various official roms. All the wwe ones, most of the operator branded ones, most of the tmous ones (you can flash any rom, and any radio, , its only t mobile US (tmous) users that need to worry, so dont fret about that)
ok cool some sound advice thanks a lot

[ROM]RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.28.111.03_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50 _RELEASE

Here new ROM for Mozart
http://www.filefactory.com/file/b48..._1.28.111.03_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50_RELEASE.exe
DO NOT TRY TO FLASH THIS ROM FOR ANY OTHER DEVICE EXCEPT MOZART!
Enjoy!
THNX a LOT!
Hopefully it fixes my problems with sending text messages.
Will I lose my data (mainly my SMSes) if I install this update?
//EDIT -> according to several forums, I will lose my data...
and I haven't found any solution to backup my SMSes - yeah -.-
Is there anything I should regard or be aware of before updating?
//EDIT -> I just tried updating my phone and don't know how. It boots in the bootloader (RGB-test with some data on the device, SPL, the SD card, ...) just fine but the RUU doesn't find it.
I'm trying to flash it from a Windows XP machine - is there anything I have to take care of before I can flash it?
Or is there a real step-by-step manual for total dummies (I've flashed my HTC Diamond several times before without problems and have got no clue, why the PC won't find my Mozart).
The update process cancels with a CONNECTION ERROR [260].
will the hspa work on it from the tmobile usa after flashing this rom???
Invalid vender id
I have
INVALID VENDER ID
T-Mobile
Is there already a solution?
THX
nice greetings
Do you have the German T-Mobile version?
Mine flashed without any problems (after solving the driver problem...).
I have T-Mobile Austria.
but that this should be the same, right?
Greetings
Well, I'm not exactly sure.
However, if you think about the update failing with a wrong VENDOR ID - I guess it makes a difference.

are there any big noticable changes after flashing the new rom?
or is it just a minor security/stability update?
Be careful when uninstalling TMO apps
ROM is working very good, more fluent than stock version 1.25 - no problems found yet.
Still noticed the same problems with the stock ROM after uninstalling TMO shipped apps. When I uninstall Navigon the BING Map "Search" and "get directions" is gone/does not work anymore. When I remove "mediencenter" and plug in the headphones the phone is neither accepting nor able of making calls. However reflashing solves the problem - but you can't get rid of those TMO apps without losing functionality.

According to some other sites (just google the version number), this rom ships out with new devices. So no, it should not get you blocked, as it's a legit update.
Flashing is fairly easy: Backup everything you can, start you Mozart in Bootloader mode (pressing volume down while powering it on), plug it into your PC via USB, install the drivers if needed (done by installing Active Sync in XP, Windows Vista and newer should automatically find the needed drivers), start the updater and follow the instructions.
There is no official changelog, but several people think that the animations are smoother, the touchscreen reacts faster, ...
Seeing that there is no official changelog and the only thing we can do is assume what could have changed, I think there's no sense in discussing this. Especially since you can find several threads in other forums that discuss the changes in various lengths...
I haven't noticed any new problems after the update, so I guess it's at least as good as the previous version.
But this are just my thoughts

No you can't flash the HTC_Europe version, only the TMO_DE version.
TMO_DE stands for T-mobile Germany
HTC_Europe is the generic software for the non branded devices.
Doesn't make any difference except the useless apps you get from t-mobile.
But after you delete them everything is the same.
And for the record, You don't have to flash your phone at first... Installing new firmware IS flashing. so you just run the RUU and make sure zune is running and phone is running, not in stand-by.
And be sure to backup everything you want to keep, haven't flashed my mozart, but i think you lose all data when you flash it.
Sure someone else knows that.

Thanks for the answer!
I thought that I have to set the mozart in the bootloader mode, in order to flash. When I was telling it "flashing" I meant something like hspl like we had to do on the HD2, befor we could flash custom roms or htc roms on it.
edit: and is there any possibility to go back to: 1.25.2250.5 firmware (now installed on my phone)?
and last question this 1.28 version will not breake my warranty, right? It'S a normal t-mobile rom, isn't it?
Guys, I'm not sure I fully understand everything so far.
I basically have a Telstra (Australian) HTC 7 Mozart. From what I gather, I cannot flash this on my device until it is unbranded, is that correct?
hello to everyone.
I have a htc t-mobile mozart Germany but I live in Venezuela and I can assure you and proven DepNet.com for both 1.25 and 1.28
posted on this page to a friend Football and run to perfection
and also I can tell you that my phone came with 1.25 and the 1.28 istale him but then return to 1.25 and all is well.
and the echo for several times trying to place the Spanish language and if anyone can help I'd appreciate it forever
@ WinUser009:
HSPL was needed because we used to flash cooked (and therefore custom-made) ROMs, which were not signed by HTC or any other company able to sign them. These ROMs are unmodified and signed, which is why you can flash them without flashing any unlocked HSPL first.
Bootloader-mode is just a different mode to boot in - it does not need any changes to your phone!
I don't think that there is a possibility to go back to 1.25.xxx - but honestly why would you want to? But I have to admit that I have not yet tried it...
As to the warranty: that's a complicated matter...
This firmware is not official and my new Mozart (I got a new one after sending it in) still had the 1.25 firmware installed (someone posted that newer phones should ship with the 1.28). So there might be a person detecting that you flashed it yourself, if they keep sending out new phones with 1.25 preinstalled.
However, the phone I turned in had 1.28 flashed and I have not received any complaints when I sent it in for a replacement. So I guess it is up to your shop but it should not pose any problems!
@ameel
You can flash as soon as one of these things happen:
- custom roms are released that don't check for the carrier information
- you unlock your phone (somehow)
- Telstra releases an update
But as of now you can't flash these T-Mobile roms on your Mozart.
@minino405
Sorry, but I didn't understand your post. What did you try to tell / ask us?
I hope I could help you with some of your questions
